I hope you enjoy the video! Sorry about the cracking voice over at some parts, it's something out of my control! ;)
A friend got this for me for my 21st. Having no experience in modelling, I found the instructions lacking, and was struggling to put it together.
This video was a great help, and I just finally finished it!
That looks great! I'm about to build the Messerschmitt... I showed my partner your video and she started giggling, then looked at me saying "You realise that your's won't look anything like that!". Then burst out laughing as she left the room.
:0)
😂 Glad you guys enjoyed haha! I'm sure yours will come out fantastically mate :D Have fun with it!
If you want type “S” underside then you can! It’s your model and it looks fantastic!
Very true! Thank you!
Just got my hands on th 1/72 hawker set from airfix to practice painting camouflage on after my current project (nice flat aerobatic scheme jets). Your finish is beautifully sharp, especially on a smaller scale kit, inspiring work :)
Working on mine now. Your video was very helpful.
You are amazing!!! I absolutely loved this. Thank you so much.
Aw thank you so much!!! It's absolutely my pleasure mate ☺️
Great job, great washing. I have that kit.
Looks pretty good. Nice work. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! And no problem!
Wow ! this is fab! thank you very much! You helped me to build mine 👍 😎
No problem!
Lovely job, making one of these at the moment and your vid was inspirational 😃👍
Very glad to hear it! 😃
Just putting the finishing touches on one myself. Very nice kit.
😄
Seeing that separate rear underside part makes me hope that Airfix will release an early Mk.I, without the ventral fin at the rear, and possibly even a decent Sea Hurricane.
The first boxing of Airfix's fabric-winged Mk I (A02067) provided transfers and parts to build a 111 Sqn RAF machine without the ventral fairing and a Belgian Air Force one with the fairing. Both options have the 2-blade prop.
Very nice work, the kit went together really nicely and the paint work and weathering as well was very nice.
If you want a sharper line, it might be worth upping the pressure and using very little aperture on the airbrush.
Keep up the good work !
Thanks for the advice mate!
@@ModellingWeekly very welcome !
Use masks--that's what they did on the real thing!
How do you ensure there is no overspray from the air brush while painting the green camo?
Being a amateur, would like to know how to attempt camo schemes without making tape.
You essentially just spray as close as possible, and pray haha. It's not a flawless art, so it's perfectly ok to mess up here and there (trust me, I do it more than I'd like to admit), but with practice you should get exponentially more proficient at it! I'd buy a cheap test kit that you can practice on, that often helps. I also have a tutorial about spraying freehand camo which has a few handy tips, but at the end of the day it really is just a game of practice. Hope this helps!
Nice job.
Thanks :)
There´s something about Hurricanes.. :) Not bilt many myself but i should.
👍
🙂
,airfix, последние выпуски моделей - блеск!
Excellent build son 👍
I'm working on one at the moment I hope mo e turns out like yours.
What are you going to do next?
Thanks! I'm sure yours will come out brilliant! I have two videos coming out soon, I'll be doing an Airbrush deep clean tutorial, and then a full build of the Airfix folland gnat :)
Nice work. How long did you leave the oilwash to dry before the Matt wood varnish, plus what did you thin that varnish with?
Just over 24 hours, as it was only a very small amount - i thinned down the varnish with water :)
Also! If you are planning to use wood varnish, make sure it is clear! Some have a brown tint to them :)
Great, thanks for the prompt response.
@@davepasopton8840 No problem :)
Love the build, but I think you need to thin your paint just a little more
Thanks man! I'll take that into consideration next time - there is a bit of an orange peel going on there!
What was the wire made from and how did you secure it?
I used some very thin fishing line painted black - it was secured with super glue
Oh ok thanks 😊
Лучшая модель на данный момент.
большое спасибо!
Alright i suppose.
I appreciate your helpful comment! 😀
Pretty good in fact! :0)
