OMG I’m so jelly (jealous) as my daughter would say. Talk about drool. Thank you I think😊. Love fried zucchini’s probably along the same. I could smell them. Yum.

Thanks for the video. Corn flake crumbs is also a good coating for fried (zucchini.) I found a volunteer patty pan plant growing in the field behind my house with 26 squashes this size and some a bit smaller. I am glad to see they are not overgrown, for eating without peeling. Do you think I will also be able to stir fry chunks with some onion and soy sauce without peeling?

Yes! you do not need to ever peel them the skin is so thin you can make them anyway you like too. My wife is Chinese, and we stir-fry them all the time. they are a very good squash.

@@craiggreen2145 Thanks for your reply, this may be a white patty pan cross bred with a (volunteer) pumpkin plant nearby (also in the field) as I could barely cut through one of smaller of them (about 5-6 inches across,) and decided to (seed it as the seeds were very ripe and tough) and microwave chunks of it with some butter and bit of water. After it was cooked; the skin was soft enough to eat, but the flesh was very strange; more starchy and potato like, not like any patty pan I have ever had and not like a pumpkin either. Or did it have a strange texture because it was so large? It makes me nervous to try the bigger ones...lol I cook small (soft skinned) patty pan in the microwave all of the time, so I'm not sure if the big ones can be or not. What do you think?

@@Sundial1k Not knowing where they came from or what they may have cross-bred with makes it hard to confirm. Even if it is crossed with a pumpkin you can roast them in the oven until they get tender.

@@craiggreen2145 Thanks, that "starchy" quality has me baffled. Do large patty pan have more of a starchy texture? Almost like over whipped gluey mashed potatoes.
