    Throwing this information out there for any potential customers: I like mine much and I've been doing pro sticks since 1978. My "custom" Laine came in at 397 grams full - length and my MacKinnon at 378 grams. The options are great!!! Being older a straighter stick was also needed and their LEON gave me that! I'm the cowbird and switch patterns depending upon what I'm doing so this company gives me options and a serious consistency that I appreciate. Hockey Tote

    How is the flex compared to Bauer/CCM? I feel like CCMs are softer than Bauer so 75 CCM would be around same as 70 Bauer. Where does this one go?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Год назад

      I find the flex consistent with other brands, but it is funny that you say CCM are softer than Bauer, when I had a comment 4 hours later saying CCM is stiffer than Bauer 😂.
      Retail sticks will have flex tolerances of about +- 10, so it really depends on the stick you get.
      Personally, I find all retail sticks to be comparable to each other right now. Some have a better release and kick, but the best test for flex is when passing and stick handling.

    Hey, i know this is a old video, but i could use your quick expertise on what you may know about ProRocc sticks based out on Canada, is it the same brand as the Pro stick in this video?? .. im being told that the chief engineer of bauer sticks does their ProRocc line. Do you know anythinf about the company or sticks? They have ProRocc listed sticks, and they also have listed Bauer Nexus 2N sticks with no graphics an wondering if i can expect a actual 2N type stick or if its gimmick.. any insight be greatly appreciate. Thanks for your time & efforts #33

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  2 года назад

      I don't know anything of those ProRocc sticks, from the look of it they are the same as all the other small (but not the same as the company in this video) companies out there that orders sticks through sites like Aliexpress. I always hear the same thing about all of the companies, that their sticks are the exact stick Bauer used x-years ago but they've never lived up to the hype.
      The only small brand stick like that I have seen and was impressed by was the one in this video.

    Curious if you'd tried out their other models, particularly their Third Line models that's about $50 cheaper then their Red Line models? Info on the website has it as 50g heavier (425g vs 375g) but seems like it'd be perfectly fine for once a week men's league use. Especially for those who probably wouldn't get the most out of a top-end stick anyway.

    • @HockeyReviews

      I have their Third Line as well, it is obviously heavier but the balance feels similar and overall the stick feels solid. Besides the HSM Pro Blackout Custom (basically a 400g version of this) the Third Line is hard to beat in value

    Did you have the mid kick or low kick version? I'm using Jetspeed FT5 prostock right now with hybrid kickpoint. I loved how FT ghost feeled in hand and the super round 70 flex is tempting cause I think it will be similar to that but you can only get it on low kick. I'm not shooting slapshots at all, only Matthews/Bedard style wrist/snapshots and I play with quite short stick. Have you tested both kick points and which one would you recommend?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  10 месяцев назад +1

      I have basically all shaft builds from them and will be doing a video in the future for it.
      Kick point is totally personal preference, generally speaking I like lows and hybrids more than mids.
      My favourite stick from PSHS is the Third Line, and mine is a mid but I feel like it doesn't sacrifice shooting like the Novium, Supreme, Tacks sticks do. Where you have to have perfect technique and really load the stick, I shot the mid Third Line pretty well and never felt like I was really missing anything because of the kick point.
      If I were to order another custom PSHS, I would personally go mid, but again it is totally personal preference and from what I remember PSHS has Third Line in 70 flex being low kick and the super round. I would say check that one out and it isn't THAT expensive so you can really experiment with things.

    • @J0nssi
      @J0nssi 10 месяцев назад

      @@HockeyReviews I'm going for the third line, 100 euros isnt much from the stick. I like the Jetspeeds hybrid kickpoint and have played both low and mid (CCM tacks and bauer vapor line) in the past. Maybe I go with the 70 flex super round first and if I dont like it that much I can go mid kick later (or maybe hybrid if they can create it someday).

    • @J0nssi
      @J0nssi 10 месяцев назад

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  10 месяцев назад +2

      @@J0nssi I don't have issues using the low kicks or the mids of these. Neither of them kick as hard as the top end sticks from other companies, but they don't feel like duds either.
      If I am buying a big brand stick, I am only buying the top end ones. PSHS offers too much of a value compared to the competition.

    Just a bit of information for shooters - sorry goalies I do that also but - the OVIE has that "staging" available in its release - the follow-through will be at 3-feet but if you slightly adjust the wrist, that puck stages upward. If you have not played goal then try to visualize that I can see your follow-through at its height and end of release - behind a group of payers - I can stick my glove out and it's in there - the OVIE blade shape and pattern allows for a slight staging where that visual is different from most sticks in how the puck comes off that blade. I've done this for 40+ years; Mogilny had some blades that were wood, curved etc. but the action that the goaltender saw was different from their normal view. The stiffness is actual, if not feeling stiffer...I could care less what anyone says here, but I've had former-NHL players and local (StL)coaches ask who I played for; this stick can deliver and if you ARE serious you've got consistency. I don't sell for him or anything like that - I just had the mindset, when younger, if I'm going to play and get the chance I want something in my hands that feels like an extension of my vision...into the net.
