    I’ve owned these for over 20 years. Never turned them off always sounded beautiful with strong bass. Very clear as well. I really miss the 5.1 version of this however after going through 2 sets they always fail at the amp/ subwoofer unit. I bought the creative labs they sounded good. Not as good as the Klipsch Now everything is RGB but speakers are for sound. I resorted hooking up my old 2.1 back to a new gamer I just purchased.

      I’m a couple years behind you, and still got my Logitech Z560 4.1 400 watt system from 2002. I haven’t used it in more than a decade as the control pod volume knob gave out. Miss the days when Logitech and Klipsch were duking it out over high end pc speakers.
      That market doesn’t really exist anymore as everyone uses headphones or if they want, can easily piece together something great.

    This is an ad more than a review. No mention of the negatives.
    For those watching; I’d say these are a good value, but be ready for muddy bass and very limited dispersion (aka to get them to sound right they need to be pointed right at your ears). Also, QC is dodgy so a lot have hissing/humming.

    I just purchased the Klipsch 2.1 computer speakers and I just built a new high-end gaming computer (Windows 11). When I plug in the green speaker to the back of my computer, there is a loud sound coming from the system and speakers, kind of like feedback. I have the volume on my computer down low and the volume on the speakers set to 50%. I have tried various sound settings and it still makes this noise. No, I only connect it once, but why would that noise come from plugging in the green wire? Thank you.

    my pair is about done for due to the attached wiring board where the speakers connect. I replaced this but still ocassionally will lose sound in one of the speakers. Its enough to finally consider getting rid of it for a new set. It sounds like I am going to buy the same pair unless someone can guide me to what the next "upgrade" over these are? PC Speaker market doesnt seem to have a thoughtful coherent scaling list.

      @smiIingman 4 месяца назад

      @@roybatty- ive been using the logitech z523 for a lil over 10 years now and i thought id upgrade to the z623 but man what a mistake that was.
      In my experience, the z623 is way too extreme, in regular talk videos they sound like tin cans so you have to turn up the bass to get some fullness to the speakers voice but when there is music or a bassy moment in a video, the z623 seriously blast you in the face to the point where it's super extreme so you have to turn down the bass knob by a ton, but that means youre back to listening to a tin can again.
      It's like there is no middle ground with these like there is with the z523, i have the bass knob at like 20% and it's just perfect but the z623 at 20% is nonexistent
      Maybe my unit was defective though

    Me trying to figure out if, on the promedia I literally just opened today, brand new, the bass is supposed to be near nonexistently quiet. Even with control panel setting speakers to 20% and subwoofer to 100%, listening to the "bass test" videos on youtube at a good volume for the speakers produces only the slightest noise on the subwoofer if you have your head next to it. Trying to figure out if it's supposed to be like this and what to do with it.

    Good buying advice for the market this speaker system is designed for... students, gamers, or just average, entry-level folks who want to see what their computer system can do. Great listening for all kinds of music, and cheap... which means more people can get it and love gaming or listening to your tunes at home... and start learning to appreciate good audio. Omg watching a lot of these videos left me with much higher expectations. The bass doesn't impress me. I have a really old falling apart Harmon kardon 395. It's so old I just set my tab on 100% and play music. I got this new speaker and it's suggested that I don't put the input volume at 100% . I don't know exactly where the recommended 70% is but I tried putting the volume line at between half and full. The old Harmon kardon sounds lounder. The Harmon kardon has a 18watt 5inch sub and this has a 50watt 6.5in sub. It's new and I don't wanna set input volume at 100% because the manufacturer doesn't recommend that

      What do you expect from a guy that calls the satellite speakers "tweeters".... @2:18

  • @101less
    @101less 6 месяцев назад

    Dude, tweeters are the small high frequency (think cymbals) only drivers located at the top of the small satellite cabinets. The satellites also host a midrange/mid-bass driver which handles the majority of the voice and instrument frequencies. You should be referring to the satellites where you're saying tweeters. If you're going to do a video as though you know something about sound, please get the terminology right... the video is otherwise fine, but every time you say tweeters I just cringe. Sorry for winging lol...

  • @Tatertot01
    @Tatertot01 11 месяцев назад +3

    No mention of any cons? How about the fact there's no power button. Klipsch expects you to leave these speakers on 24/7. Ask yourself if a quality set of speakers would have a dumb design like that. The subwoofer is loud but also muddy. There's almost no mid-range. And the highs can be a bit harsh. If you do decide to unplug the speakers you may get a loud pop sound from the subwoofer. Repeatedly doing this can eventually cause the sub to fail.
    The build quality feels cheap imo. Then they put a blinding LED on there to let you know when your speakers are on when you're expected to leave your speakers on all the time anyway. Brilliant!
