I have a low volume inflatable board that is 85 liters, and I weigh almost 200 pounds. With inflatable boards, the board still has a little more flotation. It helps having good wind and footstraps. The smaller boards are more exciting to ride even though they sink at the beginning.
The Dart is something different. It's not made for easy going around. It likes to be trown around. Also on the wave, quick one hand to another transitions while ride up and downwind. Going for an easy ride, no way!
Top vid! Do you think it would be possible to sink a 55L 4'4 Board? And the second question: Would it be possible to start with a 100cm / 12L board this way? What do you think?
Thanks! Will be much harder to get the volume under water, but I would say it can be done on the 55. Never tried though so let me know how that went. 12l might be a bit hard to get up and going. Definitely something to try when you manage on an other board.
Im taking your. challenge seriously. I even put foot straps on my 50 liter surf foil board just to have a "sinker" to give this technique a serious attempt. Am I dreaming or is their also a method to getting your wing out of the water while lying down? Also, what is the largest wing you were able to apply this technique?. Im big and attempting to try with a 8m2 Airrush. Thanks for sharing.
Haha, I will join the 8m challenge! Never tried on an 8... Will need to look out you don't hit your foil with such a size! Don't tip your board over too much in order to avoid this. I'm sceptical on getting out with a 8m wing. But nowadats I can also can get out on 65l boards, which I didn't know would be possible either... Getting the wing out of the water is easy. Just let the wind get underneath it, after keep it up or slide it on your rail when you are lying strapped in.
that is a great technique. It looks easier than trying to get on your knees first.

I’m going to try this on my 23L 4’ KT wake board. I’ll let u know how it goes.
I'm curious to what model you have here can’t find anyone that is 44L ?
ROCKET WING
4’8 142 x 56 x 8,7 cm, 50 L
It's an older model. 2/3 years old. This video was recorded almost 2 years ago by now. 📹
Nice video! are you happy with the Dart for downwinders? I keep reading it's harder to control and enjoy.

@@WingsurferNL 😂 seems accurate. I love its power!
Still your favourite for wave/dowinders?
@@scp8412 No that would be the Freewing Nitro at this stage for light wind days.

@@WingsurferNL Thanks!
Actually managed pretty easily with a 62l appletree jazz board. Shape does matter, went easier then with 44 f-one rocket wing actually.
@@WingsurferNL Thanks!
@@WingsurferNL is better with a narrow and long or with compact cubic board ?
wow, THANK YOU! What was your weight... with 5meter wing you took off so nicely?
About 85kg. Actually with a 3.5 it's really easy when the wind is up a notch more

@@WingsurferNL thank you
Step 1, be powered up. :)
Yes you do need to be for sure.
Its basically the same way we get up with a Kite foil
This is possible without straps?
Poehh that will be a challenge! Not easy for sure.
Met dank
How many liters do you have on this video ?
It's a 44l board.
Did you first try this on dry land?
I don't think I tried that first. Should be okay to try though.
Risky ! I am afraid of the wide front foil that is really close to the wing: Don't drop your wing; it will be cut !
So far so good! Must say I had the same, specially with the pointy high aspect ones. But never happenend in 1.5 years time by now
Nice. How many liters is that F One?
It's the 4'8 with 44liters
@@WingsurferNL Thanks...love their boards (60 and 75 liters)...44 is next!
what a nightmare.....
