Great questions and also great setting! I'm glad we're getting over the "novelty" of having women fronting metal bands, and dismissing them almost with the term "female fronted", without even listening to the music. Looking forward to the day where the gender of the vocalist doesn't matter anymore. I feel we're getting there!
You sjw types are making female fronted bands a novelty more than anyone. Males and females are different, get over it. Metal is masculine, so naturally we will notice a difference if there is a female lead in a metal band. The same way we Americans notice a difference between bacon and turkey bacon. Nobody but blue haired feminists and neo marxist types thinks you're some "good guy" for acting like female and male metal singers are the same. You look like a disingenuous tool.
Where am I saying they're the same? They're obviously different, and it add diversity to the sound. The problem relies on dismissing ALL of the bands fronted by women by reducing them to a "female fronted metal" genre which says absolutely nothing of what kind of music they play, and merely placing all of the attention to the fact that they are female.

I used to listen to Wagner operas for hours, with Obituary and Entombed as break songs. I like them not mixed together.

Mili - You may want to look into the "Band" that make-up Leaves Eyes, "Atrocity", especially their 1st 4 albums. I'm picky with Symphonic/Darkwave/meets Folk Metal, but I'm open to it all (some genres, not at all).
