I had the pleasure of watching her on stage during her tour in Brazil back in ~2010. Even though she was getting a bit old in age, the voice power that this woman had on stage was something from another world!
Just imagine the Joy Jessye Norman must have felt knowing her mere presence and vocal gifts was the vehicle for spreading so much Joy to her audience and the world via these recordings. 💐🩷

My favorite song of the concert is the finale duet between Norman and Battle, "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands." That's the first piece i heard of the concert snd that lead me to finding the concert in it's entirety. All of it is a treat and a privilege to listen to.
