The Wing of astel curved sword carried me the entire game. Its heavy attacks fire projectiles and has its own combos. Not to mention the Nebula ability does a ton of damage in general, but if you can line the skill up right(Its a horizontal line of explosions that can all deal damage to enemies, enemies can be hit multiple times) you can melt bigger sized bosses. The Skill also has a delay before exploding, so if you are catching something unaware, you can use the skill and get a charged r2 off just after the explosions finish staggering enemies.

With Deaths Poker it's worth noting that the listed weapon scaling only applies to the swords melee damage. The damage of the Ghostflame ignition actually is more affected by INT. You can have a higher AR on the sword by pumping DEX but the weapon art will do significantly less damage if you leave INT at base req.
I tested the damage when I put one lvl into int and it increased the damage of the full skill with the heavy attack followup attack by 1 damage. Tbf it also wasn't anywhere near fully upgraded at that point but it still doesn't seem to be worth it going for int using it. Dex seems way better for it.
Ideally you would level both. IMO it's worth it to put points in INT because the weapon art does some really crazy damage. 35 INT/DEX at +9 and I've hit some bosses for over 4k with the R1 combo
@@CharlieBrown-mx4gq After looking it up I have to admit you're right. Despite that I still wouldn't use it on an int build because it gets so much less ar with int. You'd be able to use the ash of war effectively but basic attacks would be pretty bad.
A good list; little greatsword/colossal sword heavy though. I'mma list some of the ones I enjoy: Carian Knight Sword/Lazuli Glintstone Sword: Fun moveset that has a block built into its heavy attack; with pretty decent ashes of war built in (the latter has that abusable one for PvP; glintsone pebble). Really fun for the spellword build. Glintstone Kris: Underrated dagger. Pair this with a dagger for crits or status; and toss out glintstone pebbles, and you got a recipe for an interesting Arcane Trickster build. St. Trinia's Sword: Scales pretty well with INT, and sleep is a good option for 90% of the game. Rosus' Axe: Spooky scary skeleton axe; with arguably a much better version of the similar spell built in as an ash of war. Great for Necromancers. Bastard's Stars: Similar to the wing; just not as ugly looking, and its a flail. . . so its more unique. the ash of war is also a ton of fun to use. Death Ritual Spear: Very solid option; and an amazing ash of war for CC. Another solid Necromancer option. Loretta's War Sickle: Surrpsised this one didn't make the list; its got a fantastic moveset, and a solid ash of war that works well in PvP AND PvE. Scepter of the All-Knowing: Just a solid blunt weapon for mages; with and ash of war that supports actual magic use. Clayman's Harpoon: One of the few ones with magic by default; that can also be given whatever ash of war you want. Very useful; and easily farmed off the slow enemies lol I am hoping we eventually get catalyst weapons back; something similar to the Blue Flame from DkS2 would be amazing.
@@Christopher-eq1rn So the Carian Knight Sword and the Lazuli Glintstone Sword have a Longsword moveset; but they share a "blocking" heavy attack. Your character holds the blade in front as you charge, and it actually will block just before you attack with it. It does take your actual reductions for damage and blocking power into account though; so don't rely on it for blocking long combos or big attacks, but it can be used to trade against some smaller enemies.
For the colossal weapons, this video completely slept on Fallingstar Beast Jaw. A phenomenal weapon to round out your damage types (has pierce/strike), super spammable weapon art, C/C/D scaling for str/dex/int at +10, and staggers like a dream.
Meteoric Ore Blade is so under appreciated. Only Katana that scales with strength, amazing aoe, stops flying enemies, and lets not forget they gave us the Ichimonji from Sekiro. The charged R2 on that thing can take bosses out in 2 hits.
If any of you were looking for a really strong strength frost weapon the executioner‘s great axe can be turned into a frost weapon. If you pair that with its small crit buff and you’re good at parrying then it will destroy and one shot people very easily.
My Wing of Astel Mage build is probably the most versatile magic build in the game and it's super fun because you have so many viable options for different situations or if you just get bored. You can powerstance curved swords, use the weapon art, spam heavy attacks, dual wield staves to boost Adula's Moonblade, cast nukes at range, and you can do a cool heavy attack cancel backflip.
one of my favourite thingsg to do is to use NEbula from wings of astle, switch to miscordia with bloodhound step and then show up where no one expects it, brutality effective!
one think that i love about nebula is that its very hard to see what you are doing behind the animation for it, you could be charging up moonblade, buffing, drinking a potion or preparing a long range spell, or throwing a dagger.
@@hossamsalem8878 you really think it shines in pvp? I rarely see people using it and when I come up against a guy using it they never hit me with it. No range and so slow. I think its way better for pve, bosses.
The Dark Moon greatsword's projectile + sword is also a TON of poise damage. Literally smacked Malenia out of the air several times during her fight and carried me through it.
I decided over 50+ hours in to respec to a Magic build. I've beat a few other Souls games with a heavy strength focus and seeing people play Mage made me curious. So I did the whole Ranni storyline for the Darkmoon Greatsword so I could still do sword moves. It's so good and so much more fun then my previous blade
A weapon I've come to adore as a STR/INT build is, funnily enough, the Giant-Crusher. When you add a magic-based Ash of War like "Waves of Destruction", the damage scaling matches that of the Royal Greatsword and it gives the weapon a massively-damaging and multi-hit AoE attack with obscene poise. You really have to like the BIGGEST of Bonks' moveset, but I've been steamrolling through NG+ and through PvP with it. Some tactics (Rivers of Blood spam and Fingerprint Shield are the worst) do counter the weapon, but the Ash of War can not only be used for high damage if you catch someone being aggressive, but is also a great spacing tool for those who know what it does, giving you a moment to gather yourself and reset the fight. Not to mention the fact you can have a faster, more adaptable weapon in your second slot for when BIG BONK just won't cut it.
Not sure if I agree on death's poker being here, when I think "best intelligence build weapons" I think of a build where int is your highest stat and you'd want a weapon that scales well with int, not just meet the bare minimum to wield your weapon and then go for softcap dex.
The black flame from death poker is scaling with int , dex only increase melee damage. you can test it on that old dragon in Caelid. I tested it multiple times , my int 68 character melt bosses like butter with death poker. Firespark81 test it: ruclips.net/video/3LbScQagYgU/видео.html
i'd just like to say that I used to watch the minecraft build challenges from 9yrs ago, and haven't gotten any recommendations from this channel in forever until recently, so glad to be back on rage gaming!
You can cheese the bosses of moonveil and death's poker if you have the stone sling sorcery. For moonveil, do not enter the fog wall but stick your face to and then cast stone sling. For poker, from bestial sanctum, go to the church above gowry's shack. Continue from that point thru the bats, if you see a giant, go left a bit to the ledge and look down. The bird will be below.
