    Thank you for taking the time to make one of the most detailed and helpful tutorials I have ever seen.

    This is gold! Thank you for this informative video!
    I'll be doing this to my INTEX 26647EG SX2800 Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 14in very soon and will report back with the bearing sizes.

    Really good video. You have paid a lot of attention to details.

    thanks for the video. not my exact unit but looks very similar to mine. One thing to make the bearings go back easier is to put the bearing in a warm spot and put the armature in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for a few hours. sometimes the bearings will just slide on easy with no tapping at all. An old machinist friend of mine taught that one years ago and has saved me from riuining bearings trying to put them back on shafts. O have bearing pullers but think I like your visegrip method might try that one on my motor.

    This has helped me with a new version of the pump as well. It’s diferent inside, but overall the process is the same. Thank you for the guide.

    Mine is a newer SF60110-2 16inch 3000gph mine used bearings 6201rs I easily found on Amazon cause I couldn’t find locally basically everything was same principal with a few minor changes in updated model but since i couldn’t find video for my newer pump I thought id share my knowledge for the next guy

      Also recommend buying bearing puller instead of the plyer trick shown in video at least for the sf60110-2

    How tight did you screw on the impeller when reassembling? When I tighten mine all the way it rubs up against the pump housing causing the motor to not spin as smoothly.

      @kaizenbob6693  2 месяца назад +1

      Revisit your steps. Something doesn't seem right. The impeller fastener does not need to be tight. Roughly 60in-lb. But even if it is a little too tight, there should be no rubbing.

    Like to add one note for my previous comment hardest part of this job is getting the motor bolts out my unit hard 4 this older motor only had 3 but just fyi heat those nuts up good with propane torch head like he says they are loctited and screw head on mine is philips head need less to say first one I striped the philips so I had to use a hacksaw and turn it into a flathead screw but worked great that way

    How do you know if the bearing are bad. I think my problem is the that looks like a bearing on the impeller

    • @kaizenbob6693
      @kaizenbob6693  2 месяца назад

      You will hear it when it is running. It will make a terrible noise, usually high pitched at first, and a rattle noise when it is really bad.

    Question...how do you know when the bearings are shot? Does pump start to get really noisy when it's on?

    • @kaizenbob6693
      @kaizenbob6693  6 месяцев назад

      Yes. It will get noisy. Ideally you want to replace the bearings before catastrophic failure which could damage seals if the shaft vibrates too much or the motor could burn out if it seizes. Plus that extra noise means more energy (electricity) is being consumed.

    Most of the 6082RS that I'm finding are low RMP oiled not greased for skateboards etc... curious what you switched to. Should I stay with the 608ZZ?

    • @kaizenbob6693
      @kaizenbob6693  Год назад +1

      The ZZ is a metal shield vs the RS rubber shield. I used a basic 608RS. I'll see how long they last. Look for an EMQ (electric motor quality) rating for a better bearing.

      Ordered the 608 sets, tore it apart yesterday to find out they are the wrong size... ordered 6201zz overnight from amazon... think my model is slightly different. noticed a different cap and board...

    Where did you get the bearings?

    • @kaizenbob6693
      @kaizenbob6693  2 года назад +2

      I bought them on Amazon but the first ones I bought weren't very good quality. I also switched to sealed bearings instead of the steel shielded.

      Amazon. 608-2RS. Look for EMQ (motor quality)

      Got it and ordered! Thank you so much, I was having a really hard time figuring out exactly which bearing it is. These motors were discontinued due to the newer models coming out.
