Pinning this for others! Possibly the friends copy had an issue. I tried many times but it only got half way for some reason so I assumed I was mistaken in thinking it went the entire way up!
The A6400 is close to the capabilities of the A6600. It lacks IBIS, but most lenses have IS which I think is quite capable. The thing is that this camera has the smaller Sony battery, so I would keep a few spares around. Depending on what you shoot, changing batteries is not a problem.
Sorry but in total disagreement with you. I have shot a national park with kit and special lenses. Pictures are extremely good. No blur. And no miss shots. Not sure where you are coming from
Hey hey! No need to apologise at all! We all will have out own experience with this equipment and this could come down to my own skills at the time of making the video. This video is all just my own opinion based on the experience I had with the gear and thought it would be helpful for others. Definitely not everyones experience and having people comment theirs helps viewers that find it because they will see that at the end of the day getting a well rounded view on the topic will help them in any decision making so thanks for commenting your own thoughts! 😁
Absolutely. The a6400 is a great start for anyone wanting to purchase a brand new starter camera that has interchangeable lenses and specifically a Sony brand 😊 However you can absolutely learn photography skills on phone, old film cameras, point and shoots etc.
I was just surprised it even had s-log 3 as an option. S-log 3 with 8-bit is not fun to grade and totally agree that HLG3 or even s-log 2 is a better choice.
Hey hey! The video was just trying to give advice targeted for new photographers since the a6400 is currently Sonys cheapest aps-c camera (bar the ZV-E10 which is more video focused) However if you aren’t a beginner and are looking to swap systems this camera still has plenty to offer.
I have purchased the same on 10 Dec it self with Sony 18-105 lens, but the shoe cap is missing there. Is is not coming now or really miss placed with company end. Pls help.
Would have no idea if its coming. Anything your ordered should all come together so Id suggest reaching out by call or email to whoever you purchased it from. Sorry I would have no idea 😅
If you are looking at mainly photography Id get this over the ZV-e10. If videography is where you want to progress Id go the ZV-e10. Both can do video and photo but this is just my personal opinion for a quick answer.
Buying 2nd hand is always a good choice but some people want to buy brand new so unfortunately the 6400 is the earliest model in that respect. The a5100 is a great camera even today!
@@A1ko_ Sensor on both is 24mp. The a6400 has a bit more ISO range. The a5100 only shoots 1080p -- no 4k. I think its 1080p looks better than the a6400 1080p. But the 4k on the a6400 is really nice.
@@TexpatOTG I was thinking of the a5000 my bad, still the a6000 series has an evf and a few more cool features for stills, the 5100 is an awesome webcam for cheap
@@A1ko_ Right ... A5000 was different. A5100 and a6000 both came out with the same innards. I think a5000 only had contrast AF too. I am going to upgrade soon. I have several a5100's. I want to wind up with 2 bodies with the fx30 sensor, 10-bit 4:2:2. I hope soon. Cheers
The screen can flip up completely so you can see yourself while taking pictures and videos.

Nice beginner-friendly down to earth review
Thanks!
All Im aiming to do is be down to earth 🤣

100% agree.
The older smaller battery wont last an entire day of use so the extra batteries are needed.

Very deep and informative video. Thanks
Thanks.
Really just hoping my own opinion will help others.
Camera never makes the photographer. Any camera will be fine to start.

Good Review mate 👍 👌 ❤
Thanks!
It was definitely eye opening to go back to a beginner camera from my a7iv 🤣
@troykentphotography Sometimes gotta go back and check out where we started ayy.. 💪
Hi! Is there any reason why you just recommend it for beginners? I’m looking forward to change my 80d to this one, but not as a beginner

I wouldn't invest in a camera that has the same sensor as my a5100. My flip screen haa touch focus and the flip up is better. I don't need 4k.

the a6400 has a higher res sensor than the a5100 wdym lol

Love you from Bangladesh 🥰🥰
😲 wowee so far!
Go full frame if you’re a photographer or go for black magic if you’re a cinematographer
Black magic cameras are crazy impressive 🤣
no shit sherlock
I got it brand new for 698 bucks.
Where?;
@@thaopia Amazon black Friday
Thats amazing!!! SOLID DEAL
@@troykentphotography not really..... It was further reduced for Christmas lightning deal , it's went down to 600 bucks😭😭😭
Kit lens is garbage.
Haha it was better than I expected. Worth it for absolute beginners but upgrading to better glass is always the next step!
