This was at Cave in Rock in Southern Illinois population 346 ! The Gathering of the Juggalos was held in Cave-In-Rock from 2007 to 2013. Yes this would be tales from a dirt road for sure !
I was at the show along with the event that was going on I was so drunk that weekend and on so much cocaine I had a really good time though it is what it is... it also helps to find the event if you're in the right State it's technically just over the border of Indiana into Illinois
I loved the story Road Dogg told about how he Dutch and Doug Gilbert got picked up in a 1980s cocaine cowboy limousine full of xanax. Road Dogg got hurt really bad in his match because he fell off the side because he was so intoxicated.
I’ve lived in IL my entire life never really looked into Cave-In Rock, IL (It’s a super odd place to have a ICP gathering event) Very curious about going there to check it out sometime. As divisive as ICP they generally love Pro Wrestling and actually respect it unlike a fan like Tony Khan who is polar opposite to them (Seems to only see Wrestlers as play things/people he can buy and make friends with
Definitely agreed. Every day is Tony's birthday and he has his actions figures put on a show for HIM. And if the fans happen to enjoy it too then that's just a bonus for him. He doesn't care about ratings or anything, he'll throw money at it until there's none left. So expect it to be round as long as TNA has been.
Without a warrant, the cops can't do anything. I had a friend that ran a music studio, and he also operated his side business at the studio. He kept the doors locked, and only allowed people he knew in. Products were sold openly. One day, the cops raided the studio and he was charged with 7 counts of possession with intent. His arrest made the front page of the paper. He never did a day in jail. When the cops raided him, they had a warrant for another guy that was at the studio that night, and used it as a way to get into the studio. All of the charges were dropped since they did not have a warrant to enter the studio itself. He was committing crimes openly, but they could not legally do a thing about it since he was on private property, and did not invite them into the building.
Quite a few RUclipsrs have covered it pretty well. The event is not something to spend time to watch the whole thing, let someone else do the suffering in your place.
I used to have one bookmarded and watched it a ton, it was a great show. Foley was co announcer and had a blast doing it. Unfortunately the video got taken down.
ICP have been running these Gathering shows for close to 25 years, so there is a chance Dutch may have been to more than one Gathering and not even remember it.
If it wasn't a dream, or a nightmare, it must of felt like a fever dream. Those odd lucid dreams that conjure nothing much other then bizarre happenings with little to no continuity
Went in 09 and 2010 craziest festivals by far anybody can attend. I have some stories that if i wrote youtube might delete them. From drug bridge to tila tequila.. scott hall drunk.. i passed out in a chair during gwar at 1am and woke up with balls mahoney stretching next to me getting ready for flashlight wresting lol i smoked a L with ricochet n M riddle that night.
That's no shit 😅 I've been to 11 of em. Great times and crazy shit! I'm getting to old for it haven't been in years. I'd love too but that's marathon festival all go for 3 to 4 days
I do not like ICP's music but they are always an interesting interview. From what I've heard ICP really likes wrestling. Their fans don't. The audience is really just two guys.
Gathering of the Juggalos, it's like the Woodstock of stupid. But it sounds like they had more fun than I did going to Lollapalooza in the early 90s! So Dutch set out at 1:00 AM and was home by 7:00 AM, did a tiny bit of wrestling work, got paid, home by 7:00. (That alone probably accounts for Dutch's not recalling the event... probably seemed like something that happened in a misremembered dream!) Parlays that to content for a book that he continue to see revenue from. Becomes fodder for a successful podcast. That's probably one of the best ROIs I've ever heard of, especially in the wrestling bustiness.
I once held Austin Idlos leg all the way down the isle to the ring ! I ran up and sat on his foot , faceing his leg ,and bear hugged his shin , and wouldnt let go . So he just started walking lifting me up with each step . I also remember being so scared of Lord Humongous that night who was also on the card . Probably circa 1983, or 84 .
We seem harmless because we check people in the wrong no cops needed. Juggalo justice n juggalo courts legit. Love you dutch. That tila tequila shit was wild n yeah shes not bright.
Holy they're passing the Gathering of the Juggalos off as just a massive illegal drug sale. 😂 Yes the gatherings are a massive big party people are doing drugs and there's nothing wrong with that at all. People do drugs at every music festival in the world and especially at wrestling shows. No ones perfect.
They should have talked about the imfamous story of that guy at the gatherong who atope a bunch of other Juggalis shit and yhey found dudes car and DESTROYED that thing 😂
Loser 😆 Rhea is the biggest female star in history but you gotta be the hater huh? I bet you prefer "wrestlers" like Alexa Bliss and Major Gunns huh?? 🙄
Dixie Carter, Billy Corgin, Insane Clown Posse, Rob Black, whoever was behind Heroes of Wrestling PPV and I'm sure there are countless others but why do people with a little money or fame from something completely unrelated somehow think they can just magically run a successful wrestling company? It's like trying to become a doctor while skipping medical school. Only Ted Turner, a successful businessman and Tony Khan, the son of a successful businessman with too much money to fail have had any success.
Most of them are old fashioned money marks. And Tony Khan really is the ultimate money mark. He's Herb Abrams with more money and the same coke dealer. Turner is really the only one who was able to make his business competitive with the WWF in terms of TV ratings, but then he wasn't a mark, and was very hands-off with WCW. When marks get wrestling companies, they don't just want to be investors, they want to actively book them or be otherwise involved in the wrestling side of things, usually creatively. This is where you get your Herb Abrams, Dixie, and Tony Khan. You see a similar thing with sports franchises, even more so in European football. (And again TK does that too with Fulham FC and the Jacksonville Jaguars). They're expensive toys, basically. At least Bill Stone who did Heroes of Wrestling only needed a single show to realize he didn't know what he was doing. He thought he could corner a section of an at that time booming market with a nostalgia based product, which at least was a business centric approach, instead of a markish one. And when he saw it wasn't working, he cut his losses and moved on.
@@PalmersTradingPost duh.🤔🤨🙄🙄....Dutch was there in 2011, he said 300 people. other commenters like you argued with his number so i verified what he said in my post......Cave-In-Rock has a 2024 population of 214

