    Hey Bull my brother, we were in your neck of the woods last week. Ms. Fran said she needed a road trip ,so she is the boss .God Bless my brother. the garden is looking great ,mines are not that large, but they are getting there.

    Try cooking paddy Pan squash sweet, sugar cinnamon, nutmeg, cook in water enough to get them tender and looking like preserve, make homemade yeast bread. This is a good Louisiana creole way of cooking them, yum 😋

      Add real sweet cream butter also. Every ingredient amount depends on the amount of squash you’re preparing.

    Great haul and information. I enjoyed that type of squash as a child. I will add more organic matter to my yellow patty pan squash that are in transplant phase now.

    I planted my zucchini and squash at the same time. My zucchini did well before it died. My squash didn’t do anything so I pulled them up and planted two crook neck and one patty pan. They have gotten bigger than the previous ones so maybe I’m doing something right! Great harvest you have!

    The first bed you harvested from, I believe that was your organic matter only bed, right? They are gorgeous! A beautiful harvest. I've never tried Patty Pans, nor have I grown them. Well, it's about that time! TFS 😘❤️

    Hi I learned something cool ... I didn't let the apples sit for 30 days on purpose ... I just didn't get to them yet I had tons and tons of fruits and vegetables to sift through and learned this by chance 😲🧑‍🌾🍏🍏🍏🍎🍎🍎 ... So I learned that if you let the apple age and when it starts going bad open it up and try not to break the seeds loose .. just gently slice parts of the outer layer of the apple away ..

    I miss our chickens. Ours were free range too.
    Man, I wish we had produce already. We can't even plant anything outside until the second week of June because it snows early June pretty much every year here in the mountains. Very nice Bull!

    Wee love patty pans. Yours are huge!! We cut off the cap & seed them, then stuff them with sausage & onions and bake them in the oven.

    The squash look great. Gardening and being able to grow our own food is one of the greatest gifts.
    Question, are those buckets (with the plants in them) buried in the soil are did you cut them in half??

      The bottoms are cut out of the buckets so the roots can spread. I like doing that so when I feed my plants it doesn’t leach out everywhere

    Really big patty pan. I did start my zucchini's, Italian stripped, cocozelle the seedling came up fast. Patty pan is the one thing I haven't started yet.

    So with the patty pan squash I have in Canada,they tend to get very large seeds when they grow over the size of my fist,how do you prepare them when they get that large?
