For an addict, she is very well put together, personable, and physically attractive. But damn, she talks way too fast. Talking with her for more than five minutes would be absolutely exhausting.
I agree😅. Even the subtitles can't go fast enough... I probably miss some points. However, she seems aware and educated. Maybe the fact that she got no sores and having a "home" keeps her in a little denial. I don't know, she's been there for 5 years. It's time for her to take off before it's too late I think.

You’re absolutely 100% correct. If you don’t plant the seed it can’t grow. When you first use drugs like opiates, fentanyl, coke, etc.. you let a demon in your body, the more you use the stronger the demon gets and the harder and harder it becomes to stop, the fentanyl/opiates activate opiate receptors triggering the release of large amounts of dopamine which is known as the feel good chemical soon after using opiates the brain stops producing and releasing dopamine naturally and only way to get it is use the drugs to get it. Other drugs works the similar. Stopping fentanyl/opiates is so incredibly difficult not only the physical pain from from stopping due to the opiate receptors waking back up and being empty and the brain also not producing endorphins for pain but having no dopamine a severe dopamine dump causes extreme mental pain feeling so bad depressed zero motivation zero energy etc.. words really cant explain how bad it is. I’m a struggling opiate addict many years I wish I never let that demon in it’s another kind of furious animal to beat, it rewires brain chemistry it also causes real brain damage it’s horrible stuff it will steal your soul and make you a slave to it, your life will revolve around it. No one is in control and have the power to just stop anyone can become a addict no one is special and has a special kind of brain chemistry that allows them to use without ever becoming addicted. It’s best to just never use

Jordan might have good intentions of wanting to help others but i've been watching too many of these interviews for too many years to yet see ONE PERSON come back to the area of their addiction to help anyone. Jeff should have pushed back, in my opinion, to her future dreams and got her to focus on herself first. We hear it over and over and over again yet nobody seems to do it. Fix yourself first. Then worry about the rest later.
Jeff, Frank, others were addicts and come back and help.

I’ve done that. Some of these interviewers used to use drugs in the area they cover.

I think that Jordan is fooling herself that shes somehow not like everybody else in her active addiction. We as addicts believe that were all unique...but were not. She will succumb to her addiction just like everyone else eventually does

I’ve heard a few people on this channel with self-awareness like that, though this lady is extraordinary. They must have some good harm reduction and education in that area. We need people like this woman in the struggle to keep these efforts going. They are helping, whereas the Drug War hasn’t changed a thing in 60 years and has ruined so many lives and futures!

Excellent interview Jeff. Jordan still looks good after 5 year run I’m glad she has a place to get inside that’s why her teeth look so good she takes care of herself as far as hygiene. But I not putting that drug in her body that’s not taking care of herself. I’m really sorry for her loss but we don’t want to lose her so I really hope Jordan gets in a recovery program and gets her life back and goes on to helping others one day. Jordan in my thoughts and prayers. I’m rooting for you! Thanks Jeff for all of the people you help every day. I believe Jordan has a good chance but she’s been 5 years she needs to get out soon . ❤I
This girl is so young and beautiful praying she’s able to get off this shit…so smart and well spoken I’m really rooting for you Jordan. I was on methadone years ago for two years came off stayed clean for 8 months and relapsed. Been clean now since 2016 thank God. The joke at the end tho 😂😂
She has a Batchelors degree.. She has so much to offer in the job world. I hope she does away with this life. The door are open for her.😊

Suboxone works, I have seen several people completely turn their lives around on suboxone. I am talking getting degrees, careers etc.

Great interview Jeff as always! Ms. Jordan is a well spoken ,highly educated beautiful young lady that just happens to be a drug addict. I wish I could feel sorry for her but she sounds like she has made some POOR & BAD CHOICES like the rest of us. Now she is going to have to pay the price for her sins and try to get back on track or the rest of her life will be a life of struggle , poverty ,pain ,suffering and poor health or maybe even premature death.

Agree, but then you hear why she relapsed and it makes sense. Losing a brother, your stepdad and your partner within 3 months of each other, will hit hard. I’m not surprised she relapsed after going through that. It’s very sad. She’s a very likeable young lady, and I think she’s got the grit to get herself out of this. A lot of intelligence and self awareness. She’ll make it. ❤

Therapy has saved me from the pitfalls of addiction.
Me too. Wonderful therapist and Lexapro (5mg). Saved my life. Lexapro is a relief, adding to the brain the little chemicals laking and and helping dealing with overflawing emotions. But most of all, therapy to understand how to deal with that messy brain of mine.
@@Isabel-ui3ny funny you mention Lexapro. I take it too. As a psychologist, it is a game changer for so many people as it helps with anxiety and depression as a result of elevated anxiety.

I’ve never in the 100’s of videos I’ve watched was someone this clean & smart! She’s an attractive woman & could be putting herself in danger out there…
Jeff, hopefully she stops doing this. Just advise her to leave the area before it's too late. I got the impression that in this place they are specially kept in some way, while they are beautiful, full of strength. Perhaps there is a hidden business going on at the expense of the girls. This is why they often get trapped.

it really bothers me that everyone on here is judging these girls by how they look etc. Just because she is pretty doesnt mean she is any better than any of the other girls or guys that get interviewed. Its annoying how quickly ppl seem to be given a pass based on how they "look". In my book pretty is .. as pretty does.
It’s crazy but This is how RUclips works. All my male interviews get the least amount of views. And the “attractive “ the women get the most views.

so her dad had a drinking problem then moved to florida ? um , florida is like the worst state to live in if u dont want to drink , drinking is like the national past time of floridians . there are bars everywhere and drinking parties everywhere all year round .

What is her education level? Temple University BA in Journalism. 2012 graduate. 33 years old. 5 years plan living in Kensington. She can start a local newspaper or zine to help the 5,000 young addicted people living on Kensington Street., Are there any sober homeless living on Kensington Street due to financial situations? What is the shelter that many people talk about? How much is to rent a room in the neighborhood? I cannot believe she did not go to her brothers funeral. There are a lot of addict's who believe in God or a higher power. Many groups and individuals treating wounds and handing out food. Yoga and meditation along with teaching street medicine with medical supplies to the addicts would help to improve their living situation. If I was the Mayor of Philadelphia I would install sharp containers and port-a-potties where they congregate with signage to properly dispose of the needles and hire the them with monetary compensation to clean the streets would be my approach to mitigating the problem.
Iam so glad I have not done drugs in my life. I grew up in the 60s and saw the beatles, rolling stones and bob dylan in the 60s. All my friends were doing drugs and I thought to my self wtf. I have had a pretty good life and iam 72.

I’m 23, I’ve been clean and prescribed methadone since 2020.
I did heroin from age 16-20.
I plan to try weaning off of methadone soon.
