How to drive safely. How to pass
This video is filmed during a driving lesson. It is filmed for educational purposes.
Throughout the video there are highlights to show how you should be driving safely.
I hope this video will be useful! :)

The serious faults in this were scary. I sometimes wonder how you can keep your composure without panicking Aman! The pedestrian not looking fault was scary!
Not sure if this was recorded prior to the changes but you'd have to give way if safe now anyway.
Even at the first round about entry I'd have thought
4:10 Just a small advice, but useful going forward: one should avoid keeping pressure over the brake pedal on a speed bump because the front of the car takes most of the car's weight and gets lowered while braking. Better to brake in advance, release the pedal just before engaging the speed bump and accelerate right after going over it.
I passed my test today with only 2 minors. I've been watching your videos for a few months now, they were such a great help!
That’s brilliant well done!! Glad they’ve been helpful :)
Same here I passed it today. I have gained more knowledge by watching mock test from this channel
It’s great that people are still watching vids, even after passing. My teacher, always tells me that driving is a life long adventure. You are still learning to be a better driver, even after passing! You never stop learning!
I still have a few things to work on myself, which include big round bouts, better clutch control, esp. uphill and mostly issues with lane discipline.
My current driving instructor has been off due to medical reasons, tried to get another instructor for the interim, couldn’t find one. But decided just to stick with my original instructor, once he is fit and well again. Nice to have a break anyhow and go back in with fresh eyes. Maybe I will book a future mock test challenge with Aman, when I am more test ready! 🙏😎
During my first test I saw an old lady crossing the road and I stopped cuz I didn't want to run them over, but the assessor marked it as a serious fault cuz I gave way to a pedestrian quite a stupid reason
Passed my driving test yesterday without a single fault 🥳 Thanks for the videos!
That’s amazing!!
Well done! Nice clean sheet 🤩
I will never understand how a pedestrian making a mistake causes you to get a serious fault. Yes, you have a hand in avoiding any accident, but if it does happen, whose fault would it have been here?
Well it’s just silly from the pedestrian but we have to stop as it’s dangerous to continue as the are more vulnerable
So the fault would just be the drivers
As it doesn’t matter when it comes to insurance
I agree
The pedestrian is making a fault here. But its the drivers responsibility to prevent any accident from happening. Makes sense because when the driver hits a pedestrian with, for example, 10 mph, the driver is 'protected' by the car he is in. But the pedestrian can get seriously hurt. Pedestrians are protected. This is why there are a lot of those fraud videos where people just jump on the hood of a driving car
But she was not even stepping out yet how it can be serious fault.
Another way for the examiners to make money
She is a very confident driver .. I am sure she is gonna pass :) Thank you for the vid!
Eve's, drive with confident, good smooth drive, proactive looking for possible hazards as they developed. wish her well on her actual driving test.
Eva's, good smoothed drive! Be proactive, on potential hazard. Your awareness and observation are paramount. (Always check mirrors, at all time? A few things need to be work on.🦶
Amazing video Aman, great attempt Eva!
finally pass my 2nd test today , your explanation is really helpful
Hey well done!!! ☺️ great to hear the videos have been helpful 😊
uk streets are too stressful
I agree. I passed my test 30 years ago there, but I'm so used to Australia now, UK roads are SO NARROW! They should all be one-way! lol
You'll get used to...
Why i am watching these videos ?? i've passed five years ago but i do like them it helps reinforce the knowlage .
Hahaha always leaving :)
Hey, I passed in 1989 and don't even live in the UK anymore and still keep watching!
And that’s why you should give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross side roads - they may step out without looking!
5:07 nearly caught an accident on camera
Thanks for all the amazing videos! Ive been watching your videos non stop and just passed my test today first time ! 💪🏻🥳
Well done!! Thank you for watching 😊
I PASSEDDD today with only 3 minors!! Good luck to those that have their test coming up 🙏🏾♥️
Well done :)
Omg that happened to me on my driving test, fault that I failed,🙈 as someone walked into the car when I was at a junction as he was too busy on his phone. Lucky I had a nice examiner and pass with two minors
Peds are idiots
Similar thing happened to me, I'd just done a left turn on a mini-roundabout and there is a crossing like 30 yards after the turning and this silly woman runs across the road with her shopping, stalled the car and lost a bit of confidence... but I was able to pass in Jan 2022 with just 4 minors so really happy about that!
Nice little drive the pupil is almost there.
