John really feels music so deeply. He reminds of a classic soul singer. This song is amazing aswell as all the the other great material hes written. What an amazing talent he is.
@@TheYobo1016 I got to hear "...for the first time when I..." saw JH for the first time, and he was all alone with his guitar. I can't remember if it was before "Bring the Family". I was a young kid driving a limo, hanging around Beale Street in Memphis and Broadway in Nashville. Blew. My. Mind. I've been on a John Hiatt kick ever since.
My favorite song of all time. So much feeling and soul. Been my favorite artist since 1989. When I was 9years old. When my dad used to listen to him. Beautiful singer! THIS IS MUSIC!!
John Hiatt doesn't just sing the lyrics of his songs..... He pours in every emotion and lives every syllable. A remarkable genius backed by one of the great slide guitarists of any generation. I live in South Africa, and probably will never see John live, so thank you for the videos.

Greatest song I believe I’ve ever heard!!
John Hiatt is the real deal. Truly an underated artist .... He is up there with the best of them for sure.....
May be the most under-appreciated John Hiatt song of all.
love it. Bought this CD way back in the mid 90's. Prob because of "Cry Love" and/or "Memphis In the Meantime", but this is my favorite song now.
Boy do I agree with you! It's right up there with feels like rain.

Sonny owns that volume pedal, what a great performance from an amazing album
You stood up and you now stand out Mr. Hiatt. Brilliant. Keep standing. You look good up there.

@charlievermeeren go to amazon.co.uk - search for "john hiatt full house"
Is that Dave Ranson on bass?
Dave on bass, Kenneth Blevins on drums
I know...
Nothing under-rated about Hiatt. A long life in music on major labels. Idiots populate this planet. He's not one of them.
Who cares..??
