Those 95' skins are unbelievably good!
Fun Fact: In the 1995 movie's lore, the color yellow is the color of cowardice, according to the Lin Kuei. This is why Scorpion wore their uniform in that color; basically to mock them as cowards.
Fun Fact: The scorpion in the 1995 movie was named Takeda and not Hanzo Hasashi.
Takeda was a friend of Kung Lao (MK Conquest TV Series).
A small arachnid scorpion enter in the Takeda's body, from that moment on, the parasite makes him Scorpion.
Yellow is not the color of cowardice, it was simply the color of that parasite.
The ninja costume of the Zaterrians or Scorpion has magical origins, it is not something they choose to wear.
It is like the Venom symbiote in Spider-Man.
Especially in the case of Reptile, since it was the living statue that generated his costume.

Those Scorpion and Sub-Zero outfits were always my favorite! 🤩 And this fight was godly!
Fighters in MK 11 and MK1, since they are scanning real people, are the closest we have to the digitalized fighters we had in MK, MK2, MK3 and Trilogy.

This match up doesn’t just put the biggest smile on my face it makes my Friday night and takes me back to my childhood in the 90s because of there skins. Scorpion and Sub Zero aka 🔥 and 🧊are my two all time favorite MK characters I’m even more happy to see them fighting alongside there doubles.
I went back to 1997 to the times when i watch the first movie, it's amazing..

Seeing them in game with outstanding graphics, shows how good that design was. Mad props to the costume designer(s) for the movie. Still one of my favorite movies of the 90s.
Not to mention Goro and Raiden.

I think the graphics have finally surpassed the MK2 era of digitized characters. The graphics have long since been better obviously, probably since PS2 but never reached the realism of the old classic 2d games. That was a huge part of what makes mortal kombat mortal kombat.

I am obsessed with the classic skins...but I must say unmasked Sub zero in MK DA is really bad ass and underrated.
Legend says they are still fighting to this day....
I’m waiting for the day that MK is not turn base arcade style anymore and becomes counter base cinematic. By that I mean adding dodging and parrying mid combo. I know some characters have combos that have breathing room for you to counter, also there is the breaker feature and the throw escape. I was thinking of a more dynamic play. Something like street fighter’s parry but dynamically adapting based on the moves of the other character. Imagine MK annihilation’s Scorpion vs Sub-zero fight, that scene where sub-zero kicks, scorpion catches it, he flips kick the scorpion flips and lands on Sub-zero. Imagine a counter to a counter to a counter but all fluidly implemented. I hope someone understands what I just wrote lol 😢
