I recently just started playing again and it’s just so fun. I’m actually so baffled as to why they stopped updated it, it has to be one of the worst decisions in gaming history I mean this game could’ve been absolutely insane
I've been playing since 2019 and I've been playing it every single day and I absolutely love it, its awesome, I'm trying to max level all my characters, heroes and finish all challenges and I am really close all my infantry are so close and my heroes are all purple cards its still so much fun to play just as long as you have a goal of what you want to do in the game
Kind of controversial opinion but this is one of the few games that hasn't been molested by the e-sports/competitive scene that tends to always kill the fun out of every game and bring out the worst of people. The people playing this game solely are playing it for fun and you don't have to jump in and maximize every variable just to play the game. It's an amazing game and you can jump in and have a blast any day. Some maps can be a bit too spammy with narrow hallways but still can be fun.
I literally bought this game yesterday and i was scared of long wait times (on xbox) but right when i looked for a match i found one in less 20 seconds i was so shook the game is still thriving it has a very loyal fanbase sure some people are toxic but most of em are nice i had a bunch of random people emote and watch how i play in a match cause im a level 1 it was so wholesome had a high level protecting me we were emoting the whole time😂
Battlefront 2 is honestly the best Star Wars game I have every played, in terms of the sheer action. I don't think I have ever felt so immersed than while playing Battlefront 2 in First Person as a heavy trooper, just running in, fighting, dying, and repeating. Endless tribute to the meat grinder, slowly eking a victory through the sacrifice of so many soldiers.
I’ve played every installment of Star Wars games, along with having played the original Battlefront 2 and still do on PC for the past 11 years of my life, yet I agree. The modern Battlefront 2 is my favorite. Even above Republic Commando and Empire At War, and I played years’ worth of those, too. I still play Empire At War today. Hell, I could get onto my PC right now and play modded classic Battlefront 2 and yet, I’ll be playing the modern Battlefront 2 on console (without mods) here in a moment. DICE’s Battlefront 2 is king of gameplay.
Just tried this game out for the first time a few weeks ago. As an OG Battlefront 2 fan, this game made me feel like a kid all over again. Its the greatest MP Star Wars game out there imo
It is 100% still worth playing. I still play it almost everyday and I love it. It’s just so immersive and from time to time I’ll discover a new detail just when I thought I’ve seen all the game has to offer.
Co op is still so fun for some reason. The meat grinder of playing with 3 other randoms you don’t know is just something nostalgic feeling. Hope this mode lives on for years to come until a new fps mp Star Wars shooter releases
I bought this game when it first dropped. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with what we were given. But, I just re downloaded battlefront 2 a month ago and I have to say it’s been some of the best gaming experiences I could ever ask for. This is the battlefront 2 we’ve been wanting since the original came out.
Really wasnt that long ago, & gaming kinda hit a fat ass lull between when this was released to present day. This game & battlefield 1 are two of the best games out there for me right now. Both incredible

The first time I played BF2 was back in 2020 on PS4 and I spent the entire summer playing it, I wasn't too deep into Star Wars I know about it and was interested for a little but not as a fan, but after trying BF2 I liked it a lot, I was there when it first came out with all controversies but after playing with all the content and updates I must say it is one of the best MP games I played and it got me into the franchise even more than what I used to be This game is so fun and felt bad when I heard they stopped making content and updates for it, this could've been the ultimate Star Wars game if they kept added more content with each show and series, but now I will say it's not far from being the ultimate Star Wars experience
I just started playing again, got my buddy to download it and a few days we played all day, if they coulda just paid more attention to it. It woulda been great, but there was a lot of stigma we didn’t realize how much work they had done since their release with all the micro transactions
I wish I could find servers for DICE's first Battlefront. It seemed less about the heroes. I played in single player and remembered there was basically a Rush mode like Battlefield. Was so good. I'm about to try out the Star Wars mod for Squad too. Hoping that's good.
I've racked up about a thousand hours, honestly loved every second of it. Sure, having mods would be dope, and if you're on pc, 100% try this game, I would recommend Kyber and their BF 2022 mod. A lot of solid gamemodes (GA being my favorite) and a good amount to grind. Grinding the mods for guns and getting star cards was a blast. Getting that level higher and closer to max is really satisfying. However, this game has a good amount of bugs/glitchs still that just ruin the game. Ton of gimmicks that people exploit and the community can be toxic. All in all, if you can get away from the toxic/glitchers, the game is a ton of fun, the best battlefront multiplayer game we have atm. A good game to play while passing the time. I would recommend playing it 90% for console, 100% for pc.
It still holds up 2 years later after the cancelation and more players are getting the game to keep the player count alive. I still find myself playing it.

