Linseed oil on 60's Mopar faded paint//FAIL!!

    From what I’ve read it’s days to weeks to dry, depending on definition of “dry” and variables like thickness of coat and whether it was thinned with mineral spirits. Cool car btw

      I quickly found out that its not as cut and dry as I was thinking.

      @@cruisingwithcory440 I just did my old faded paint and laid it on super thick
      It’s been half a week or so and still has a slight “not cured” ness to it, not quite tacky but also not fully cured. I’m ok with it. Looks a thousand times better and for 1/4 of a $10 can. 👍

      Dude you don't have to let it dry for days u need a buffer and to mix wd-40 and another compound and the shine will last 3-6 months
      Vice Grip Garage you tube page the man does that to all his cars look his page up

      @@orbitaljellyfish808 wd-40 bro h need to mix it in a bucket not alot but like 6 or 6 gulps in an bucket of linseed oil and wd-40 and another compound the WD-40 puts a protective layer or melows it out and the other this helps cure it

    Thin it out with 1/4 paint thinner

    A hour or so to do the whole car ...I'd say that's pretty good time ...that's a lot of car you got there ...by the way I'm a Mopar guy also . Mopar or No Car .

    This whole Linseed oil on a car is the stupidest thing in the world. If you ever need to get anything paint, the Linseed oil soaked into things will cause a nightmare. Just use carnuba wax, it'll give you the shine and protection you want without the fear of your rags catching fire.

    Dude u have to mix it with wd-40 and somthing else
    Dude got a you tube page called vice Grip garage and in his episode he mixed linseed and somthing else with a long couple squirts of wd-40 check it out it does work on every car he puts it on even regular paint

      @@ebe-hero7052 bro how u gonna tell me I have watched multiple videos on this they don't put alot but they do add WD-40 in the mixture just watch the videos on it and what paint when ur doing this to that kinda surface the paint is half way gone anyways . Maybe you should look into it before u comment brother .

    Looks Good, Got to put more on the towel, soak it, large car like that, got a big car🤔