I beat Malenia with the Death Poke stick. Such an amazing weapon. Plus it looks like a staff on my mage warrior which is a plus cause the staffs are very underwhelming especially cause they dont have any flashy skills. The poker and the Claymans Spear!
Moonvail carried me till Death poker. Used that for days till I found the wing sword. Used that for days till I found the dark moon. Now I power stance death poker and dark moon. If you are a int character you have to go for these wepons. Each one will carry you till the next step in the witchs quest. Dark moon is so nice.
While everything here has unique AoWs, there is the Clayman's Harpoon that is a normal, Ash of War-changeable, native Int-scaling weapon (and apparently the only one). On a Magic prefix, it is E/E/B for Str/Dex/Int scaling. It qualifies for the Glintstone Pebble Ash of War, which another video covered is doing WAY more damage that it has any right to be, and the follow-up R2 has great reach. If you want status, it can go Frost, for C/E/C scaling, and a 105 Frost Buildup. Poison is C/D/C/D scaling (Str/Dex/Int/Arc) and 95 Poison Buildup. And it can go Bleed with a C/D/C/D scaling (Str/Dex/Int/Arc) and 82 Bleed Buildup. It's a drop you can farm EARLY, cause the enemy that drops it is the first one you run into in underground from the Mistwood elevator down.
Absolutely! I'm doing a frost build and I'm using a frost clayman's harpoon with ice spear. Ice spear does incredible damage when it hits and can also proc frost. Once I get the frostbite proc, I switch to my main weapon for big damage. It gives a decent close range option, and works very well in tandem with frost spells.
sword of St Trina doesn't scale all that great with intelligence but the sleep status is amazing on certain enemies, even some bosses. chain sleeping/criting a strong enemy to death without giving it a chance to do anything is pretty damn fun. it's also super easy to get, no fighting needed, just an imp key and has extremly low stat requirements, you can get it as a sorc user without having to boost your strength stat.
Darkmoon Greatsword is my favorite weapon. I just wish aiming the projectile was more reliable. If you are on any sort of incline the projectile just has a mind of its own.
@@juniorelizondo4144 Ya it’s really frustrating when you take damage or die because the projectile either flies over the enemies head, or buries itself into the ground.
@@juniorelizondo4144 Ya. It would be so satisfying to play with if he projectile would go where it’s supposed to. I feel like Happy Gilmore yelling at the golf ball, “Go to your home ball!” 😆 Unfortunately reporting bugs seems to be a needlessly complicated process for this game. Just hope the devs use the weapon and recognize the issue.
@@brandonprice6448 dude there's so many fucking bugs it's pointless. Lmao let's just hope one of the devs close friends calls them about it or something. Lmao
In PvE, your main int DPS offensive tool is going to be Night Comet with Regal mainhand and Loss offhand. So, when using a weapon your really just looking for something to compliment the build in other situations such as trash. The best weapon is arguably Wings as it provides an AOE move and a good moveset with the charged R2s but requires 17 Dex. The best weapons with the least investment are DM GS requiring 11 Str & 11 Dex or 16 Str if you wanna use two and Clayman's if your ok with using Scholar's Armament. Clayman is 531AR with 80int and base Str/Dex and an additional 280 for 811 as a spear. An additional benefit of Clayman's is having Bloodhound Step instead of another dagger.
@@Avestani96 Enemies don't dodge Night sorceries so they will always do more damage then Glintstone. Also, combined with Loss in the offhand it increases the damage by 30% making it FP efficient and the highest DPS spell outside of cheese situations with Comet Azur.
Fun fact about the Death's Poker: It shares the heavy attack set with Sword of Milos (pre-buff), so even as far as standard attacks go, you're going to be able to throw people off quite a bit.
FOR ANYONE who doesnt know, you can buff the darkmoon great sword even further with tera magicus and the wonderous physik, bringing the AR to above 1000 and basically one shotting people in pvp.
I still prefer the night and flame for my int/faith spellsword in endgame first playthrough. Its fast and powerful and can one shot a lot of the trash quickly without dumping to much into other stats to wield a slower heavy weapon and I didn't care for nova due to its timing and thin area of attack. The mini comet azur knocks so many stronger enemies on their butts if they survive the first shot with say a shield or high health pools so you got opertunity to hit again before they can get up. I have been looking for something more flashy endgame looking but nothing seems to pack the punch without dumping points into strength to pick it up. Maybe after ng+ and have a ton of extra levels to throw around.
LMAAAAAAO thank you for this video.... i did not know...weapons had an R2 attack/skill. I am at farum azula...ive never used an R2. Also wing of astel is the best 👌
I d just like to add meteoric ore blade, Wich IMO is the best starting weapon for any int build since you can just run and grab and then use it to get all the other weapons mentioned in this video
If you are doing a build based on the Prisoner all you need is the Starscourge Heirloom, and you can use the Dark Moon Greatsword and the Meteoric Blade (which I like the design more than the Moonveil Katana), and you can save those levels for other places.
My Top 5 (in no particular order) are Death's Poker, Fallingstar Beast Jaw, Meteroic Ore Blade (or any weapon that can be equipped with that Gravitas Ash of War), Moonveil, and Starscourge Greatsword. These are the ones I have the most fun switching between on my NG+ character. Royal Greatsword almost makes the cut, but Death's Poker is just so much better at Frosting up Bosses.
Deaths Poker, or as I call it, The Death Stick, is simply my favourite weapon in the game. You can frost burn nearly any boss, and it has carried me. I got it to +10 before anything else, even though I use other weapons now, just to honor how bad ass it is.
When I saw the ruins greatsword I was very happy. Thanks to that weapon I defeated Malenia by jumping and R2 her like a goomba, using the weapon art to throw her down and combinating it with a charged R2 to deal massive damage. The best strength weapon in all the game no doubt.
I just switched to an int/str build now that i'm over 200. Yeah I feel so OP with it lol. Sometimes I don't even bother using spells I just smash things.
Thanks for making these man. These videos helped me a lot when the game first came out. I have been off work since the day ER came out lol. I've been so deep.
I really like carian slicer for 4 FP and also having sword of milos. You get 5 FP back per kill, so on 1- hit kill mobs, you have "infinite" FP. I think that's the "real" magic sword. Carian + Abdula's the rest of spells for range. Also rock sling is the best range, so much fun against big birds in caelid
Well technically Loretta's Mastery is the longest ranged spell but I get what you mean, longest range with fp efficiency most definitely. If you hold the Meteor staff in your other hand while casting it buffs rock sling as well even if you aren't using Meteor staff to cast the spell.
@@thekaz5225 didn't get the mastery spell yet, but what i like about rock sling is, that when it reaches it's range, stones keep falling for a bit if you're a bit higher than the area you wanna hit. For example, that bird rune exploit near blood lord, i don't need arrows cuz i spam 2 or 3 rock slings and the bird goes to check the ground where the first rocks fall and make noise...and oh, poise damage, oh poise damage. Literally saved me so many times. And you're right about offhand, lately my setup is : R. Hand: sword of milos, dagger with bloodhound step, staff of loss, L. Hand: carian regal staff So i can also change in beginning for fight to staff of loss, and spam better night comet still with carian staff, so casting always on left hand and sword/ash of war/buff spells on right hand. 😊👍
