The Softening Point of Hardwax is 76°c, so the Sun will not melt or even soften the hardwax.

I don't think it's a good idea to use a non Solid substance as a filler. Using a wax is only a temporary solution. Theirs putty and liquid plastic that sets hard permanently that do a far better job.