Great video
She will pass very soon. Get her test sorted!
Hey woah, after one year I see this video and there's not the A class!
She drives very well, apart from the lady part...The reverse was not serious for me...and the others are just too sujective to count as an error.
She drove very well. Yes some minors & Serious as well, but she looked pretty confident.
however, 2nd fault was Serious as she was quite fast at that round-about. She didn't notice that padestrian. Atleast she could have honked.
but apart from that it was a great Drive.
After watching a series of mock tests, i Mark myself as well. & i get -💯 (minus) 🤣🤣
Eva loves to speed, she's gunning for Lewis Hamilton's job.
Come on Aman ..That was not her fault... The pedestrian was well within footpath area... Nd she did look before she was abt to cross that line ..
need to install VAR ..
Great video! With the pedestrian, I've seen many times pedestrians crossing the road without looking, even at traffic lights where the light is green for the cars and cars are going at some speed! I'm just wondering in those situations is it best to stop and give way or to slow down and wait for them to start crossing to stop if they are that close to the kerb?
Approach with caution incase the pedestrians doesn’t look abs steps out
Worst case scenario they step into the road and atleast this way you can brake easily
The best about these videos are Aman's facial expressions 😂
she’s so pretty - looks like chloe grace moretz!
25:13 this would be a serious fault either because at that speed if you have slammed your brakes, that's not safe. You can't judge that the pedestrian is going to cross the road or not. So that's actually not a fault and UK's rules and regulations are very much in favor of pedestrians. But why. Drivers and pedestrians both have got the same 6 senses that they can use.
These days we need awareness 360 degrees, I wish cyclists and motorbikes wouldn't lane filter while cars are moving since our attention is what's ahead primarily.
That's not a "these days" thing, that's always been the case. Driving is actually much safer now than it was 20 years ago, and the stats involving serious or fatal incidents back that up, and this is likely because people now ARE more 360 aware than they used to be.
That is why mirrors are invented. It would be nice if someone used them
@@MrHenkkkie Typical answer. I look side to side for these knuckleheads who filter with moving traffic while I'm slowing moving, it's expected, yet they expect us to see everything.
Very nice videos. and am truning to be an ADI its good to look at them
I love your accent ❤️😍
bless you
I passed in December and these videos still help some times
Well done! :)thank you for watching
Saw that the bus said Ivybridge, funny because there’s a place called ivybridge in plymouth and i use to live there but i’m sure this is somewhere else
Hahah yeah this is in Hounslow :) London
Oh some of that was a bit scary Eva, you're a bit of a girl racer! Aman will soon sort those mistakes out with you. Good look and keep going.
Wondering if it was the other way around, the learner sneezing on a vital part of their test route, guess the main thing is keeping your composure throughout the test, no matter what comes your way, dust, hay, wind, storms! Etc…😄
I wish you many safe miles in a new car.
Cant believe some pedestrians they’re idiots i don’t drive but I always look and let the cars go it’s only a few seconds . what’s that important?!!
What I d give to be able to drive I’m so nervous I ve had lessons but woman went on hols and said i didn’t reply to her message for next lesson , i did not receive it she took me off list! This was 2018 , I haven’t bothered to do anymore
Don't you do the shoulder check when your turning or driving from the shoulder in the street and also don't cross the hands for turning the steering wheel?
Love video 😀
I rebook my theory :) driving lessons going well :) yr videos help me :) 🙂😊 i am automic car
Hi, for the reversing Manouevre why did she need to steer? Isn’t it just reversing in a straight line?
Hey yes it was just reverse back straight, but she wanted to get closer to the pavement and went the wrong way 😔
@@ClearviewDriving oh ok makes sense thanks
10:10 - 10:17 foot on clutch all this time. would wear out the clutch diaphragm quickly like this. should have been in neutral gear with one foot on brake and once red light turns green, shift to 1st and start moving. I see that you mention about things like starting off in 2nd gear, driving in wrong gear are wrong as they cause wear and tear of car gears. Please let me know your views on this. I know that this doesnt have to do much with safety of car. However, I can tell one thing which happened with me in here in India few days ago. I got stuck in a traffic jam with people stuffing their cars in one another(that crossroad did not have any traffic police officer/lights at that hour of day, evening time basically). their was one person who stick their car just next to me with the same situation like one foot on clutch and one on brake, and their car in first gear. I dont know how they panicked, may be due to people honking behind them, or their urge to get out of the traffic, but they left their foot immidiately. their car got a jerk and turned off(thats what happens when you immidiately release the clutch in 1st, right), and they hit my door. I thought it was my bad luck getting stuck in traffic with such drivers.but i feel this is important from safety standpoint as well. cheers.
cool story bro
I notice the cars in the channel are manual. Are there videos for automatic cars?