Sword of Milos is pretty heavy just to offhand. With an intelligence focus, I carry an unuograded Carian Glintstone staff in my offhand to maximize the damage of these 2 great sorceries and the meteorite staff for Rock Sling and Meterorite of Astel and Wing of Astel for fun (and switching confusion lol).
@@Galaka100 yeah, honestly alot of combinations are viable, so i start to play bit differently every 2 or 3 days. Now i started to up my faith too, so left hand staff, right hand seal 😜 full heretical sorcerer incoming, frost and lightning with bloodloss - swarm of flies 😁 i used sword of milos until i got primal glintstone blade talisman to reduce fp cost while carian slicer is great still i really like incantation three rings of light. Just waw, and with abdula's moonblade i really don't need to hit anything with a weapon anymore. Even in dungeons, 5 hp-9fp flasks and that's that. Im enjoying this game so much😍 love the veteran's armor too, very similair coat with snow witch, so goes great with snow witch hat
Death poker is good and all but it's very slow to execute the whole Ash of war. Dealing with mid to end game bosses who are on aderal, you need quick casts and that's where moonveil excels and is unparalleled. Kitana in general
You can also get to Ainsel River Main without doing the Ranni quest, by way of Deeproot Depths where there is a coffin/elevator at the edge of the waterfall near the Nameless Eternal City grace
Random fun fact about darkmoon figured this out 40+ hours after getting it. The light beam heavy has 2 settings. If you hold it it charges longer and does more damage but takes longer, whereas if you just touch heavy attack instead of holding it'll come out much faster and does good damage still but not quite as much. Just throwing it out for those who don't know like I didn't
ER is the best video game ever!!! It has so much that sometimes you just pass time checking your weapons and try to chose which one is the best and which you want to take with you to keep exploring the game!!! Sorcery and physical never was so good enable on a video game before!!! God of War is amazing on it too, but the practically unlimited builds you do on ER is just ridiculous!!! I’m in love with Elder Ring!!!💪🏾
This is what I need, honestly got bored of spamming L2 with RoB full Dex build, feels like I'm missing out all the other cool spells and weapons. Might respec now before the Fire Giant or swtich to Int in NG+
I have a Strength/Faith build, and had acquired the Death's Poker by cheesing the Death Bird from above with arrows. Will definitely be upgrading it now, probably gonna use it powerstanced with the Blasphemous Blade for the juicy dual long-range Ash of Wars. ☺️
The chest only holds one wing of Astel, which i have. Is there a way to get a 2nd one somewhere else in one play through? Or do i have to wait til ng+ to get the second one from the same chest?
Royal sword is my favorite here. It is my favorite weapon just because of how much damage it has thanks to good scaling. Also the ash of war is one of the strongest one for the cost. It deals as much damage as Star Scourge but only cost half FP (because Star Scrouge needs to cast the second times for its real damage). It is also good to zone people out or Hyper armor trade after you read their movement. If the opponent isn't willing to rolling out of the blast zone after getting hit by the plunge, they are going to die for sure I am super disappointed to the Moonlight GS however. It cost so much FP and the R2 takes millions years use even if you don't buff it. The damage buff isn't that much either.
I think the 'Helphen's Steeple' Greatsword is worth a mention. It requires 19 strength, 10 dexterity, 22 intelligence. The weapon skill allows you to buff the weapon with more magic damage, as well as a high frost buildup (I believe it's at 80). It lasts 30 seconds. At +10 it has B scaling in intelligence and C scaling in strength. So this pairs nicely with the Dark Moon Greatsword if you can wield two greatswords at once.
The royal greatsword has been my favorite, does a lot of damage to anything, and pvp people usually don't expect the explosion after the jump. If you hit them with the jump and the explosion, most of the time it's a one hit kill
That poker is a good choice for people who may not be going down the int route, but still want a little magic. Your not locked into that build, so you could mix and match with a lot of other weapons.
You didnt do Darkmoon Greatsword's R2 enough justice my guy. Since its R2 is stamina based, it will still count as a heavy attack on enemies. A ranged heavy attack... 3-4 of those on bosses and their stance is easily broken.
@@mgarratt101 Cmon, I call you a sheep in a nice way and then you just respond with: "ok sheep" and a grammar remark. Really shows your level of intellect, my guy
Dual frost Nagakiba with bloodhound step is pretty amazing. Then Ash off war your offhand with anything you like, I have way cry as a buff. Nagakiba preserves it's Dex at a B when infused with either cold or bleed.
The bastards stars is kinda underrated.I used it as a secondary weapon and even in pvp it surprised me.The skill even though slow with some spacing and baiting it hits very hard!
I've been using a arcane faith build, and am torn because I can't not win in PvP. Use the frenzied burst incant, and it stuns everyone no matter what, while their stunned, launch another and they're dead, it's really broken imo, but it's so easy to just trash anyone. Use the concealing veil talisman, so they cant see you, once they're distracted running away it's just boom boom. I've got 60 rune arcs from just the past few days. Use the seal that's for dragon incants, scales S with arcane once upgraded to lvl 7. If they dodge it and come in close, use the flame of frenzy, don't lock on, launch it in front of you, and they're 1 shot also. I've been doing 1v3 PvP matches, and with bloodhound step, you're untouchable. I want to start using a intelligence build again, but the build I have now is just dumb. Use the physic tear that increases flame damage, and the one that raises poise. Use the scorpion fire talsiman, and flame grant me strength and your 1 shotting basically everything. I beat Radahn my first try, the dual gargoyles my first try, and every boss since then, it's just so OP guys. I got tired of getting ganged up on 1v3 so I had to turn the tables. There's so many weapons in this game, im just lost what to upgrade next. I want to switch back to a dex/int build, but keep just wanting to use this build. Try it out, and youll see what I'm talking about.
Idk if anyone else mentioned it, but the Wing of Astel can also bait attacks by canceling witha dodge backwards during the channeling, and can do it on either the first or second
I’ve been running moonveil for awhile and it does over 700 damage easily, over 1000 for special attacks. Using a moonveil and blood uchi I melted some of the late game bosses
I'm just picturing the Darkmoon Greatsword in one hand and the Death's Poker in the other. That sounds like it count be a devastating powerstanced combo. Both deal Frost build-up, for one... but imagine off-handing the Death's Poker for it's Ash of War, but main-handing the Darkmoon and buffing it with it's Ash of War. Both are frost greatswords that have some int scaling and can be effective and mid range. Might be something to consider.
What sucks is when you two hand death poker you lose buff on moonlight.. thinking of trying helphens steeple offhand, death poker main hand.. don't know how effective but I imagine it'll look cool with all the black flames

