    Yep, the carbon dust causes slow rotation. Just clean the insides but make sure the brushes are still ok. Was not sure of this before but this video is a confirmation. Thanks.

    Also if you ever need a good quality cheap dc motor with considerable power for any DIY project, a radiator fan motor is hard to beat. They are typically rated at 12vdc at 80~90Watts, they are tough can handle overloads for long periods of time and are well made and easy to mount. I'm using them to open garage sliding doors, and it's way better than the usual roller door rubbish on the market.

    • @bjtaudio
      @bjtaudio 6 лет назад

      Most of the cheap radiator fans on ebay, are rated at 90watts run at 2250rpm and have approximately 6.5kg/cm stalled torgue, and can stay stalled for some time unlike other motors without burning out. They make a mild wissing sound, so they are not as quite as a ac induction motor, but at around $30 its so cheap, and its fine for most applications.

    Hit with a hammer the back center in each fan, carbon dust can adding friction to the motor fan.

    • @KluangmanCooleck
      @KluangmanCooleck  7 лет назад +1

      no need .. usually it's used bearings and if the motor noisy when in operation, just replace the bearing