I recently got a PS4 and Battlefront 2015 from a friend. I didn't plan on getting online service until I realized that all the DLC is online. Does this mean I'll have to get the Season Pass and pay for online to get the DLC?
Yes, the answer is yes. I play on console so no mods, and I have about 2000 hours, but I will die before I stop loving this frickin game Side note: the console playerbase is very active but definitely doesn’t just consist of hardcore players

I’m just a huge Star Wars fan and love to just play Star Wars games. This one for sure is one of my favorites for the immersive soldier experience in the Star Wars universe. I honestly still love it.
Modders have made the game look so much better, but Ray tracing would be next level. I know there's this Directx12 ray tracing thing in the game, but it doesn't seem to work or it's not compatible with my lighting mods.
“Is BF2 still worth playing in 2022?” Me: “short answer-YES🤩!” Seriously though, it is still fun to play but I will admit it’s still a bummer that we didn’t get some additional prequel maps and characters. Maybe someday they’ll add those characters & Maps in the future. You never know.

I’m in Europe and the servers are always busy. I can always find a game in any mode even Strike and Blast. Sure, sometimes we wait for players for a couple of minutes but this game is still popular with lots of players. It’s honestly my favourite game, I play at least 4 times a week.
I bought this game when it came out and barely played it, recently just randomly started playing it and i love it, can’t believe I took it for granted😭
6:26 Have you tried hero showdown? there’s much less spam there and the culture is most people 1v1. Admittedly the dodgy hit registration is still annoying but even as a sweat lord I still enjoy it. The chat can of course be very toxic but I’ve also had some great conversations normally about Star Wars.
I gave up looking for duels in Showdown, no one initiates or honors them anymore and it's almost always with toxic players. I'll usually run into a Bossk/Phasma combo where both of them are max level and will play toxic with spamming emotes and tbagging. It takes like 10 games of entering and leaving lobbies just to find some players who do duels.
This game has one of the best revivals In gaming history and they left it with a lame Scarif update bro like what about Ahsoka? Ventress? Cal Kestis? Inquisitiors? Coruscant? A story mode for the Prequels? More skins? Like dude I’m more pissed we never got Clone heroes like Cody and Rex!! THEY JUST NEED ONE VOICE ACTOR, RE-USE THE ARC TROOPER ANIMATIONS FOR REX, MAKE THE DESIGNS WHICH IS NOT HARD AT ALL CAUSE MODDERS HAVE DONE IT BEFORE
I think if we just had 6 more months of development, we would have gotten Ahsoka, Padme, and Ventress. It's a shame. Those seemed to be the ones in the works.

This game is pretty good. Although when you play 1v1 enough times you realize Big Flaws in the game play. Like only 2 characters have an Unblockable attack (kylo and Yoda) and even both of those can be parried. It is impossible to kill someone in a saber duel if they are dashing around correctly and blocking.
I disagree, the saber combat is decent when it works correctly and is consistent. There absolutely can be skill involved and it's all about outmaneuvering your opponent by getting behind them, parrying attacks, timing abilities etc. You don't need everyone to have an unblockable attack otherwise it wouldn't be balanced. Yoda and Kylo both needed block breakers for example because their basic damage output is lower compared to other heroes.