I'm a primary Moonveil guy with Wings of Astel for bosses/big boys. My 3rd slot has the Sacred Relic Sword. I had large weapons so I only pull out SRS for clearing mobs. I'm on NG2, but I always planned on doing an Int/Dex build from the beginning so Moonveil was great for me even after the nerf. The Dark Moon actually gives the most damage (just slightly ahead of SRS) but, like I said, I hate large weapons and the SRS does better for clearing mobs, so...
I’m in between a rock and a hard place as an RPG player because I LOVE intelligence/magic abilities while also loving giant fuckin weapons. The issue is that the royal and ruins greatsword have pretty high non-intelligence stat requirements which make it difficult to cram necessary stats into the ~150 PVP meta. I’ve found the deaths poker to be a pretty happy medium with low dex/str investment but I wish I could use the ruins greatsword while having space left to pump endurance so that I’m not fat rolling with it 😭😭
Glintstone pebble makes any common weapon beastly with intelligence. Pop fb potion and follow up with heavy attack which also has magic and they tend to go down 1st time.
Deaths poker is fun to run. It’s good in PvP against all the bleed builds. With the glitches out there the carian shield 🛡 with magic reflect ash of war and using the crushed pebble or howling bell is the most broken in the game. Everyone who came across these people in PvP knows what I’m talking about. Even is you have a build with min int, it one shots any player and it also crushes bosses.

