Paul Parlette Orndorff Jr. (October 29, 1949 - July 12, 2021), nicknamed "Mr. Wonderful", was an American professional wrestler and college football player, best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
After seven years working around the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), Orndorff became a star in the 1980s WWF wrestling boom, and featured with manager Bobby Heenan and champion Hulk Hogan extensively, including in the main events of the first WrestleMania and Survivor Series. With an untreated neck injury, he left the WWF for WCW in early 1990, where he won the WCW World Television Championship and the WCW World Tag Team Championship with Paul Roma (as a team called Pretty Wonderful).
Arm atrophy from a nagging injury led him to retire in 2000 and he was treated for cancer in 2011. After retiring, he trained aspiring wrestlers. Orndorff was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and the National Wrestling Alliance Hall of Fame in 2009.
On July 12, 2021, Orndorff died of his dementia at the age of 71 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Paul Orndorff is buried at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville North Carolina. - Развлечения
Fine content. WTH with the hair? I seriously can't get over a man of your age with this cut. Grow up.
Then find another channel to watch lol. Who actually writes that to a complete stranger?? 😂😂
What the heck is that fool talking about your hair for. Tell him to grow up
@@SCOTTONTAPE ...someone with a stupid haircut. Looks ridiculous.
@@SCOTTONTAPE I write that to a complete stranger that looks like an idiot.
Seriously? I'm sensing some hair envy. It's OK to not like your hair and/or age, but it's not OK to be a jerk to others who have better luck/genetics than what you're insecure about.
A Big Part of my childhood watching the WWF back in the 80's. RIP Mr. Wonderful. 😢❤ Thank you Scott .
pro wrestling boom in the 80's was awesome.
Orndorff was a key part of WrestleMania 1.
Hulk Orndorff was a great feud.
I met him as a kid. Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. I never knew who he was just that he was one of the in town WWF wrestler. He stopped and told me to be good to my parents.
Me, my Lil Bro, and our Dad watching WWF on Saturdays those were the best days ever. May Pops rest in peace❤❤
Wrestling will never be the same as it was in the 80s/90s. May he rest in peace. Thanks for the wonderful memories in the squared circle
I met Paul about 10 years ago. Super nice guy. One of my favorite wrestlers of all time.
I’ll never forget that red robe he had on leaving the ima sports arena one night. Like 1986 or 1987
Scott, if you are still in GA.....go to Greenlawn Cemetary in Roswell GA......Ravishing Rick Rude, Atlanta Hawks legend Dan Roundfield, NFL Hall of Famer Chris Doleman, and Braves baseball announcers Ernie Johnson and Pete Van Wieren are all there.
He is my favorite wrestler of all time. It broke my heart when he passed away. Thank you for posting the video.
Like you said. He was HEWWG (huge), tough to watch him disappear right before our eyes.
One of my favorite wrestlers of that time.
Great memories of watching wwf with my late dad and bro.
RIP, Paul, Dad and Nick.❤
Thanks for the great memories Paul. You and Roddy were so much fun to watch! May Paul rest in peace but his soul go on
I first saw Mr Orndorff on WTBS in the early 80s on Georgia Championship Wrestling. He was great. His battles against Ivan Koloff and Killer Brooks were memorable.
Hi Scott! I am watching your video right now. I remember mr. Wonderful, he was in both wwf and wcw. Thank you for posting this video. You are awesome. Mr. Wonderful was managed by Bobby Heenan.
Growing up, I always cheered for the villains in wrestling, movies, cartoons etc. I loved the Cobra Commander in G.I Joe including Destro. Like I literally dreamt about working with Cobra Commander. Even with He-Man I cheered for Skeletor and his comrades. When kids were talking about eating their vitamins and saying prayers because Hogan told them to do so, I was cheering for Paul Orndorff and the Iron Sheik. I even have a set of the Iranian hammers in my home office signed by The Sheik when I was in college back in 1996. The Sheik didn’t give them to me, my old Strength And Conditioning coach gave them to me. I’m from the southeast (Georgia) where the NWA/WCW was king. But I still watched the WWF/WWE on Sunday afternoon when it aired on USA and Saturday night was NWA night then myself and friends went to our local skating rink Cascades. RIP King Paul, I worked out hard so I could get the same physique as Paul
Thanks Scott and I hope you’re enjoying my home state of Georgia
Time can be cruel, Mr#1derful in his prime was untouchable. Thank you for keeping his memory alive .
Thanks! Scott for taking me down childhood memories .Rip Mr Wonderful

RIP Paul definitely one of the greatest wrestler of the 80s gone to soon.
Again you in light my past. Well done Scott.
Scott I love love love how you take your time when you show the final resting places. You don't rush through it at all. You're always so kind to the deceased as well as those who are viewing your videos. You give us time to take it all in (to fully see the headstone, read all of the words, and taking the whole atmosphere of the cemetery). Thank you for being such an incredible content creator! ☺️👍
I sure remember him, it's sad watching all your videos of these wrestlers from the 80s who have passed. Thanks for the memories, great job as always!
I grew up watching paul And Rick flyer With Tollie Blanchard only Anderson iron Anderson.
You're not gonna beat the 4 horseman and the old Racheling, it was totally different back in those days.
Now it's like looking at a bunch of gymnastics, hop around.
Love your video. Keep up the good work. God bless your brother

Thanks heaps Scott as a huge wrestling fanI certainly remember Paul Orndorff. Thanks so much.

