I’ve only used them on my ends, for the same reasons you mentioned (it’s a short roller) but I graduated from the cotton pillow rollers to the satin ones cuz the cotton joints were drying my hair out. I like using them (I probably have a bunch in a bin somewhere in the house 😂)

Hair is great! I used to use the foam pillow on my weave. It was so sexy. I might use these on my twist out to stretch out my natural tight coily curls. Thank you lady. Great video as always.

What’s funny is that I have those rollers for years I mean years and I just came across them a few months ago and what I did like about them that they are easier to use then perm rods. And I like the grandma look lol I get more use out of my style, my hair last longer. And the grandma look only last for a day or two ha! I use these when I was a kid as a new age alternative to sponge curlers and toilet paper back in the early 80s I think. I had long thick relaxed hair. I'm totally surprised that you're using them wet LOL. I have never seen that before but you made it work

Yeah they are so comfortable to sleep in (just make sure you tuck the ends right or else it can poke you in the head but it’s easy to fix if that happens)

It's a different sexy look with coiled bangs. There's never an old look or style, because just like clothes everything evolves. Just needs a little tweaking here and there to frame yoirface. You look gorgeous. As far as an old style is concerned, the hair parted down the middle has been worn more thru out the centuries than the bangs. 😊 You're the best!

Love the new background! I used to use those satin rods back in the day. They work pretty much like sponge rollers, but the satin rods were better because they didn't rip your hair out like the sponge rollers did. I never used them when my hair was wet, tho. Maybe that's why they didn't bounce back after you took them out.
yeah, try on wet hair! you'll get a better hold!
Thank you for being honest about those satin rollers girl! I'll avoid doing that style because I just don't have the time or the energy to make the effort. I have those rollers and they will pop back in shape after a few days.

Suffocated the pillows 🤣🤣and that comment about the perm rods popping right after you got your hair rolled all nice 🙄🙄i felt that and if you did go with short look I've seen some do the 2 ponytails at front and leave the back out but it's more of a kiddie look if that way so all preference or to get that stretch shape where the bangs are in your face just use bobby pins but that's effort lol so the end result you had was gorgeous and the makeup flawless😍😍😍🤩🤩you did that (insert finger snap)

I tried these satin short pillow rollers. On my medium length hair give a tight curl with a bit of frizz. Not the look I want. I’m going back to the old fashioned bobble pins. They’re a better option for the look I want. But at least we know we have options.,❤💃🏽😊
Do you think it’s also a good idea to do a perm rod set with no part too ? Or would a part be better ?

what are rag curls? not sure if ive seen those
@@CurlieCrys yeah not many videos here on RUclips, especially with natural hair. A RUclipsr called Vivian (Viv Hair Therapy) done them, hope this visual example helps.
I don't really know how to explain it; other than its literally a rag, any sturdy material I guess, and it can be any length depending on your hair.
And the rag curls was like a Victorian era hair trend
Ohh got a better idea, rag curls VS Flexi rod sets (You don't have to do Flexi rod set again) just like a comparisons video. I've done Flexi rod sets once and gave up because 👀 I found them quite difficult.
