Thanks for the video! I would love to see an in-depth tutorial of your day-to-day reminders workflow and hear if you have any tips on how to use the smart templates, hashtags and sections that Apple reminders now has with the latest iOS updates.
Hi Aaron, I really liked this video, short and sweet and to the point. Your voice is great for this sort of thing, not sure if you are a professional voice over artist. And your content felt well thought out and scripted.
Great video! I was wondering how you connect the next action to the corresponding project since they are in separate lists? Do you just write the name of the project under Notes in the Next action? From what I can tell you don’t use the subtask feature in Reminder. Thanks and look forward to more videos on the topic.
I'm so glad you liked the video! Personally, I like keeping my next actions and projects on different lists. I haven't used the sub tasks feature on reminders. I just make sure to mention or use the same language for my next action as it relates to the project. For example: project: sell car, next action: upload photos of car so I can sell it. But I might try adding the project name in the notes of the next actions like you mentioned!
@@jamesashby4334 I use notes too! Mainly for reference and project material though. I like how notes and reminders syncs with your iPhone and mac instantly
Good lord, I just found it in my Mac. Groups. Can’t create them on my phone that I can tell, but can use them once created. That alone is life changing.
Excellent video Aaron and thanks for taking the time to make and share I picked up a few ideas. My only feedback would be the choice of the slightly irritating background "music" and its volume which is a little distracting from your content :)
So...this was a little frustrating because for 2/3 of the video you showed what amounts to a basic tour of the standard Reminders features (I mean, I think everyone understands that you can set due dates). Then you sped through a much more complex setup but didn't actually explain how you've organized/set it up or what your workflow is like for using it, you just said "it's fun." As someone trying to figure out how to best organize Reminders for a real-life GTD with dozens of projects/contexts and hundreds of items, it's that second part that would be great to see a lot more detail on.
@@Fla-migo these aren’t just tasks! I have lists for reference like reading wish lists, checklists for systems, video ideas, quotes I like to keep, projects, waiting for etc. My actual next actions are like under 15 usually
Thank you for an awesome idea of using Reminders app!
Aaron, please, make the second part for advanced level

For this reason I use the Notes app for GTD. You can link back and forth between project notes and next action notes.

Hi Aaron. Great tutorial, but how are you creating folders in the Reminders app?

@@mominaustin on iPhone just drag one list onto another list and it asks if you want to create Folder Group. 😉
Just drag a list onto another list! It’s game changing
Make a template to download and use it
I think using trello makes more sence this it all over the place

Nice idea

Thank you for your comment, I really like that suggestion and will make a follow up video to go more in depth on reminder app workflow!
