I don't have the original Casio, but from pictures I've seen it looks pretty similar quality wise. This is only £10, or £6 in my case when I got it. Plus the backlight on this is far better than the original 4:37.
I got this for about $10. Really good for the price. Keeps +1.2s/day. Use it as my workout watch! The only gripe is that the bracelet can be a bit scratchy, same as yours. So it could do with a file down on mine

I bought an actual A158 for £19. I see no point why anyone would go for this. Just get the quality assurance and support the original brand and spend £9 more. If you want a £10 watch get the F91. SKMEI gets interesting when looking at their steel G-Shock copies, though. Now you're saving money

The average daily wage in China is 13.79 dollars. In India, it is about 4.81 dollar. In Nigeria, the average monthly salary is about 113.39 dollars. I guess, now you understand the need for cheaper watches, which also look nice.
@@TueLesPigeons I get that there is a market for them. But from a western POV where the price difference is only like $10 I would just get the original with its QC assurance and brand recognition. And if you really just wanna spend ~$9 get an F-91. In the west. I get that in China or India etc getting an imported real Casio is more expensive and wages are lower.
Great video! The back light is definitely much better than on the original Casio, but everything wlse seems just a bit better on the Casio, which is also very affordable. It could be interesting putting them next to each other and compare them head to head.
Love it! I have one like that , but without the Blue and the red on it, which makes it look way better :) €5,- is more like it, that's what I payed for it, only bad, the bracelet is way, way too short, does not fit at all, had to buy a NATO. Which is better anyways..

Like you, I think skmei has a far superior backlight for these little digital watches. Although the only thing missing is it seems on the particular models I bought the chimes for the alarm are almost inaudible. Not that the Casio models perform any better. Though that was my only complaint. I'm planning on buying the skmei 1660 which is the homage of the Casio A700 soon. Oh.. I'd also like to say well done with the review. Your video actually inspired me to give skmei a chance and I've not been disappointed.

Other than the backlight being on the Skmei and the overall finishing being slightly better on the Casio... I don;t think theres much else to honest. Also I did get mine for £6... Which is stupidly cheap for a watch.

Back light is way better than the one in the Casio, which is rubbish. The Casio needs a NATO too, and is way more expensive.

These skmei Casio homages are quite impressive in my opinion.

I bought this instead of F91W. It's actually not bad. I just don't like resin on Casio F91w. Very cheap

i have this watch, the time keeping is pretty inaccurate for a digital watch. about 1 second fast per day.