Way less than 300 people out here. Lol
Dutch trying to comprehend what he saw at the gathering is amazing 😂😂

What year was this show ?
You mean Kentucky. Indiana is a little farther away but, Kentucky is just on the other side of the river.
The tila tequila throwing event is on youtube.
Dutch blogged about it too. I remember reading it on his site.
I'd like the hear Dutch's thoughts on the following:
1. Guitars
2. Cadillacs
3. Hillbilly Music
They are probably the only things that keep him hangin on
I would like to hear about the lonely lonely streets that he calls home as well.
@marvinnashwheresmyear yeah because we all know how zoomers love Dwight Yokam

It's really funny to see different wrestlers perspectives on working the gathering

When Dutch said GO ALONG TO GET ALONG got me crying laughing 😂 🤣 😆
I gotta see this abomination of a pay-per-view 😅
The one in Mississippi was the worst. Thankfully I still drank at the time. I could never have watched that sober
The thumbnail 😂😂
Wait, this event is on RUclips 😅😅😅😅
"Wished I'd have had a camera".....
90 seconds later...
"I got a picture of it!"
Come on Dutch, get those tales on the right end of the dog.
Poor Brian, it was literally a Mudshow!!!
By the way Dutch is telling the story of the Gathering. The JCW PPV was another time.
There s got to be video of this 😂😂
I'm sure if you go to ICP's merch site they have a DVD of this

pretty sure Heros of Wrestling was the worst ppv ever
Trust me the JCW one was even worse. Makes Heroes of Wrestling look like Wrestlemania 3 by comparison.
It's very debatable... No Jake the Snake but zero good matches on there
WWA had some really bad shows also
Dutch was involved with both shows. Wow
It's considered equal to this one... or at least it's commonly argued.
He didn’t name that one because he did the commentary lol
I saw this show several years back on RUclips. Not very good. To be fair, 61 year old Austin Idol looked to be in decent shape in that match.
I live in Cave-In-Rock. The farmer's field is for concerts, events, and rallies. Did you know ICP didn't even pay their bill?
Bs, they had a contract with the guy who owned the land for x amount of years and he reneged on it.
