I have the NX300 Luxury and have no regrets purchasing this SUV.
F-sport is not as good off road as the base model because of the low grill. The base grill may not be as pretty, but it's more functional.

The biggest competitor to the NX300 is the RX350.
competitor meaning what?? The NX is much smaller overall when compared to the the RX. The 6 cylinder is still better far better than the 4 cylinder turbo that comes with the NX.
RX is more expensive model.
RX350 is 10" longer then NX
The only real con is the premium

@@davidjym Not true, most of what I buy are individual items, some items may come in pairs. The bigger bulkier items are toilet paper and paper towels, same as other grocery stores. Yes, you can buy bigger items like big screen TV's and lawn mowers and things like that. You're probably thinking of Sams.

I dont like that package...it looks better without it. Like the Hrv with added pieces just looks kind of bammer-ish.

The only against reason it needs is 'over-priced compromises'. I cannot think of any 'for' reasons, even the ones you mentioned. Toyota is trying to flood the market and there really is no reason for this to exist. Too many other better, cheaper options.
I bought a 16 F sport loaded with 30k miles CPO for 25k. It’s really nice.

Does apple car play come standard?
Fail due to noisy CVT transmission and poor acceleration. May still be OK for older seniors.
No triple beam LED for a fully loaded spec?
While LED is great, I am highly disappointed that the High Beam is NOT LED!!!

ISSUE: There's ONE minor but distracting issue with all NX 300's that have the silver trim around the NAV and down to the front dash. When sunlight hits the dash it reflects a terribly bright reflection of the trim into the windshield seen by both the driver and the front passenger. For the passenger it's just an aggravation but it's a serious distraction for the driver by having to stare at a bright light; almost as bad as a car in front of you that's reflecting the sun on their back windshield or bumper towards you. The work around to stop the silver trim reflection in the windshield for now, is to put electrical tape at the beginning of the trim behind the NAV following down to the front dash about 8in where the airflow direction roller knob is located (on each side of the dash). I hope Lexus does a recall to fix this issue properly.

I got one of these as a loaner while my rx350 was being serviced and I couldn't wait to get out of it. So much road and wind noise and overall felt cheap.
No true bud Lexus IS definitely know for their comfort and all there car cars have noise dampers , I’ve been driving the NX 300 since June 2019 and it’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned in my 40 years of driving,the company is very hospitable and professional and it’s the best piece of Japanese engineering out there hands down! Now I myself “used” to think Lexus was just an overpriced Toyota with an ugly grill,but that’s because I was ignorant now I know better so I’m spreading the message Lexus IS super reliable,low depreciation and beautiful 🥇

deaven3 The RX is definitely more upscale but I’ve also tested the NX & it’s not as bad as the very first poster said.
The road noise and bumpy ride was terrible and not what I expected from a Lexus. It felt cheap to me also. The uncomfortable headrests were a problem as well.

Firstly, I am highly disappointed in the overall gas milage as I am averaging 17mpg give or take, and that's really driving normal. The car is bumpy and loud, but even the RX is a bit loud inside as well as we have had RX loaners numerous times. Speaking of loaners, we've had to bring our NX for service several times for several squeaks and rattles throughout the vehicle, but the answer is always the same, they couldn't duplicate it so nothing has ever been fixed. The biggest problem for both my wife and myself is that we better duck our heads as we get inside the vehicle or we will bump our heads pretty hard if we don't. I am 6' and she is 5' 3". We have the 2017 NX F-Sport AWD and we are trading it away to get the 2019 BMW X-5. I initially tried to get the RX but the trade value was very disappointing as our car is in excellent condition with only 20k miles, whatever happened to Lexus holding its value?? We had to replace the electrical display and had to replace the front seat because the stitching was coming off around the base of the seat. I read online somewhere that these issue have been known problems.

Don't bother. Refresh coming next year for 2021 model year. Should get much needed styling upgrades as well as increased interior space. BMW X1 is still the class leader at the moment despite it's extremely flat seats and lousy resale value.
mk5721 a redesign is coming for 2021. This is the refresh of the first generation. The next stage is a complete overhaul.
There is one problem with nxs a strong torque to to the right when you start accelerating.

Try Buick Envision 2.0T with torque vectoring AWD for low $30's.

@@normt5463 True, but the Envision is really not in the same segment of the NX class, but if one is looking for a Lexus, then skip the NX and go with the RX since the 6 cylinder and non premium gas is a big plus.
@@kenevans391 you wont get a RX at less than $10,000 more than a Envision. They are close to $50K with AWD. The Envision Prem l comes standard with 2.0T and Active Twin Clutch AWD with torque vectoring, not brake based like NX/RX. The Buick 2.0T uses 87 octane. The NX is $5,000+ more expensive than the Envision but has the trunk the size of the smaller Buick Encore.

Just a few years ago this was called a Pontiac vibe and you could buy one for under $20,000.00.
The vibe is the toyota matrix rebadged and reskinned. This nx shares it's platform with the Rav4

If you drive this and the rugged Toyota Rav4 you'll see a huge difference. Nothing in common really except the platform. . Also it's made in Japan, whereas most of the 'german' competition is made in USA.