I will stay within 5-10 feet and you will not kill me.. because even if you get lucky every once in a while by predicting a dash, it won't be enough to kill me and you won't be able to get lucky enough times in a row to take all my health away...
@@LeeEverett1 this works with all characters but with the 3 dash characters it's even more of a joke.. dash system is OP in this game which leads to problems.. I love star wars too. But this game got the combat wrong
@@LeeEverett1 any counter you could think of to turtling has a counter counter. Like Rey's dash strike is good at getting around turtlers but all you have to due is dash then jump on an object and ummmm...
I just learnt recently that if you go to settings > EA account > ping > change your region to US and enjoy the huuuge 20vs20 matches and any mode. I was amazed how many people still play!! Change your region to get full lobbies!!
I love this game, but the servers SUCKKK! Hero vs Villain is my favorite game mode, and sometimes it literally comes down to the servers not caring about your ping
Im a duelist, so I main 1v1s in hero showdown, and I really try my hardest to go easy and even teach some new players on how to duel well, but I still get called a sweat for no reason even when i'm going VERY easy. And overall, there aren't really that many toxic players to be honest, simply ignoring them is enough to make them stop being toxic like 90% of the time. The game isn't dead, new and old players are playing, joining and returning to battlefront all the time. Queing times for GA, supremacy, hvv, showdown and co op matches are really, really quick. Other modes might take more time depending on the time of the day and your local servers. Remember, you can switch up your servers so try to play on a server where the local timezone is in a good time, like not 4 in the morning or something dumb like that, because you obviously wont find any matches. For example, when I'm playing at like 2PM PST, I usually switch to virginia servers because it's 5PM EST, (local virginia time) and I find matches. The lag isn't really that bad, and the hit reg isn't as horrible as ozzy is saying, you just have to get used to the hitboxes and animations. If you want to avoid more expirenced players (Yes, there is a respectful way to acknowledge that some players are better than others rather than saying 'they havent seen the sun in 7 years,') you should play supremacy rather than GA. HVV is usually pretty casual, I see mostly white levels rather than prestige levels in HVV lobbies to this day. Kyber servers also add infinite possibility and are usually pretty casual. the game is still really fun for both competitive and casual players and is 100% worth buying for any star wars fan. ESPECIALLY a clone wars era fan, playing clone wars supremacy is extremely immersive. Buy it, you won't regret it. Edit: 4:50 okay... im not sure if you remember but hero starfighters didn't que matches often even in 2019/2020 when the game was in it's PRIME. the fact that you couldn't find a match for a mode that has been dead since launch is completely normal. Like, it is a a 6 year old half-finished half-polished game we're talking about here so you should only expect to find matches in GA/supremacy and maybe HVV. But STILL, you can find games for strike-extraction, blast, and even ewok hunt pretty quickly if you're searching at the right time. And BTW, hero showdown also ques games so that's 5 modes that are completely alive. And by completely alive I mean you find games faster than you find matches for VALORANT, which is supposed to be one of the most popular competitive PC game right now?? Compared to a "dead game."
I highly disagree with the claim of hardly any toxic players, HvV and Showdown are filled with the most toxic players imaginable who spam emotes, taunt you after a kill for no reason, tbagging, interfering in duels and ganging up on you etc. Showdown is an absolute waste of time trying to get duels because most of the playerbase doesn't honor them, even the higher levels who know better don't. HvV is a sweaty toxic fest 90% of the time with the worst matchmaking I've ever seen. I have to enter and leave like 5 lobbies in a row just to find one that's somewhat balanced because my team will consist of low levels like a 2, 15, and a 20; while the opposite team gets 2 maxes, a 500, and a 200. I have 1000 hours into this game with most of it being towards the HvV modes and that's been my experience.
@@LeeEverett1 Dont know what platform or servers you're on but today I played for hours and I didnt have a single 2v2 or 2v1 lobby, all 1v1 lobbies. And there was only one toxic kid and I shut him up by obliterating him so he wasnt a problem.
I’d honestly love it if there were someway us console players could play Battlefront with those mods. The mods I’ve seen look absolutely incredible yet I’m too poor to get a PC so I just watch all the cool kids play them instead😂

I'd say that it's still worth playing in 2022 if you can find a match, but that's a big if. It's almost impossible to find a match for modes like Starfighter Assault or Strike, at least on the server I play on. 9 times out of 10 I find a match it'll be one of Co-op. I wouldn't call it dead, but it's not a stretch to say it's dying a slow, painful death.

