Thank you so much! You are the perfect mental golf coach, I believed everything you said! I want to do this pre shot routine exactly as described forever more. It will definitely help me be in my body and swing freely with energy and intent!
Thanks for putting this together. It's an often ignored element of the game and I've been guilty of that. Today I'm determined to bring it back into my game and appreciate you putting this up. Cheers and thanks from Sydney, Aust - Dave
I am currently reading Dr Bob Rotella's The Unstoppable Golfer and he states that the pre shot routine should perform a practice swing whilst observing the target at the same time. The practice swing does not need to mirror the shot you are planning to hit. No conscious swing thoughts with the target as a key focus.
No conscious swing thoughts just focus on the target .. going to make this an intentional part of my pre shot routine on the course today! Good stuff, thanks for sharing.
I wonder also which breathing techniques they practice, if any. I think slowing down the heart rate by deliberately taking deep breaths before / during the swing is also helpful to loosen up and reduce anxiety.
This is an excellent video with solid and easy-to-understand explanations. Thank you!

If you start counting right as they address the ball all of them pull the trigger in under 7 seconds.

Easier said then done for sure.
Aha... but would you keep us awake describing Patrick Cantlays PSR? 😆

You should check his putting routine. Almost identical to the second everytime
Interesting, for most of his career he took 2 looks at the target before pulling the trigger. Cool vid!
