I boiled red cabbage in water in microwave. Took colored water and mix with egg white. reassemble into egg with the yolk and fry. Serve with ham. That's my green eggs and ham from Dr Seuss.
Hi Abbey, Was looking to see if you had a video on stearic acid based products that make hot used cooking oil into a gel. I'm trying to figure out how that happens, and what exactly is in these products. Would be amazing to get your views/thoughts/maybe a video? Thanks in advance!
Just looked it up and was confused because I don't think it's a gel. What's happening is the stearic acid crystals act as "seeds" or seed the fat mixture. Basically, they serve as a template for the other oil molecules to crystallisation onto. It helps turn all that liquid fat into solid fat crystals, which is easier to dispose of. Seeding is also done in chocolate making, funny enough!

I need to remember this for Dr. Seuss Day!!
Could you do a video explaining how preservatives work? I've always wonder how they work but haven't taken the time to look into it.😅
This is a great idea! I'm actually working on a couple videos about food additives :)

Is food science a good career??
Personally, I think yes! It's a job that often only requires a bachelor's degree and the pay is better than most
@@AbbeytheFoodScientist ok... What's the salary of food scientists per month??
