Another important point to note is buying this type of insurance is very easy. For investing in Mutual funds you need to do KYC which many people find difficult to comply. Insurance industry makes ONLY people who are selling the product Rich at the cost of Customer.

Calculate how much you are getting if you close in between and how much you can gain from making same amount of investment in other better options like mutual funds, NPS or PPF. If you are gaining, you can close it. Generally if you close early, your losses will be less.

They wd have told sec 10(10d).. in this section, you ll get total maturity amt without tax. But this is not a useful point because
      1) ppf, epf, nps with better returns are by default tax exempt on total maturity amt(without 10(10d) section)
      2) returns in ulip and guaranteed return plans are so low that ltcg is not applicable

@@8825607802 Hi... You have to take the decision on your own. What you can do is
      1) Calculate the rate of return in your current plan

Based on this you will have to decide which is better for you and which suits your requirements.

Bhima shree policy will come under which category? Is it worth it?
Can you help me with this?

I dont know abt individual polices. But any plan which has both insurance and investments - you need to be cautious. You need to ask following qs
      1) what will be actual investment - including gst
      2) actual irr including gst in investment.. generally its around 5-6%
      3) long lockin period

@@thinkingtamizha007 I have calculated IRR as per your video,
The return rate was around 7.44%.
Will it be a good money back plan?

@@raguelango003 Make sure you have considered GST. For e.g if 1 L is investment in first year, you actually have to pay 1,04,500 rupees in 1st year. And incase of bonuses, it will get credited only at the end. till then u cant use it. Do calculate carefully. Mostly these wont cross 5-6%

Look at the returns you may get via ULIP., penalty amount and compare with the returns you get via other investments.. You have to take the decision on your own analysing the above..

Actually, i don't like this kind of insurance plan.
Best Term insurance, Health insurance idhu podhum. Money back plan elam waste.
I have fallen into this trap because the bank manager asked me to invest then only they can give the bank locker.
