  • MARCH TOWARD SELF-GOVERNMENT
1960-1980. This final segment surveys the changes in US administration policies that began with President Kennedy with a focus on improvement of education and health services. The list of government employees expanded, along with the population of the towns. The Congress of Micronesia offered new leadership roles and a vision of full self-government, but also revealed the fissures in an area that had been unified for a century under foreign rule.

Most times we forget the heroisms and services of our founding forefathers.,.. in religions, traditions, & goverments The true courses they have set for us must not be neglected, but to be treasured and thankful for......"our differences bring us together..."

RMI's first President Amata Kabua pretty much screwed over the Traditional Chief System in the Ralik chain, Businesses, and Government of the Marshall Islands with his hunger for power. He only thought about himself and his family. As a Marshallese, I have NOTHING to be greatful for when it comes to Amata!!
