I was wondering if those holes were made by something else. I did see a father teaching his son to meyal detect few months back. I had to tell them they need to fill their holes and take the trash with them. I guess he thought I was talking another language lol
There are holes made by kids digging in the sand, and then there are detectorist holes. I look for imprints in the sand of the sand scoop, footprints surrounding the hole, etc.. unfortunately, many Detectorists don’t take the trash with them and don’t fill hole. I try to mention it whenever I see it in video, and there have been many occasions where I’ve found the guilty detectorist. I try to approach kindly and explain the importance of taking trash and filling holes. Most thank me for politely calling them out, but there are some that decide to have a serious attitude about it, saying “are you the metal detecting police?”. I just do what I can to make sure we can continue this hobby on the beaches of SoCal without restriction.
Nice score on the coins. Too bad the jewelry was so far gone. I can't imagine how much stuff you could've found had you more time and weren't filling some moron's holes in. 💖💯
Looked like fun! Wish I could have been there but I'm laid up after taking a tumble down the mountain I told you about.
I hope you’re doing alright Vern!
Way to go behind someone and scoring clad and jewelry .. Happy Gold Luck.. Peace
you should metal detect the rocks because they trapped targets so that they can't sink further into the ground.
