Kunming's altitude ranges from one thousand to two thousand meters, so strenuous exercise may be uncomfortable.
The most beautiful scenery in Yunnan Province is probably in the north, such as Yubeng Village at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain, where there are magnificent mountains, forests and glaciers.Xishuangbanna in the southernmost part of Yunnan is a typical tropical rainforest scenery and is known as Little Thailand.

I see in all of your videos the respect, good wishes, and love you have for the scenery, for the local people and vise versa. I see the simillar experiences I had when I was rushing really badly for the last bus right before their closing hour. This is what travel means to be. Kunming is in the Yunnan province of China. Yunnan accounts for 4% of China's territory, but *it is home to almost three-quarters of the country's protected species.* It harbors more than 19,000 plants, which represents the highest plant diversity in the country. The province has 802 species of birds - more than 60% of China's and 9% of the world's total. Yunnan is home to incredible 18,000 plants species, more than half of all species in China, and there are more species of mushrooms in Yunnan than anywhere else in the world.
China's national park system will be the largest in the world, covering all the key ecosystems in the country. In addition to setting aside areas as wilderness, China's national parks will also allow the citizens to enjoy and experience nature and learn about the importance of its protection. China is also making great strides in the protection of its own wild nature.
This biodiversity is possible because of the great variety of landscapes and ecosystems in Yunnan. The south of the province is covered by lowland tropical rainforests, while the north is the start of the Himalaya and the Tibetan Plateau, a spectacular landscape of rugged forested valleys, clear mountain rivers and snowcapped peaks.

Two years ago, when I visited my old classmates, I stayed in Kunming for a week, sightseeing on my own and having a great time.
I don't know if you are still in Yunnan, but if you are, I highly recommend going to the restaurant floor in the mall and finding a restaurant that serves mushrooms to try.
Now is the season for harvesting wild mushrooms in Yunnan, and there are many delicious mushrooms. People in Yunnan also place great importance on eating fresh wild mushrooms in the summer. Some of these are delicious but toxic and need to be cooked correctly by a specialized restaurant to be safe to eat. Most reputable restaurants in the city are qualified to serve wild mushroom dishes.
I used to think I hated mushrooms until I had seasonal wild mushrooms in Kunming. They were so delicious that I fell in love with those delicacies immediately.

Interesting question: why people wave more in boat or cable cart? Perhaps because both sides realize that is the only moment in life they are in the closest distance , then separated after this moment. Very interesting observations.

When you are IN China it is challenging to get access to thorough English Speaking information about the places you want to go. China has a long way to go to make it user friendly for foreigners who do not speak or read Chinese. Small details are important. It will take a long time.

Hi Naomi and Luke, if you guys are still visiting China 1st Oct (a week before and after), just to let you know that day is the National Day in China, especially heavy traffic when locals will move about between cities. Outskirts rural areas are better during that time. I'm not from China but was informed by my tour agency as I'm also planning my 6th trip to China to the Avatar mountain (keeping fingers crossed).

boasts vast lakes, rolling hills, quaint villages dotted here and there, and abundant folk activities, making it a paradise for those seeking natural beauty, cultural landscapes, and leisurely holidays. If you're still in Yunnan, a visit to Puzhehei is truly worthwhile.

The reason why I like watching you video is your English speaking is not too fast like other English country people so I can practice my English listening. And the video in chinese website, English will be translated into Chinese. I will have a good understanding. Usually i will watch your videos in Chinese website just like other Chinese will to do. By the way, this video has 200k views in bilibili, more than other Foreigner's video in China. ❤❤

Hi Naomi and Luck🤗 I came from Kunming! so happy to see my hometown in your channel and highly recommend you to visit DouNan flower market (direct by subway)& Wetland Park. The sunset is amazing there. In the downtown, the Cuihu Lake is beautiful too. If you miss western food, there are some authentic restaurants around. Mushroom hot pot maybe a little bit expensive but worth trying! which is a Yunnan specialtie😊 Wish you have a good time in Kunming 🎉
