- The Magic of Santana are Europe's premier Santana show, regularly featuring Original Members of Carlos Santana's band upon request.
The Magic of Santana are the first Santana "tribute" band Tony Lindsay and Alex Ligertwood have ever performed with. In 2012 we hosted the first concert in over twenty years where Tony Lindsay and Alex Ligertwood shared a stage together.
Alex Ligertwood was Lead Vocalist for Santana from 1979-1994. He has also performed with The Jeff Beck Group, The Senate, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express, the Average White Band, Narada Michael Walden, David Sancious, and others.
Tony Lindsay is an 11x Grammy Winner and has been the Lead Vocalist for Santana from 1991-2015. He has worked with Aretha Franklin, Teddy Pendergrass, Lou Rawls, Steve Winwood and Curtis Mayfield, and others.
Recorded LIVE at the Maschseefest Löwenbastion, Hannover, Germany, Aug 7th, 2013.

My first major concert was Santana with Alex on vocals in 1979. They performed at Pine Knob, Clarkston, Michigan.
I didn't know it then but that show was the beginning of a long appreciation for Carlos' talent along with the numerous band mates over the years.
I may be a bit biased but the various forms of the Santana band are among the greatest musicians ever!
Alex for sure had a great voice love it still Continuing hearing wish they all get together with Santana 👍 it would be great 👍

Well, Carlos plays guitar here way deeper and more soulfully imo than on the Steve Winwood collaboration, where I wasn't moved by his playing. Glad to have found this, thanks for posting.

The chord progression in this song has absolutely nothing to do with the "standard" four chords used in cookie-cutter pop. The chords aren't even diatonic. The song's minimalism has been its attraction since Timmy Thomas' 1972 original.