Clayman's Harpoon: One of the few ones with magic by default; that can also be given whatever ash of war you want. Very useful; and easily farmed off the slow enemies lol
I am hoping we eventually get catalyst weapons back; something similar to the Blue Flame from DkS2 would be amazing.
What would you say about the old reliable, Sword of Night and Flame?
@@larsbohmer6319 It's OK, it's just not OP anymore.
@@larsbohmer6319 if we're talking INT/FTH; its still pretty damn good.
Wait, that's why it has that odd heavy? It's a block?
Second that
This weapon is a shit ton of fun
Facts. First weapon I took to +10 & the range on its weapon art is more than capable
It honestly staggers too well...ran with a friend who was using it and he staggered nearly everything except for a couple bosses
It’s a PVP destroyer, that AoW barely uses FP and is a bitch to dodge repeatedly. Really fun weapon
Meteoric Ore Blade is so under appreciated. Only Katana that scales with strength, amazing aoe, stops flying enemies, and lets not forget they gave us the Ichimonji from Sekiro. The charged R2 on that thing can take bosses out in 2 hits.
Was my main weapon for first Playtrough. Always loved Ichimonji 🤣
I came here to say this, at 80 intelligence and 40 strength mine is at 780 AR when I two hand it, and gravitas has surprising range and damage.
The ichimonji is the kendo style overhead slash?
Loving this sword and found it surprisingly early just finally got the final upgrade on it

