My question to you is, what kind of water imput does this require? I'm looking at your website and are very happy. If you can produce 3/4 liters a minute with a small unit then in my mind that is great for on the road HHO production. My car takes 47 liters of gas, and gets about +/- 800 kilometers out of it. I have no idea of HHO will have simmilar ratio's but I assume (hopefully not to big an assumption) that that will be 25/50% the same ratio. I'm thinking of putting something like this on a ocean vessel and then using ocean water to generate HHO. Ocean water is ofc not clean and I hear that electrolisys can create sometimes also dangerous gasses, you would need something to seperate these gasses to avoid accidents. The first thing I learned was that Electrolisys actually cleans water by breaking up the molecules. So you could run the water twice or have a second generator to also clean the water. Or maybe desalination before running trough the generator? Do you think this is a good question and would you be willing to awnser: Would you fit one of these on an ocean vessel using sea water? cheers!

I'm trying to understand the physics of this process. I'm assuming that in this system you don't have not powered middle plates like in 60 plate 120V system shown in your previous videos. You have 15 positive and 15 negative plates and you apply 2.3 volt to each plate. ( I mean + - + - + - ... ) Hydrogen is generated around each side of the negative plates, Oxygen is generated around each side of the positive plates. Each plate has its cover which collects gas (Oxygen or Hydrogen) at the top ( because gases flow upward ) And each cover is opened in the bottom for the water and ions to get into. But in this system you don't need any membrane. Just need a powerful transformer to get 2.3 Volt DC. I'm I right ?If you use middle plates, positive Hydrogen Ion gets electron from the negative side of the plate to become a H2 gas, but at the same time Negatively charged Oxygen ions are repeled from the Negative plate side and go through the membrane attracted by positive plate to give away 2 electrons and become O2 gas. So what's the function of the membrane in this case?
The membrane keep the gasses separate so they cannot mix. H2 gathers on all the negative plates and O2 gathers on the positive plates. Neutrals are positive on one side and negative on the other. The separated gases flow to their appropriate ports and out of the generator.
Do you know what's the material for the membrane? I heard that a fine polyester mesh T300 or even higher T500 is the one of the bests. Some people recommend Ripstop nylon 1.8 oz, some people even use nylone Pantyhose :)
Hi there, I know this is a long shot, but I am so frustrated, I just blew up my garage ( literally ) for the third time because there is still oxygen in my hydrogen. I've tried everything in the 'membrane' from argon to mercury and the latest ( that is now in pieces and stuck in my roller door after the explosion ) teflon filtering . I can't make it work, any chance I could email you guys for help please ? Omg seven dam years - its killing me - I'm sure you can appreciate my frustration.. so any chance whatsoever ? ( I'm highly doubting it so I won't be offended if you say no :)
I cant help you with the membrane much but others are using rip stop nylon. You will need to put it in between your positive and negative plates to separate the gases. The tricky part is keeping the gases from going through the membrane. To keep them on the right side the pressures need to be the same on both the H2 and O2 sides. If you apply pressure to the H2 side and equal pressure needs to be on the O2 side. It's difficult to do but if your going to do it I would highly suggest buying a hydrogen purity meter. They are expensive but it's better than blowing yourself up. I'm sure your family wants you around.

When I first started doing hho in 07 I have a reservoir practically blow up in my face. Since then if I can't make it safe I don't do it. Double and triple flash protection is a must if you like life.
Depends entirely on the electrolyte you want to use. Wether it’s alkaline or acidic. Google is your friend on that one! But it should be a something which saturates with the electrolyte while restricting bubbles from passing through. Imagine a fibrous Cloth which swells up a little when soaked. Good luck!
Thinking about the fact that there are two Hydrogen atoms to one Oxygen atom makes me wonder if placing the membrane in the cell at the one third mark (20 plates for the Hydrogen, 10 plates for the Oxygen) might work more efficiently? I don't know if this would work or not or if it's been tried, I've never built a Hydrogen Generator, just a thought..

The water circulates on it's own. As long as the output hoses move up hill the water will circulate (thermal migration).

This cell uses 12 volt. It takes 300 watts of power to make 1 liter of H2 per minute.

There has to be a membrane between each positive and negative plate for it to work correctly.
