mesmerizing... i met her through first position and she is so extremely improved since then... it looks like she doesn't need any effort to do that staff! it hurts looking at her and knowing that i will never be even the 1/100 of what she is!
If you watch her performance of this exact variation at Moscow, you'll see that she performs it much better. In that performance, she reminds me of Gillian Murphy or Marianela Nunez in her character. It is difficult for young dancers to perform Odile, but I agree with you; this is one of the best performances of a young dancer in this variation :)
It seems almost all videos I've seen from Varna feature sub-par picture quality compared w. other official, professionally shot vids. Anyone else notice this, or know why? Still grateful to see them, though.
You are so many people's role models. . . including mine! You're an absolutely AMAZING ballerina and I love watching your videos. I hope you never stop dancing! I also saw your performance at the YAGP finals. I was there too and you were great! Congrats!!
Lovely to see this after watching the so promising 13-yr-old Miko in the same (w. some differences) variation. I LIKE that she's smiling a bit here, an improvement over the too stone-faced look then. Yes, Odile is evil, but she's also seductive & enjoying herself & her power. ALSO, I feel performing this out of context allows f. a bit more latitude & audience-pleasing smiling than in the full ballet. In any case, a very nice progression, comparing the 2. Too bad about the video quality & angle.
as amazing as she is, I think she needs to work on her odile persona a bit more. maybe it's just me, but this just doesn't come off as "Odile" to me. it needs to be more seductive, more evil just... more Odile. other than that, her technique is absolutely perfect and she commands the stage!
She danced this variation when she was twelve, now it is soooooo much better!

I am having my ballet exam later and you inspired me. :)

Gorgeous!
I totally agree - Her performance was beautiful - but she's only 15 here! She'll begin showing more passion as she matures.
So beautiful
j'aime trop, j'aimerai trop pouvoir danser comme ça!!!!!!!!!!!! Superbe
She's great:0*--*
You are so amazing I wish I was like you!!!
what a sweet, chirpy, smiley Odile......
She's great:0*--*:))
Truly beautiful, even if Odile is supposed to be a bit more evil than this portrayal. Lovely arms.
I don't think I spelled Odet right
+Daniela Albert odette i think
I guess it's because her technique is now better, but she seems to be dancing the character as if it was a really happy one and not Odile.
She almost fell! But it was still amazing!
Good
13
Very Beautiful!!!3
Gorgeous, dear!
I liked her better in this variation when she was 12 :(
Wow

She'd be better as Odet
i no
Her arms though...
Like a true swan!🎶🎶🐔🐔
This is the variation of the scene where Odile is pretending to be Odette, to make the prince dance with her (Odile).
lovely dancer, crappy video quality. What a shame!
yeah she needs more personality, like dont get me wrong she is good but its sooo blank
so beautiful