Hey ozzy, some of us are just good at the game 😂 I have a full time job, don't always play bf2 and have logged more hours on call of duty by far yet am ass at that compared to bf2... for whatever reason I'm super good at this game while still seeing sunlight and living life every day 😂
I got on blast like last weekend and there was 4 players in the entire lobby I was so disappointed, the more popular modes have a lot of players and the smaller game modes in bf2 suck cause no one plays them but bf1 smaller game modes were amazing like hero’s vs villains in the outer rim
It was such a poor decision to cancelling BF3, EA could have made so much more money. Both the last games were financial successes despite controversy and just think how profitable a battle pass and cosmetic micro transaction model could be for them.
Now with the atrocious launch of bf2 any micro transactions in battlefront will rub people the wrong way, yet I do agree the game needs micro transitions to keep up with the demand for content in this game. They could get away with battle passes if they don’t redo bf1 and divide the fanbase with that barrier, they need to look at a game like apex with cosmetics / battle passes being a weekly and monthly thing but knowing Lucas films copyright policy, that’s the exact reason why we didn’t get skins in bf2 at that pace because of the horrible communication on copyright.

I've been playing the mod conversion of Galactic Contingency for the game Squad and I'm really having a blast with it. Really worth a go if no one has tried it before.
The only game modes worth playing now imo are HvV and galactic assault. I play Xbox so can’t even use mods. Still a good game, just a shame they maden the decisions they made. They ruined extraction, it was way better in the first game.
I love this game, so much fun, i hope more people join, more players the better. And remember every firday special troops cost 1 tenth what they normally do in battle points so its a good time to play

After years I bought the game recently on steam because it was discounted. I never played but talked major crap on it and was riding the hate train since 2017. But now that I've played it and online I have no complaints and honestly it's nice to have a action packed star wars game that looks great and the sound of the blasters make my toes curl 👌
I play a little of Starfighter Assault every day and it definitely still has it's players but only enough to fill a single server it seems. Every time I jump in it's the same maps and the same people and the servers almost never fill up. It's really sad the mode doesn't get more attention, it's the best the game has to offer imo.
I play on xbox, so i don't have the problem of finding a match, but I have to wait a few minutes A sugestion, you will find the matches so much early if you play between 15:30 to 19:00 Sorry about english problems I am from Brazil, but the hours i put there are for EUA
On my wife’s phone but I was playing last night with my headset off and my wife commented how the music matching the movies music was really cool, I have to admit the sounds capture you and emerge you into the game unlike anything else. I used to play a lot was pretty decent came back I’m a rag doll but idm hopefully it makes me better.
Modded, yes. Base game, maybe. Console, no. I’m a console guy and didn’t have access to offline mods that would keep me interesting in the game until i got a pc. Honestly it would be nice to have a galactic conquest mode like in bf2 to make the game playable even after the multiplayer was abandoned the mainstream.

Totally worth it. Lobbies fill quickly, not that many toxic people. (Not like COD) and I always find myself having fun even when I’m losing badly to AI 😂 P.S. I’m in console and graphics still hold its own

i picked it up for PC in 2020 after having it on PS4 since launch. It was nice cause it was free at the time and i still play and love the game. It does suck that the game freezes or shuts off the PC sometimes but its worth it tbh. Just love starwars in general

The fact that i can't play the regular maps in offline is what killed it for me, i just a wanted to chill doing the objectives and all that, but the actual cool stuff is just multiplayer, so yeah.

I've been playing through the rest of my library, but I do have fun jumping back in occasionally. I'm a decent player, so sometimes I destroy people, other times I get destroyed. Still good fun!
BF 2015 over in the UK on PS is very hard to find a game, I would like to see your thoughts on it as well. BF2 has been my favourite Star Wars for many years.
i wish there were more videos covering offline and local modes, like arcade here, for le poor people who could afford the game but not the subscription. but alas, EA loves to make offline play as bland as possible. still, fantastic video, love your voice and thr way you speak and dissect things, 100% earned sub
eh the offline is okay. you can do custom arcade modes that are fun, but its not exactly the same as the online coop because the ai will snag hero slots. Never played the campaign but ive heard its fun. the game definitely shines in the online play
I don't think you understood me: I'm giving you an answer about what offline play is like. The "arcade" mode similar to the online co-op mode, but has some drawbacks. and that the game is definitely better online vs. as an offline game. No need to be rude

Hvv and Showdown are SO addicting. Especially since I've been playing since launch ima GOD to most people i come across it feels SO GOOD 😄. Sheesh, my team is so good though that we can't play together cuz we dominate hvv too much. We can't get through a whole game half the time, erry1 quits

