Polka Dancing, Basic Circle Movements and Turning, January 22, 2024

A really fun dance class. We were reminded about the international appeal of Polka dance and the varied styles according to different parts of the world.We started moving in a circle holding hands and walking , then moving in a Polka rhythm, then to open and closed movement in Polka rhythm...all this leading seamlessly into the iconic Polka turning style. During turning it's important for each partner to apply energy to help the turning and give a nice Polka flair. Thanks Amy and Jan. A class to remember.
