So glad you pointed out the fact that the 85 Low Retro has a swoosh that is accurate to the OG 85/86s. It's so annoying to see people prefer the 2015 Lows with the jumbo swoosh think that THOSE are OG, when they are not.

I love these I would purchase these in every color, I was worried about having to settle for 10.5 over an 11. But it’s cool , because they’re breaking in real nice. I like the big Nike Air branding on that nice polyurethane insole we don’t even get on $210 retros.
The grey lows are my shoe of the year. I’m going to try to get about 6 pairs and wear them till they fall apart. Perfectly matched for wear with everything! Glad no one hyped these.
Love these.. haven’t undsd my pair yet! Been wearing heavy the neutral grey 85 lows every day for the past 4 months and they already pretty beat up. My fav and most comfy pair of Jordan 1s ever

Got these recently on StockX for $85. Wow, the leather is sooo nice. Has me wanting to grab the greys and some high 85s. Can’t wait to lose the raffle for 85 Bred next Feb. 😂
@Densemankat haha yeah, hopefully the leather is close to these or better yet the nat grey low on next year's black/red.. price is a bit steep but if toe box and great leather it's worth it
The 1985/86 lows had more of a canvas tongue instead of nylon as compared to the highs of the same era, which is what they recreated in the 2024 pair! Great review, waiting on my pair for well under retail!

New pair absolutely destroys them.. I don't understand people saying they are better in any way. You know comfort with the polyurethane insole are far more comfortable
1 of these are based off the 85(2024) and 1 of these builds are based off the PE black toe build from 84 (but as a low cut) (2016) that never dropped you can tell by the leather panel placement and oversized nike swoosh which got noticed over time and as we all know ressellers made that a big deal for no reason. But the ogs got them because of that storytelling of the colorway or just liking them in general.

Good comparison-thanks for the education. Did I notice a difference in the number of lace holes between the retro and the OG? I saw the retro had 7 whereas the OG has 8-would that be correct?
@alethaedwards1796 that's correct, the OG had 8, some of the retros jb is releasing has 7 but these new retros of met blue and natural grey are correct with 8
Quick question bro, had to settle for 10.5 for these , I’m an 11 like you. Got a 10.5 at social status under retail. They feel like less wiggle room compared to OG lows that I like , especially the 2015-2016 run … Do they break in to where after 2-3 wears like OG highs start to feel better. Love Cloth tongue.

But these kids paying $1500 to wear a pair with grotesquely large swoosh & their reasoning is “it’s more OG” lmao then these come out, near spot on, not one QC issue on my pair. Did you ever consider doing a top 20-25 retros of all time , because I know I’m selective with not buying trash = I left 2019 Black Cement 4s alone. I know you hated, but I probably buy slightly less selectively in way I know that’s the only pair that I ever heard. You say that you bought when you didn’t like it lotta times you’ll be like I didn’t even bother picking them up.. So that would be an extremely interesting and refined list I would think .
