- In this video, I run through every season of Survivor US and talk about who was looked at as the front-runners to win by the Edgic community on every season of the show.

As someone who is kinda old and remembers this stuff in real time...Amazon and PI were thouroughly spoiled before the seasons ever aired- to the point where the spoilers made their way into the unspoiled edgic community (and it led to message board drama as a result). Amazon had the famous ChillOne spoiler and Jenna's win was spoiled outright. It was the first truly spoiled season. The PI spoiler didn't have specific names names- just that "the final two is a lady in a boy scout uniform who goes out and comes back in and a woman with a man's name." While Lil was obvious, the "woman with a man's name" part resulted in half of the spoiler community thinking Darrah sounds like Daryl and the other half thinking "maybe the leaker thought Diaz was a man's name?" and that's why you got half of edgic supporting Darrah and half of edgic supporting Sandra.

One of my favorite parts of a Survivor season is checking out all the spoilers/edgic once the season wraps up and laughing at how well they did. I'll never forget the outrage of EoE where the spoiler was the Victoria defeated Lauren and Chris in the F3 with Chris receiving 0 votes. This would be a fun idea for the Amazing Race because I strongly disagree with the sentiment that there are not winner edits on that show.
Love this topic! Very interesting to see how Edgic has evolved and the producers of the show seemingly becoming more aware of it.
Suggestion for a similar video, but talking about the "journey edit" and if it's always been a thing or like when people started noticing that trend and who was getting that edit.
For a video could you do who the main character is for each season? Or is this video too similar
For Survivor 41, I never understood the support for a Tiffany win. She was never really that high for me and I straight up lost all faith in her when in her confessional after a reward challenge, she claims her tribe "kicked ass" which made me think she was completely delusional (A, they came in 2nd and B, they only came in 2nd due to Heather bombing for her tribe).
I wasn't surprised that Tiffany lost.
Same. I thought he was crazy for saying that he thought Tiffany was gonna win
My preseason winner pick for 41 was Erika but after her very quiet edit, I (and a lot of other ppl too) ruled her out of winning contention right around the merge, so then I looked at who was left at merge and Tiffany seemed to make sense to me cuz she had the balance beem thing which seemed like a special moment, the winner seemed like it could come from Yase cuz of 1) the David vs Goliath reference at the 1st Yase tribal in the premiere and 2) the baby turtle Yase thing and lastly, she seemed to be getting enough content both personal and strategic that it just made sense and she seemed like a very rootable underdog
The spoilers had her winning against Deshawn and Xander. Turns out the source lied about that out of spite. The spoiled people went to edgic and “predicted” that outcome.
@@b.k.9797i def think the spoilers inflated the amount of people banking on a tiffany win but at least with there i can kinda see it ?? (partly bc of a lack of other contenders but still)
on the other hand there's no way people got jenna or darrah without a spoiler (the latter iirc being a popular fake spoiler and the former being an extremely spoiled season, which may have impacted why production gave her such a bad edit)

As a relative edgic noob since the last few seasons, I remember watching the 43 reddit, no one thought anything of gabler until the merge, then after merge episode by episode gabler truthers slowly picked up but by the end they were still just like 1/4 of the community

Where do you get some of these alternate cast photos (the ones in Tocantins, Worlds Apart, etc)
it seems that sometimes a player is very obviously going to win and yet edgic doesnt see it
somehow that kind of reminds me of a story in the bible
i think these people were too focused on trying to do everything perfectly that they didnt see god standing right in front of them
which is kind of similar to this where they are looking for all of the edgic stuff and yet they miss who is clearly going to win
The first few episodes showcase castaways enough to know theyre important and going far. And if they cool down thats a good thing because if they dont they're getting upset. Thats what happened with Jeremy/Josh, Jenn, Debbie. They all had very cocky and arrogant edits. Keep in mind also CBS may have given Josh in SJDS a gamer edit early on to have the fans root against him because we just got done with Frankie Grande all summer long.

The only reason I personally didn't see him winning is cause of all the foreshadowing of him going to fire.

Weirdly enough, I saw the edit from Carolyn in 44 as a non-winner edit from the off. I got the read of a Noura edit there. I don't know how I knew she'd be in the final, but not win. But something gave that to me

@@rogerdodger1984 I actually also had knowledge that Heidi was going to make it rather far. I got spoiled there, thanks to my location. And after a rewatch, I got a different view of the Carolyn edit, but it was the one everyone else was seeing

I mean you just answered it yourself you're not focused too much on edgic lol how would you even know?
It was very clear through the edit that a Manu was winning and that Rick Devens would be the final boss of the season, leading many to believe Lauren would win until Chris Underwood came back from the Edge. After the scene of Chris reading his letter from home was shown I think it became pretty clear he was winning

EoE Edgic was all over the place there were a ton of front runners
great video as usual ! ngl there's a few edgic conclusions here that i flat out don't get -- ie aras being the leader by a longshot in the premerge (versus someone like terry, who i think i would've clocked as the edgic front runner up until a couple episodes into the merge when he starts to get cocky), as well as sandra being the only person who could win before she even hit the merge despite going four episodes without content (i agree there's not a ton of other options but what abt parv ?) and spencer literally never being a top contender in cagayan when he got so much consistent and complex content (and no real negativity that i can think of)
