Excellent as usual Tony. Thumbs up. Happy Holidays! I sold my ew425. Then a month after that I had enough to get a e473, so that's what I have. I like that it's smaller and lighter. I can still do almost everything that I could do with the ew425. I plan to go through the manual page by page, and record some videos when I get confident with all the features. Your videos on the ew425 and e473 have been very helpful. Merry Christmas!

Silly question but I have to ask as this burned me on the DGX670. For the sustain pedal does this work with all sounds (in particular pad and strings?). For DGX670 the sustain functionality only worked with piano sounds.

To be honest I'm not sure I would assume so (not really something I thought to test). But . . . the sustain on my DGX works with any sound (I just tested out my DAOK 3rd party triple pedal, as well as the Yamaha brick switch pedal that came with it). Do you maybe have sustain disabled in some way on your DGX? What pedal are you using?
If you don't have any custom changes or setups stored in your DGX that you care about you could always try a factory reset (hold rightmost white key down while turning on piano).

Currently hesitating between this model and the kawai es120. Where i live the es120 is 200$ CAD more so not sure yet.
Also, do digital pianos get discount on boxing day usually ?

Sometime they do but this model is pretty new so hard to say…. I’ve never seen a Kawaii so I don’t know much about them (no retailers stock them where I am).

If you're planning on doing anything other than playing with simple triads and melodies/if you want to become more advanced in piano, then the ES-120 is the better choice. The keys are more dynamic and the touch is much more even across the length of a given key, meaning it's not nearly as different to play near the back of the keys compared to the front of the keys.

@@Persun_McPersonson You are making a good point - judging the quality of piano action by just playing simple chords and accompaniments (instead of some mode demanding classical music pieces or jazz improvisations) does not give the full picture.

Здравствуйте! К этой модели есть приложение на андройд, чтобы увеличить число звуков?

It is MIDI compatible and also has a built in audio interface so you can connect it to any device with a midi/vast sound bank and hear those sounds through the piano speakers without any lag. Yamaha doesn’t make an app that I know of but there are hundreds out there. Thanks for checking out the channel feel free to subscribe
