So I hesitantly followed your routine. I even had my hubby run out and purchase the Camille Rose leave in, I already had the design essential foam. Let me tell you something my hair turned out AMAZING🎉🎉! My hair was super dry so I sprayed aloe juice on my hair right before I applied the leave in and the shower cap. I only had to rewet the parts of my hair that were uncovered by the plastic cap, it was a game changer, I may use the technique for my wash and go’s. I am not a rod expert and I usually shy from attempting this style. We will see how long it lasts. But thank you hun! You are an excellent teacher ❤
I needed this. I tried to do perm rods for the first time in a long time last month. It wasn’t working for me so I gave up and used flexi rods instead. Maybe this series will convince me to give them another chance

Have you ever tried curl papers? It's been so many years since I "wet" set my hair but I used to use them to hold the ends down. They work really well. You might want to try them and see how you like them. But from what I see you're doing a wonderful job, your hair looks fantastic!

Question, my curls come out perfect from a roller set. After I go out in the heat, the roots go poof poof but the ends will still have a great curl. What do you recommend to stop the puffy roots? Thanks

Mannnnn.......i didn't get the finished look.....I look like I'm bout to march in with the senior ushers....my hair is tight and when I finger separated my curls went everywhere!!!!.....However....I did it on blowed out hair,next time wet and curled hair ....next video🥰
I have had a shoe box full of orange perm rods now for maybe about 20 years along with the white papers that was used when doing perm rod sets and I am going to give my salt and pepper hair a try with this style. Does using a particular mousse matters when setting the hair? I have Lottabody mousse.

I think you should see a dermatologist if possible if you have severe dryness. to introduce moisture try washing it every 3-5 days
Braids and weaves are already so impressive though.
To smooth my ends I use old school end papers.. closing the rods for tightness is still my challenge. Seeing you do seem simple. Thanks sis
I wish that the companies that make these would put some extra bands in the packages, because they do break sometimes.

It's really and truly all about the products you use to not have frizz as well as wrapping the hair on the permrod taunt.

Mine use to be that way until I started doing 2 strand twisting about a inch down then apply the perm rod! Makes a huge difference!
