    Between your video and Robert's I was able to fix my 940. The hot engine hard start condition was indeed the fuel pressure regulator just as Robert's. Thanks for the help both of you guys are awesome.

    😂 This is true, my 740 did have a bad fuel pressure regulator but it didn't spill out like this one.
    Funny thing about this video is I used to nickname several people Nimrod. 😅

    Sometimes the diaphragms have pin-hole leaks. Smell the hose on the front. If it smells like gas the FPR is indeed bad.

      I’m having weird cold start issues with initial rough idle but then sorts itself out when the engine warms up. I just removed the hose on the front and it smells like gas. I’ll pull it and see if it leaks tmrw, just in case. but I should probably be placing an order for a new fuel pressure regulator? I thought maybe it could also be the coolant temp sensor what do you guys think?

    On our 940 B230FK, when it starts it idles smoothly. However after it warms up, the idle goes off. When you stop at traffic lights, the engine will dip by 100rpm every third or fourth beat, causing a shake. Any idea what's up there?

      @lukemallory7832 Месяц назад

      @@WesternWagon-i5z Sadly not. The symptoms changed on ours so that its idle is now terrible from start for about 5 to 10 minutes then improves. I will need to do some actual testing, e.g. compression test, pressure test, fuel pressure test. The FPR on ours doesn't appear to leak so I didn't change it - are they available? I changed the O2 sensor, ignition module and relay, fuel pump relay, HT Leads and spark plugs as I had them here but no change. I will probably take apart the distributor, do a smoke test on the vac lines as I just can't see any breaks, and renew the intake and exhaust gaskets. The car runs 'good enough' so never major emergency but it's a shame to see it not at its best. Hopefully you get yours sorted!
