I am from North London. I started Munjaro seven weeks ago, I have lost 17 pounds so far. I haven't had any major side effects and I am currently on 5mg. This injection has been a game changer for me after gaining so much weight during the menopause. I am slowly getting my confidence back and beginning to feel better about myself.

Hi Marcea, we are the same age and I’m also from England (Hertfordshire) and I’ve been binge-watching your Mounjaro videos since I found out you’re on it too! This has been something that has been on my mind to do for a while but I didn’t know of anyone else doing it in the UK until now. Like you said previously, there are hardly any UK RUclipsrs creating videos on this (although the numbers are starting to creep up). Anyway, you and your videos have given me the courage to go for it…. so today was my first 2.5mg injection 🎉 Unfortunately I won’t be making any videos because of my job. We're going away to Amsterdam for my boyfriends birthday next week and he really wants to enjoy the music and food with me so I'm going to take a week off as when we had a week in France, I couldn't eat anything and couldn't enjoy the music late into the night. Again like Glenn, he doesn't complain but I can see the disappointment when we go home early as I'm tired. We both deserve to have fun, we work so hard. Thanks as always for the great advice x

When you talked about taking photos on holidays I almost treated up. I'm so insecure when it comes to photos and there was a time in my life when I refused to be in any.
Just started Mounjaro last Thursday. I tried Wegovy earlier this year which worked wonders for me at first, took a break after eight weeks because my cut had been too high and I felt exhausted. When I took Wegovy the second time around it stopped working completely. A higher dose made me feel like crap unfortunately. I feel a huuuge difference between the lowest dose of Wegovy and the lowest dose of Mounjaro, however, the effect is not as strong as it was with Wegovy in the beginning and it takes much more effort to stay strong. I try to reach my 120 g protein goal every day and decided to only cut 500 kcal/day. So for I'm feeling great.

I am finally 51kg, still have 7kg to lose. Im leaving on the 22nd from Gatwick airport, got all my jabs and my poor 5yo had all his travel jabs so heartbreaking to see but atleast we are protected from malaria, cholora, rabies etc. Im from London ❤

Hi queen ❤ I'm now on week 14 and managed to get to 4.5 😅 i spoke to my GP and he suggested very very small meals on day 1/2 after injection to combat my horrible side effects and so far it's worked this week! I'm going to brave 5mg again next Friday xxx

I am from Germany, in my 18th week on Mounjaro. Started with BMI 38 and have finally arrived at 29.9 this week. I‘m very proud of that 🤩 and feel amazing. I have still 14 pounds to go. Then I‘m gonna decide weather more is necessary or weather I‘m fine with 74kg. I am currently on 5mg but might go up soon after our holiday trip.

I love those big posh continental breakfasts in the hotels but I have to admit I don't have the same sweet tooth as I used to have so its easier to say No,
in fact I was out for a family meal the other day for lunch.
I found it easy to say no to the dessert menu.
I don't know how I will fare on a daily basis in the Hotel in Tenerife where the food is concerned. Seeing such selection every day... I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
I love that You have all the explanations about your holidays, so its really good to know what to expect, and You do look fabulous in every photo and video.

Back to my holiday, I don't drink and I plan to be tucked up in bed by ten each evening.
I am only 52 not 92 lol but its just my routine.
I appreciate Your advice especially how You took Imodium Instants and I plan to take some with Me just in case. also as You mentioned (near the end as You did your summing up)
You advise we take paracetamol and ibuprofen which I do as I get migraines and have been "headachey" quite a bit lately which are often turning into migraines which can last for 3 days and nights so I want to catch those early to be in with a chance of seeing them off before they take hold of me.
I will be taking Imodium Instants with me as well,
and I am glad to hear all your advice as its my first holiday away since I started my MJ journey in June (I think) 2024 woohoo!

Thank you so much for this helpful vlog Marcea. I'm off to Italy for a week this time next month and planning on staying on my current dose of 7.5mg as it seems to be working. My dose day is Tuesday but I'll be flying out on the Monday (day before) and back on the Sunday. Was wondering whether to bring the dose date forward to the preceding Sunday and then taking my next dose just over a week's time on the next Tuesday as usual. 🤔
The other thing is security going through airports as I'm flying to Scotland (I live in SE England so fly from Gatwick or Luton) for Christmas and New Year so will be away for just over two weeks. I don't want to put my pen(s) in my hold luggage as it can get very cold in the hold in December and don't want the pens to freeze! So they'll have to go in my hand luggage. I'll put them in the box with prescribed label as you have said but was wondering if security will pull them out and question them as they're full of liquid? Also should I buy a special medicine travelling box for them? Is there such a thing? Sorry - I've never had to take liquid medicines on a plane in my hand luggage before!
Positive news today - it was my Calendar Week 2 try on of non-fitting clothes today - I can button up and zip up a pair of jeans that I couldn't even get near the top button two months ago. Also did my Renpro Calendar Month weigh in and it told me I've lost 1stone 12.6lbs since 12 August! So chuffed! Also a mac I couldn't get to button up last month now buttons, though still tight across chest so won't wear it yet but should be there hopefully next month!😀

Ok, travelling. Firstly I agree you need to keep your own with you in hand luggage - mainly incase your case goes missing. All medications are advised to be carried in hand luggage whatever they are. You can buy little chiller cases for your own or you could put in a lunch bag or flask. As long as you have proof of your prescription you will be fine sweetie.
I would definitely have my injection just before my trip and then do again on your return. For the sake of a couple of days it’s much easier. Obviously you have to do what is right for you but this is what I would do. I really hope you have an incredible time my love xxxx
Hi Marcea, I have binged watched all of your videos over the last couple of weeks, you are doing great and look AMAZING 😊 I am really wanting to start my own GLP1 journey but i'm wondering about the delivery from med express as I work full time and worry about missing the post, if it goes back to the sorting office they wont let you collect till the following day so the pen would be out of the fridge for a long time! At the moment this is the only thing stopping me from ordering XX

Can you pick a safe space for it to be left? I’m sure this can be done via the Royal Mail app. It can be out the fridge for a while because they are very well packaged with ice blocks and are so cold.
My last pen that arrived went straight on the fridge but I didn’t take the packaging out to the bin until the following day. The packs were still really cold even though they had defrosted.
The other thing is could you have delivered to work or a neighbour/family member?

