I just bought a Cobra Class 4 and was looking for some simple and well presented videos on the basics of working with it. Looks like I found a hidden gem.
You have great videos!! Thank you for the video content. Not sure if this is normal or not, I have the same machine without the eps. When I on tack or off tack, my stitches (the needle) are not lining up in reverse. What’s strange is that it works fine on thinner material, but a knife sheath with 3 layers of 6-7 oz veg tan it’s off. I checked to see if the timing was on point and it looks like it’s spot on. Any suggestions?
@@albaneforleather There is sooo much information in that Facebook group. Thank you for the suggestion as I don't like to waste folks time!! My heads about to explode :)
This really helped Al. Thank you. I guess I didn’t find it earlier because I was looking for the term back stitch instead of on/off tacking. Would like to know more about when to engage the reverse lever though. Are you looking at needle position or that top lever? Thank you!!!
Al, looks like your servo allows single stitch revolutions with your foot pedal depression. Is that so? Or are you just smooth with timing the foot pedal? Also, when I’m tacking, I always seem to get an unsightly mess on the backside. Any hints on how to clean that up? Great videos, thanks.
Do you know if it is normal for the check spring to jerk quickly before it takes the load (as it does in your video)? I’m quite sure this is due to the thread not passing around the bobbin face entirely before the check spring comes into the mix but no matter how I time my machine and or change the resting position of the check spring, I get a jerk. Maybe it’s normal!

Very very clear presentation. More short simple videos like this. (I will pay for Vern to take cinematography classes)

I use the electronic positioning system which allows me to tap the pedal one time and make one stitch at a time
