Had the previous model (DM2) "Elite" diesel for 5 yrs trouble free and then bought the same again, this time the 2019 Elite diesel (TM.2). Average fuel consumption for both (at the pump) 7.1 L/100km over a cumulative 90,000 km including 15 interstate trips. My only complaint re. the 2019 version is that the rear indicator lights have been relocated from the mid-line of the body, into the rear bumper. This means that the indicators are blocked from view when motorists following closely in heavy traffic don't notice the indicators working because the lights are below the normal line of sight. Alternatively, they look mid-body and don't see them flashing and so deviate at the last second into the left lane when I'm trying to make a right hand turn!! I much prefer the 8sp auto to the latest 8sp dual clutch....
Picking mine up new this Monday test drove a whole range of SUV from Ford, Jeep, BMW, izuzu, Kia, Subaru and the Hyundai santa fe active was the pick for me drive wise and the value you get for the price.
Just got mine new today gotta say hyundai has gone all out and uped there game with this one. Drives really well and is punchy with smooth gears and surprisingly fuel effeicent
We've had one for a few months. Brilliant. Great fuel economy and heaps of torque. 2.5 tonnes towing. Luv it.

Hi mate tats a good review ... can you review Ssangyong 2021 Rexton I believe it ll be a good competitor for Base Santa fe
Incredible looking interior for what's basically the base model.
Had mine for a couple of months awesome car 🚗
Would be kind for Sante Fe vs RAV4 review with both being AWD and similar boot capacity with the third row folded.
Totally different categories
I drove both, the Santafe pulls way harder and is also more nimble at turns, plus its more comfortable and more quiet inside
Not only is Australia upside down, they drive on the left.