My only issued that I have found is a bit of constipation 🤦🏿♂️how do you combat that?
Hello and welcome!!!!!! Well it’s a bit chilly here so I have a bit of sunshine envy.
Glad you are having a good journey. For constipation I suppose it’s important to make sure you are well hydrated, good amount of fibre etc. I’ve read that magnesium can help so this may be something you want to research a bit about. I’ve not needed it myself but it may be helpful.

@@ladymawayes we would have, how about traveling. Honestly this was so helpful. Starting on Mounjaro Tues In November we are going to Portugal on the Fri so that would be ideal, back on the following Monday ❤
When you are on your way there you should keep it with you in your hand luggage. Have it in the box that has your prescription label on it. If you are away for around a week I personally adjust my injection days to fit around the holiday so I don’t have to take it with me.
Are you already on it hun or starting it just before you go? If the very first injection is right before your holiday I would just wait til you are home because you could have dreadful side effects which would ruin your holiday.
You also need to check that your travel insurance doesn’t need to know about it. If they do then update them xxx
My pharmacist told me that there’s about a 2-3 hour window that it can be out of the fridge. He said if it’s out of the fridge during travel then it needs to stay at room temperature.
I was traveling on an airplane and the kind flight attendant kept it cool for me during my flight.
You can buy insulating pouches as well for your pens or pop them in a flask. They are ok for 21 days at room temp once opened though as long as kept under 30 degrees.

My husband developed pancreatitis after a free bar at a wedding, bless him he drunk too much and was in intensive care 😔 . I disagree with free bars they're not good for people x

I think it very much depends on the individual though re free bars. We all have a responsibility to ourselves don’t you think.

Sorry about your husband. However I strongly disagree with limiting everyone else, as the large majority of people have self control. So would be very unfair to take a service that is a nice gesture away from people, just because a few don’t know when to stop. Personal responsibility is a must

You look amazing! I’m thinking of doing this but am wondering 🤔 do you have to ween yourself off when you have reached your target? Do you start lowering the dose before you stop? When you eventually stop injecting, have you completely retrained your brain or do you think the old food noise will return? Just interested to know? I do plan to work back down the doses again once I reach my goal. I’m not sure how long I will stay on it but I suppose I will just have to wait and see. The thing is it’s not just about food. It’s about how our body responds to GLP1s including our natural GLP1. I will wait and see what new studies and research shows etc before reaching a final decision.

Research says it’s best to ween yourself off. The injection doesn’t retrain the brain, you have to do that. The medication wears off/wont be present in the body after about 30 days after your last injection, of which how your body behaved prior to the injection will return. At this point it’s completely up to you if you keep the weight off, just like any weight loss journey when you reach your goal weight.
@@Jade-jd8qq yes I know hun however there is also how we respond to glp1 which is an actual consideration. Some people may need to be in a small dose forever. Have you heard about micro dosing - very interesting reading. Xx
Hi- Why are you considering going up a dose when 7.5 is working for you with minimal side effects? I'm trying to figure out what to consider when moving up.
The fact I am not having side effects is good. If I was having them I would definitely not be moving up. So this is a good reason to move up because I know I’m less likely to have bad effects.
My weight loss has really slowed down. I just feel I am really ready to move up. It’s hard to explain. I just feel it is time. If I don’t like it on new dose I can move back down. xxx
I’m still having real bad side effects with this drug. Can’t sleep as my stomach is super sore. Flatulence, burping, nausea. It’s horrible. Of course I’ve lost weight as I’m ill 5 days out of 7.
This is awful. What your diet like hun? How long have you been on it, what dose etc xxx

Oh no. Why did you move up dose? I think if you were having bad side effects on 2.5mg it would only get worse on the higher dose. Have you thought about moving back down? You shouldn’t be this ill hun. Get in touch with your provider lovely and let them know. They might move you down and be able to prescribe you an anti emetic xxx
@@ladymawa I spoke to my provider and they said side effects are usual but as my body gets used to the drug I’d get next to no side effects. I thought after one month my body would be getting used to it.
I personally don’t think you should be ill 5 days a week hun. What’s the worst side effect you have hun? I feel sad for you xxx

I have been told that the drug can make your hair start thinning have you found this.
Its not the drug that does this but rapid weightloss. This could be from any method. I have recently been wondering if mine is slightly finer. It isn’t falling out though. I have had very steady sensible losses, take biotin and use hair treatments etc.xx

Iv stopped the injection because my hair is falling out so badly, I havnt had rapid weight loss 1lb to 2lb a week. I can't find a proper awnser from anyone ie will it grow back will it stop after a while so I stopped which is a shame because my diabetes went from bad to pre diabetic.
That’s a shame but at least your sugars are now under control.
Did you take biotin, have enough protein etc? I’ve heard a few people talk about hair loss. I’m not shedding any extra but I’m keeping an eye on things.