Consider me your ps4 exclusive reporter, here to say that I hop on every week or 2 to play some games and no matter which mode I choose, on Playstation at least, it's still very much alive with full lobbies and hardly ever having to wait to find a good match. Keep in mind this is just the vanilla game, no mods for us ps4 users but the game is still going pretty strong 💪
I mainly play supremacy and HvV. No game out right now gives me a sense of pure unfiltered fun like bf2 does. I can just hop and play some games and I'm sure to have a great time.
There’s just no game that can immerse me as a foot soldier in Star Wars like battlefront can. Rip to the franchise still hoping for battlefront 3

Not really movie battles 2 is better if you can ignore the skill ceiling and the occasional griefing/cheating. (and dated graphics)

Battlefront 2 is one of the best third person shooters and if you are a Star Wars fan, it is a must have-play.
You can even play in first person in case I didn’t know. Third person for me makes it easier, but first person makes you feel like your actually there

The first time I played BF2 was back in 2020 on PS4 and I spent the entire summer playing it, I wasn't too deep into Star Wars I know about it and was interested for a little but not as a fan, but after trying BF2 I liked it a lot, I was there when it first came out with all controversies but after playing with all the content and updates I must say it is one of the best MP games I played and it got me into the franchise even more than what I used to be
This game is so fun and felt bad when I heard they stopped making content and updates for it, this could've been the ultimate Star Wars game if they kept added more content with each show and series, but now I will say it's not far from being the ultimate Star Wars experience

I just started playing again, got my buddy to download it and a few days we played all day, if they coulda just paid more attention to it. It woulda been great, but there was a lot of stigma we didn’t realize how much work they had done since their release with all the micro transactions
I wish I could find servers for DICE's first Battlefront. It seemed less about the heroes. I played in single player and remembered there was basically a Rush mode like Battlefield. Was so good. I'm about to try out the Star Wars mod for Squad too. Hoping that's good.
I've racked up about a thousand hours, honestly loved every second of it. Sure, having mods would be dope, and if you're on pc, 100% try this game, I would recommend Kyber and their BF 2022 mod. A lot of solid gamemodes (GA being my favorite) and a good amount to grind. Grinding the mods for guns and getting star cards was a blast. Getting that level higher and closer to max is really satisfying. However, this game has a good amount of bugs/glitchs still that just ruin the game. Ton of gimmicks that people exploit and the community can be toxic. All in all, if you can get away from the toxic/glitchers, the game is a ton of fun, the best battlefront multiplayer game we have atm. A good game to play while passing the time. I would recommend playing it 90% for console, 100% for pc.

I recently got a PS4 and Battlefront 2015 from a friend. I didn't plan on getting online service until I realized that all the DLC is online. Does this mean I'll have to get the Season Pass and pay for online to get the DLC?
Yes, the answer is yes. I play on console so no mods, and I have about 2000 hours, but I will die before I stop loving this frickin game

I’m in Europe and the servers are always busy. I can always find a game in any mode even Strike and Blast. Sure, sometimes we wait for players for a couple of minutes but this game is still popular with lots of players. It’s honestly my favourite game, I play at least 4 times a week.
I bought this game when it came out and barely played it, recently just randomly started playing it and i love it, can’t believe I took it for granted😭
You didn't at all, the game was trash and in a horrible state for like 2 years where most players were ready to give up.

6:26 Have you tried hero showdown? there’s much less spam there and the culture is most people 1v1. Admittedly the dodgy hit registration is still annoying but even as a sweat lord I still enjoy it. The chat can of course be very toxic but I’ve also had some great conversations normally about Star Wars.