Hello again Scott!, another good video. I used to love the wrestling when l was younger and the American, Hulk and Mr Wonderfull were great viewing.
Take care of yourself
A UK fan ❤..........
Its how hard to understand the death of a loved one. and i 've been having alot feelings angry, sad, then happy when i think of my mom. but so glad that i found scott on youtube. I love him and they way he cares for so many. 💗❤Vickie
I cant recall him and i used to watch wrestling all the time thats for doing this for all of us. Keep up the great work.
The Brandon Bull...Legit athlete and tough! RIP Mr. Wonderful!
I didn't even realize Mr #1derful had passed...Good stuff Scott...Thanks for sharing!!!!
I am glad to be able to get to see it early. 🎉
My cousin got a camcorder in 1984 and we would do our wrestling interviews on it before heading to the yard to have our matches lol. I was always Mr. Wonderful I was 12 year old 7th grader by the 8th grade I graduated up to the Hulkster. I always found Hogan in later years to be demeaning towards Paul never getting his last name right.
Oh scott i love and respect you and i feel bad about the instagram mistake. I've been so sad since my moms death and i have'nt been doing things right since my mom died. I don't want to disppoint you. Your such a sweet guy.😃🥰from Vickie

Great Wrestler Rest In Peace Paul Orndorff You will be missed 😢
Good man SCOTT love your videos...YOUR THE BEST EVERRRRRRR....
I KNOOOOW YOU GONNA DIG THIS
How sad that a fellow who looked like he could have taken on Superman ended up in such poor condition. I do believe that sports like wrestling and boxing does a lot of damage to a person's body. I often wondered why these two sports aren't band. He did seem to live a longer life though then many of the others had. It's just kind of shocking to see the before and after of him. Nice video Scott. RIP Paul ♥💐
He was my hero in the 80s, and the video of him in the hospital was shocking. Thank You for the video, RIP Mr. Wonderful.
Thank u scott for taking us along on another amazing trip I try to get to as many celeb graves I can but don't document and there's some I would never get to see with my own eyes so I can live through you and your journeys want to hit seattle for the cobain stuff your coverage is amazing!!!!
I Was 12 In 1985.That Was so Awesome MR T Hogan Piper. Legendary!
Orndorff, was legit bad azz, I watched him beat the crap out of a very large and tough man, in shower shoes (flip flops) name need not mentioned as he passed as well. He was also a kind decent man with a great sense of humor. RIP
Paul Orndorff (Mr. Wonderful) continue to RIP 🌹
Thank you for this video
Thank you for sharing with us. You kick àss scott much love
Rest In Peace Paul Orndorff
I especially love when you post wrestling related content. Keep em coming lol
I was fortunate enough to heve been at the original WrestleMania with my dad whom i lost in 2015.That final match was awesome and being at that event was such an amazing experience. Its always sad seeing another Wrestler from my childhood and so many others whom were a big part of the 80s pass on R.I.P great video .
So sorry for your loss Scott!

Hi Scott❤
Omg scary I remember this I graduated and 85 at 18time flys
Love the tributes you do for those amazing WWF wrestlers from back in the day. Orndorff was a great bad guy. For awhile he was a good guy but it wasn't the same.
Thanks for vid on his grave. One of my favorites.
We enjoyed this video!
Thanks for sharing. Keep it going
🌹
Orndorff was wonderful.
Orndorff was unreal in the 80's.
Scott On Tape: I attended an event hosted by Children’s Miracle Network in Roanoke, Virginia because Tony Atlas and Paul “Mr. Wonderful” Orndorff was going to be there. I am like you - I remember the massive chest, huge arms and washboard abs. I walked by him several times before I realized it was him - my heart broke because he was a shell of his former self and in so much pain, he was unable to stand!
Geez, Scott, I've never heard of him but was interesting. Was usually Hulk Hogan I recall. I feel an old friend is here seeing you post, thanks friend. Makes my day!
HE...HAD..A...WONDERFUL LIFE 😊
Thanks so much for the memories
God rest his soul🌹
He was in wrestling when it was wrestling not the stuff now. Rest in Peace Paul 😢
Went to a wrestling show in Chicago after the show was over Mr Wonderful was standing outside signing autographs for fans and it was a cold night but he was out there thought that was cool of him !!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generosity Christopher!!
Great video! Got miffed at that really rude comment about your hair below, which is awesome. You rock brother! Thank you for another great story! Be Well!
