It was at the height of going into the townships, when it wasn’t exactly safe…I remember when we did a gig in Kwa-Thema and we had to run away, ‘cause the comrades were coming and they were going to burn us (Gav chuckles). I’m not kidding…we were set up on a Boxing ring stage, and they actually said to us, ‘get the hell out of here, the comrades are coming’…“