I gave up looking for duels in Showdown, no one initiates or honors them anymore and it's almost always with toxic players. I'll usually run into a Bossk/Phasma combo where both of them are max level and will play toxic with spamming emotes and tbagging.
It takes like 10 games of entering and leaving lobbies just to find some players who do duels.
This game has one of the best revivals In gaming history and they left it with a lame Scarif update bro like what about Ahsoka? Ventress? Cal Kestis? Inquisitiors? Coruscant? A story mode for the Prequels? More skins? Like dude I’m more pissed we never got Clone heroes like Cody and Rex!! THEY JUST NEED ONE VOICE ACTOR, RE-USE THE ARC TROOPER ANIMATIONS FOR REX, MAKE THE DESIGNS WHICH IS NOT HARD AT ALL CAUSE MODDERS HAVE DONE IT BEFORE

I still love playing this game and it's my go to game to stream. Yes, it has its problems but not enough for me to ever stop playing.
This game is pretty good. Although when you play 1v1 enough times you realize Big Flaws in the game play. Like only 2 characters have an Unblockable attack (kylo and Yoda) and even both of those can be parried. It is impossible to kill someone in a saber duel if they are dashing around correctly and blocking.
I disagree, the saber combat is decent when it works correctly and is consistent. There absolutely can be skill involved and it's all about outmaneuvering your opponent by getting behind them, parrying attacks, timing abilities etc.
You don't need everyone to have an unblockable attack otherwise it wouldn't be balanced. Yoda and Kylo both needed block breakers for example because their basic damage output is lower compared to other heroes.

@@LeeEverett1 any counter you could think of to turtling has a counter counter. Like Rey's dash strike is good at getting around turtlers but all you have to due is dash then jump on an object and ummmm...
I just learnt recently that if you go to settings > EA account > ping > change your region to US and enjoy the huuuge 20vs20 matches and any mode. I was amazed how many people still play!! Change your region to get full lobbies!!
haha yep, the lobbies died on xbox a couple years back but now on xbox and PC there are active communities.
I love this game, but the servers SUCKKK! Hero vs Villain is my favorite game mode, and sometimes it literally comes down to the servers not caring about your ping
I play it 2-3 times a week. It’s excellent. Blast and HVV and Strike and Starfighter are always easy to find games in the USA within 5 minutes my
Im a duelist, so I main 1v1s in hero showdown, and I really try my hardest to go easy and even teach some new players on how to duel well, but I still get called a sweat for no reason even when i'm going VERY easy. And overall, there aren't really that many toxic players to be honest, simply ignoring them is enough to make them stop being toxic like 90% of the time. The game isn't dead, new and old players are playing, joining and returning to battlefront all the time. Queing times for GA, supremacy, hvv, showdown and co op matches are really, really quick. Other modes might take more time depending on the time of the day and your local servers. Remember, you can switch up your servers so try to play on a server where the local timezone is in a good time, like not 4 in the morning or something dumb like that, because you obviously wont find any matches. For example, when I'm playing at like 2PM PST, I usually switch to virginia servers because it's 5PM EST, (local virginia time) and I find matches. The lag isn't really that bad, and the hit reg isn't as horrible as ozzy is saying, you just have to get used to the hitboxes and animations. If you want to avoid more expirenced players (Yes, there is a respectful way to acknowledge that some players are better than others rather than saying 'they havent seen the sun in 7 years,') you should play supremacy rather than GA. HVV is usually pretty casual, I see mostly white levels rather than prestige levels in HVV lobbies to this day. Kyber servers also add infinite possibility and are usually pretty casual.
the game is still really fun for both competitive and casual players and is 100% worth buying for any star wars fan. ESPECIALLY a clone wars era fan, playing clone wars supremacy is extremely immersive. Buy it, you won't regret it.
Edit: 4:50 okay... im not sure if you remember but hero starfighters didn't que matches often even in 2019/2020 when the game was in it's PRIME. the fact that you couldn't find a match for a mode that has been dead since launch is completely normal. Like, it is a a 6 year old half-finished half-polished game we're talking about here so you should only expect to find matches in GA/supremacy and maybe HVV. But STILL, you can find games for strike-extraction, blast, and even ewok hunt pretty quickly if you're searching at the right time. And BTW, hero showdown also ques games so that's 5 modes that are completely alive. And by completely alive I mean you find games faster than you find matches for VALORANT, which is supposed to be one of the most popular competitive PC game right now?? Compared to a "dead game."
I highly disagree with the claim of hardly any toxic players, HvV and Showdown are filled with the most toxic players imaginable who spam emotes, taunt you after a kill for no reason, tbagging, interfering in duels and ganging up on you etc.
Showdown is an absolute waste of time trying to get duels because most of the playerbase doesn't honor them, even the higher levels who know better don't.
HvV is a sweaty toxic fest 90% of the time with the worst matchmaking I've ever seen. I have to enter and leave like 5 lobbies in a row just to find one that's somewhat balanced because my team will consist of low levels like a 2, 15, and a 20; while the opposite team gets 2 maxes, a 500, and a 200. I have 1000 hours into this game with most of it being towards the HvV modes and that's been my experience.
@@LeeEverett1 Dont know what platform or servers you're on but today I played for hours and I didnt have a single 2v2 or 2v1 lobby, all 1v1 lobbies. And there was only one toxic kid and I shut him up by obliterating him so he wasnt a problem.
I’d honestly love it if there were someway us console players could play Battlefront with those mods. The mods I’ve seen look absolutely incredible yet I’m too poor to get a PC so I just watch all the cool kids play them instead😂