The Wing of Astel is the best int weapon in the game imo. Fast, damaging, and a fantastic AoW.
I agree, I had the sword of night and flame. Once I got the wing, my game completely changed. Pretty awesome weapon.
doesnt stun enough so enemies just tank through it
for pve yes.
Wing of Astel is trash vs a high armored high pose mobs. It shines in pvp not pve
@@hossamsalem8878 you really think it shines in pvp? I rarely see people using it and when I come up against a guy using it they never hit me with it. No range and so slow. I think its way better for pve, bosses.
That moment at 9:23 was so poetic. The old meta and new meta taking each other out. Respect
The Dark Moon greatsword's projectile + sword is also a TON of poise damage. Literally smacked Malenia out of the air several times during her fight and carried me through it.
I've used moonveil the entire time but the Darkmoon great sword stacked with Ranni's Dark Moon seems to be more effective against bosses.
Same. I used the dark moon against her with my mimic. He did the melee and I did the sorcery support.
Gonna have to use the weapon with just Int then and see ma nah
Deaths Poker due to the versatile weapon art alone is insane.
@@Away4Ever the fact there aren’t more “Op WeApOn No OnEs FoUnD YeT” videos on the death poker baffles me
The black flame from death poker is scaling with int , dex only increase melee damage. you can test it on that old dragon in Caelid. I tested it multiple times , my int 68 character melt bosses like butter with death poker.

