Yessss! I'm really pale and one time I got a contour palette that claimed to be "perfect for anyone" and the lightest highlight shade was straight up my skin tone
Actually... the lighter you are the less mélanine you have... Precisely, it s because this lady has not so much melanine that she struggles to find her shade 👀
I never thought about how hard it must be for people with albinism to find makeup that matches their skin, especially black people with albinism. glad companies are actually considering all skin types.
girl i’m a red head and it’s so incredibly difficult to find a foundation or concealer that matches me that’s not gonna break the bank, and when i think i find a shade that matches when it dries down it turns orange...like a damn oompa loompa, i might have to go bag this foundation, i have faith in you rhi rhi!🙏🏻
Legit! I'm Irish & Cherokee, ended up super light but neutral -- the light shades most companies make are a JOKE!!! They either look flat white or warm/orange looking -- I gave up yrs ago and started mixing colors & brands to get an actual shade match. Most companies don't care about the outliers (deeper or lighter complexion girlies) -- they love the light tan to deeper bronze ladies.
@@angelacox8322exactly. We’re not all the Kardashians. If you’re very light or dark the makeup world likes to ignore you and pretend you don’t exist. For us very pale people even if you find one that doesn’t dry down orange, those lightest shades are too often warmer super pink or super yellow tones. Like who’s over here thinking jaundice and sunburn are a good look? Occasionally you’ll find a cool toned gray option. Which I guess grave pallor might be a look some people are going for, but not me. Just give us the neutral tones people. Neutral tones are the most likely to look good on the broadest spectrum of people. If you want to expand, great, add warmer and cooler tones, but please start with true neutrals.
@@sleepystrawberry1413 Right?! It is amazing that the dry down so often turns orange on those lightest shades. I would love a scientific explanation as to why because it is just infuriating. FWIW I have found that phenomenon to be more common in the more affordable foundations. I’ve had better luck with some of the professional and/or luxury targeted lines. So my theory is that perhaps the cheaper lines are using less stable ingredients and the more expensive lines are willing to spend a bit more for ingredients that are less likely to contribute to that color shift?