Hey no not yet, but I will have some in the future
The British are a little snobby when it comes to transmission. Most think automatics are for plebs I think. 😂
@@bencodykirk no it’s not 😂 it’s personal choice what you wanna do
@@StephenReidsaintofweatherfield What?
She’s a gd driver. Cars with manual handbrake and cars that are manual are fast. That’s why she was fast while driving at times. That car is just like the Corsa I’m learning in.
you're so pretty:)
Wasn't that a missed opportunity at the roundabout at 10:37 when the black mini car entered the roundabout from the left? Pretty sure she could've entered at the point, no?
Hey yes that was a change to go, but it wasn’t a sufficient gap (not enough to be marked down)
At most it would be a minor fault
Which car is this, and is it her own?
I was wondering that too...
But I think it's a Hyundai I20
@@DashCamGenovaNCC Good shout I think you are right
@@MDM666666 Yup
Has Eva passed her actual test now?
@@dwayner901 yes he did.
Hey yes he passed! I will be posting the video up next :)
@@Moonlight-LLJW-999 Bloody spoilers man
What happened to lovejit
Passed 8 months ago
Are 7.41 her wheel goes over the payment surely that is a serious fault
The back tyre went over and it’s marked as minor fault. As it’s a narrow road and it’s a low kerb
Love video
What car is that you're teaching on? :D
can I ask what car this is please? dash looks nice..
Hey this was a Hyundai i20
I think I d be better in automatic tbh
Yeah it’s much more easier and quicker than a manual, i recommend automatic
Do manual transmission car necessary for road test in UK🇬🇧?
No, you can pick either manual or automatic. Manual allows you to drive both automatic and manual, though and is the most popular transmission in the UK for now.
@milkytwix nice. It's same like in India. But in North America you can choose any car for test and later you can drive around with anything.
So, its ok to hit a curb in exam?
No you should avoid it
She was slow and the back tyre went over a low kerb so it’s not a sequoia fault in that scenario
How long have you been filming in 4K 👀👀
For a while now ☺️
Maybe my instructor is just preparing me to be extra careful, but he says any single mounting of the pavement is a serious fault fail (7:30), and the same for hitting 25 in a 20 speed limit. Also, I'm told I must secure the car when parking on the left, regardless of how soon the examiner asks me to 'move off when ready' (21:00), although probably a minor. What do you think?
Secure the car?
@@M4X1 secure the car = handbrake on, gear in neutral, cancel signal....optional: release clutch, relax and take a very quick breather.
@@theotheoth Oh okay👍
i think its just dependant on the examiner, if its fail or driving fault, also same with the securing the car
Plz change the camera place beside the pedals
Why? What's wrong with its current location?
@@Daye04 I think they are not clear enough to see:( that is just a suggestion
@@Alex.Hilman maybe? I feel like I can see it, but I haven't taken a really hard look. So I might be wrong
@@Daye04 No you are right. I'm so sorry to say it. I have a fetish to the girl's feet on pedals but I think I'm in a wrong place.
I'm so sorry.😔 You are so polite🌹
You are the most kind driver coach I've ever seen
@@Alex.Hilman oh. I'm not Aman. But yes. You're probably in the wrong place. This is a driving instruction channel. You're probably able find someone willing to fill your desire somewhere else.
Either way, this is definitely not the place to ask for it
At 11:47 sneezing into your hand is disgusting; don't you carry a handkerchief with you?
Handkerchief? Talk about disgusting. Unless you mean a disposable tissue.
@@bencodykirk
What a silly point to make, don't you think it would have been far better if she sneezed into a handkerchief rather than into her hands and then spread those germs afterwards with everything she touches? And people still use disposable tissues more than once.
@@redblade8160Your point is even more silly and off topic. No one cares she didn’t whack out a dirty handkerchief before sneezing
@@Bad_Humour
What are you talking about you fool?
@@redblade8160” fool”? You’re the one getting mad at a complete stranger for not wasting her time pulling out a dirty handkerchief to sneeze into while assessing someone drive?
Anyone know if she passed.