i'd just like to say that I used to watch the minecraft build challenges from 9yrs ago, and haven't gotten any recommendations from this channel in forever until recently, so glad to be back on rage gaming!
For an honorable mention I find lorettas war sickle is quite nice. 20 in dex, int, and strength for a nice moveset and magic damage
It's also one of the longer halberds
Yeah I cleared all of Elfael with it, beautiful moveset
Came here to say exactly this.
I wish you would’ve gotten it earlier because it’s so good but it’s great for a 2nd character or NG+
And to add, the ash of war comes out pretty quickly compared to some other armaments. You can work it into a light combo pretty easily
I noticed that too and I hated it!! really put me off of using it. such a good weapon.
@@juniorelizondo4144 Ya it’s really frustrating when you take damage or die because the projectile either flies over the enemies head, or buries itself into the ground.

I'm sorry but why would you be using Night Commet over Glintstone Cometshard or even the ice variant?
Like Cometshard alone is better fp to dmg ratio.
@@Avestani96 Enemies don't dodge Night sorceries so they will always do more damage then Glintstone. Also, combined with Loss in the offhand it increases the damage by 30% making it FP efficient and the highest DPS spell outside of cheese situations with Comet Azur.
Fun fact about the Death's Poker: It shares the heavy attack set with Sword of Milos (pre-buff), so even as far as standard attacks go, you're going to be able to throw people off quite a bit.
kinda bad for pvp. they pretty much have to run into it great for pve though.
The r2s are just warcry r2s but backwards
And it’s generally awful for pvp
I was able to confuse people by mixing the r2 and ash of war

Fun fact, deaths pokers ash of war flips the scaling for the ghost flame damage and deals more damage with int rather than dex or str :)
Maybe after ng+ and have a ton of extra levels to throw around.
int/dex builds are the kings of preasure, able to pose a seriou threat from every range
LMAAAAAAO thank you for this video.... i did not know...weapons had an R2 attack/skill. I am at farum azula...ive never used an R2. Also wing of astel is the best 👌
With the wing of astel. I noticed if you do the charge r2 while holding roll you’ll swing then flip out as way to attack then reposition.

And you're right about offhand, lately my setup is :
R. Hand: sword of milos, dagger with bloodhound step, staff of loss,
L. Hand: carian regal staff
So i can also change in beginning for fight to staff of loss, and spam better night comet still with carian staff, so casting always on left hand and sword/ash of war/buff spells on right hand.
I like the falling star beast jaw for an int weapon that thing is nuts and u can be across the map and just spam L2 for little fp and just melt bosses
Just throwing it out for those who don't know like I didn't

oh, excellent tip! that bird is driving me insane!!
If the opponent isn't willing to rolling out of the blast zone after getting hit by the plunge, they are going to die for sure
I am super disappointed to the Moonlight GS however. It cost so much FP and the R2 takes millions years use even if you don't buff it. The damage buff isn't that much either.
Royal greatsword is definetly a top 10 weapon. With the right talisman and buffs, you deal about 8000 damage in average.
could you please tell me the armor combination that you are using when showing off the royal greatsword? it looks really cool, dope video btw

Dont agree with the order but they are all definetly top 5.
Really enjoying your content on the channel Hollow.
Shoutout to basic qeapons you can equip ashes of war, 20/20/80 str/dex/int (after talismans) and dual magic grave scythes would wreck enemies
You didnt do Darkmoon Greatsword's R2 enough justice my guy.

Try it out, and youll see what I'm talking about.
Idk if anyone else mentioned it, but the Wing of Astel can also bait attacks by canceling witha dodge backwards during the channeling, and can do it on either the first or second

I'm just picturing the Darkmoon Greatsword in one hand and the Death's Poker in the other. That sounds like it count be a devastating powerstanced combo. Both are frost greatswords that have some int scaling and can be effective and mid range.

Deaths poker is fun to run. It’s good in PvP against all the bleed builds. With the glitches out there the carian shield 🛡 with magic reflect ash of war and using the crushed pebble or howling bell is the most broken in the game. As a mage I think moonveil will suit my best I now just a standard katana with extra passive frost damage or am running Rogiers rapier has a nice diffrent move set from the other rapiers I have found I like the move sets they provide but am slowly using less and less melee in boss fights I use some spells that turn my staff into a melee found out that they go straight true shields and do way more damage then I would be able to do with a sword
Ruins Greatsword works amazing on high strength builds. If it was a tad bit longer it would be OP, the Ash of War makes up for it's range though. Got one of my first host kills with it in Elden Ring. I had the Wing of Astel most of my first play through but never really used it. I should make a build for it seems rather strong.
fun fact, terra magica affects the dark moon sword, which is a neat little detail i like since its literally made of pure magic
should of given Family Heads and Bastard's Stars flails an honourable mention, they are very good when u need somthing with strike dmg. like clearing out a mine or the annoying blue crystalian bosses or fallen star beast