I'd say that it's still worth playing in 2022 if you can find a match, but that's a big if. It's almost impossible to find a match for modes like Starfighter Assault or Strike, at least on the server I play on. 9 times out of 10 I find a match it'll be one of Co-op. I wouldn't call it dead, but it's not a stretch to say it's dying a slow, painful death.

I got on blast like last weekend and there was 4 players in the entire lobby I was so disappointed, the more popular modes have a lot of players and the smaller game modes in bf2 suck cause no one plays them but bf1 smaller game modes were amazing like hero’s vs villains in the outer rim
It was such a poor decision to cancelling BF3, EA could have made so much more money. Both the last games were financial successes despite controversy and just think how profitable a battle pass and cosmetic micro transaction model could be for them.
Now with the atrocious launch of bf2 any micro transactions in battlefront will rub people the wrong way, yet I do agree the game needs micro transitions to keep up with the demand for content in this game. They could get away with battle passes if they don’t redo bf1 and divide the fanbase with that barrier, they need to look at a game like apex with cosmetics / battle passes being a weekly and monthly thing but knowing Lucas films copyright policy, that’s the exact reason why we didn’t get skins in bf2 at that pace because of the horrible communication on copyright.

I've been playing the mod conversion of Galactic Contingency for the game Squad and I'm really having a blast with it. Really worth a go if no one has tried it before.
The only game modes worth playing now imo are HvV and galactic assault.

I play a little of Starfighter Assault every day and it definitely still has it's players but only enough to fill a single server it seems. Every time I jump in it's the same maps and the same people and the servers almost never fill up. It's really sad the mode doesn't get more attention, it's the best the game has to offer imo.
I play on xbox, so i don't have the problem of finding a match, but I have to wait a few minutes

On my wife’s phone but I was playing last night with my headset off and my wife commented how the music matching the movies music was really cool, I have to admit the sounds capture you and emerge you into the game unlike anything else. I used to play a lot was pretty decent came back I’m a rag doll but idm hopefully it makes me better.

I’m a console guy and didn’t have access to offline mods that would keep me interesting in the game until i got a pc. Honestly it would be nice to have a galactic conquest mode like in bf2 to make the game playable even after the multiplayer was abandoned the mainstream.

Totally worth it. Lobbies fill quickly, not that many toxic people. (Not like COD) and I always find myself having fun even when I’m losing badly to AI 😂

i picked it up for PC in 2020 after having it on PS4 since launch. It was nice cause it was free at the time and i still play and love the game. It does suck that the game freezes or shuts off the PC sometimes but its worth it tbh. Just love starwars in general

I've been playing through the rest of my library, but I do have fun jumping back in occasionally. I'm a decent player, so sometimes I destroy people, other times I get destroyed. Still good fun!

eh the offline is okay. you can do custom arcade modes that are fun, but its not exactly the same as the online coop because the ai will snag hero slots. Never played the campaign but ive heard its fun. the game definitely shines in the online play

I don't think you understood me: I'm giving you an answer about what offline play is like. The "arcade" mode similar to the online co-op mode, but has some drawbacks. and that the game is definitely better online vs. as an offline game. No need to be rude

Consider me your ps4 exclusive reporter, here to say that I hop on every week or 2 to play some games and no matter which mode I choose, on Playstation at least, it's still very much alive with full lobbies and hardly ever having to wait to find a good match. Keep in mind this is just the vanilla game, no mods for us ps4 users but the game is still going pretty strong 💪
