Prof. Ayesha, as in her previous lecture, has elaborated excellently, all the aspects of the use of signs, symbols, index, icons, images, colours in cinemas. Films, indeed, are not one man shows, rather collaborative arts of visual abbreviations.Prof. Ayesha in a very lucid and interactive manner, tells about many famous films, heroes, heroines and described the concepts of signified and signifiers with apt examples. She talked about Symbolic codes and Cultural codes. No doubt, a very informative session.
