The first scene you described from my days spending my summers in East LA ive seen it first hand LAPD and LA County Sheriff's would approach a traffic stop like this obviously this was before the body cams this entire movie was very accurate from the gangs to how the cops used to operate out in LA
I work at a police department for a small town as a Cadet so I understand what the officers there handle but working for the county is it similar to that just in a large area?
The first scene doesn't seem to plausible to me with all due respect. If the officers are aware that the man is dangerous why would they come at him aggressively with guns drawn to then use the mirror for excuse to ask him to step out of the cad. The man however stupid he may have been knew instantly that this wasn't right and reached for his gun because he likely knew very well that the officers were taking him in. I have no doubt that he would have been charged with multiple crimes either way but I'm not sure that in court the way the officers handled it would hold up very well. If you intend on using PC for further investigation knowing that the person may be dangerous you wouldn't go to the car guns drawn and asking the driver to step out of the car. You'd ask him for an ID and registration while you and mostly your partner are getting a visual of who and what is inside of the car. You'd then try and make it look like it's just a traffic stop which often positively impacts the whole encounter ex: allowing officers the time to assess where the weapon is and prevent it from being pointed towards them. As shown in the clip, it was a close call and one that could have potentially been avoided. Say that this happens with a man who cooperates with the police officers, he could then sue the police department for a magnitude of misconducts such as the use of excessive force by drawing their weapons upon exiting the police cruiser and ordering him out for what should have been a simple ID and citation situation. Regardless of wether or not that man is guilty of another crime it could've turned badly either way for the officers either in court of law or in this case shown, in the loss of a life. For all intents and purposes if you are gonna draw your guns out immediately before even meeting the guy, wouldn't you be better off putting him under arrest on the spot weapons pointed at him? I'm referring to this specific situation
So funny enough the second scene happened to a cop in Springfield and as you can imagine he was fired for fist fighting a suspect 😂
This was so fun to watch, you’re killing it 🔥

I would like to watch more videos like this. I like it when cops react to police movies or when vets react to military movies.
Can you do the Rookie tv show! Awesome work by the way!
06:10 its not the 1970s anymore?
