*High4 have won a trophy with their song "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms".
Here I am with a compilation of kpop groups that disbanded without getting any music show wins.
Music show wins (or first wins) are so important to kpop groups, it has a meaning that if you win one you're getting recognized by the public. Unfortunately some of the groups didn't get any recognition in their long time career and some of them didn't have a chance to having a long time career.
I included the groups that I know but of course there are much more other groups that we can include in this list too.
I am sorry in advance for any mistakes.
THANK YOU FOR 1 MILLION VIEWS!

*Rania is preparing to debut with a new line up under a different group name.
*Cocosori's disbandment date should've been 01 Feb 2019 not 2018.
*Lastly, Dalshabet is reuniting very soon.
Rania disbanded
luvsik Yeah they had a silent disband, you may want to change the description as well lol

To be fair wasnt Uni.T (the 4mo group) a project group with a limited contracts? the girls have all debuted before so it was more like a revival effort.
The fact that 9muses lasted 8 years and 6 months without having a single win is really heartbreaking :')
I swear they even had a documentary on Netflix too I believe a while back
Thats what happens when your borderline good
@@tacgnol4977 Around 2012-13 they were doing really well but their company is notoriously shit which led to constant lineup changes that sadly doomed the group

Mariella Seifert i mean they were just not that talented enough i guess
9Muses never getting a win should be a crime. They had so many iconic songs. It’s sad that their entertainment didn’t know how to promote nor did they care enough
What u've commented is d raw truth. So disappointed n feel sad for them after going through so much training n hard work. This trainees deserve a second chance to make their dream come to fruition.
Ho Lee cheng I don’t know if you watched 9muses’ documentary about them debuting but the company didn’t even have faith in them. From the very beginning they doubted 9muses were going to be successful and it upsets me sm that these women had to put up with that kind of negativity
Wild love or hurt locker were the songs I expected to win at least once
Dolls should've been the one to do it. Perfecr balance of funk, sexy, cute and one of Sweetune's best work. One of the better attempts at line distribution for a large group (best would be 'Glue' for sure)
@@koolhotsweet Hurt Locker is believed to be the best song in it's year but is very underrated too. It was believed the song has such an excellent music compositions.
The fact that Just in 2019 80 groups debut, its a lot of competition, and we have the old ones

Life is harsh.. for some ppl
The kpop competition is no joke.. Sooo many girlgroups and boybands atm~ Life is harsh..
At least some groups have a win and they can look back and have a bright memory. These groups dont even get that 😭
Really is...
The problem with a lot of these groups not getting a win isn’t that they were bad, it’s that they were up against groups that were better or more popular.
not better other are just popular
Yeah some of these groups are my favourite, but these groups had potential, but yeah other groups where more popular
You are right. For me al this issue about "wins" is terrible because it is just popularity, and it can destroy a new grupo with the label "no wins".
@@natachaquintero1953 yeah I agree, I really wish it wasn't like that
they are still on the stage of potential, not honed skills. stop with this popular group = are worse than groups with potential. they also have talent. don’t spread toxic mentality.
What's even more heartbreaking about UNI.T amd UNB is that they came from a survival show called The Unit. A show that aims to give SECOND CHANCE to underrated idols by debuting them again. (They got the inspiration from Nu'est who rose to fame after joining Produce 101 S2 and even the idols that joined the said show set them as their role models) But sadly, the debut stage and group that they worked so hard on just gave them false hope. It is just so sad and frustrating 'cuz they really deserve the fame (w/ their talent, personality and visual)... Nevertheless, I'll always support them.
Technically 3 of the members of UNB should've tried out for Produce 101. Also Nuest should've tried out for the UNIT. The premise of the UNIT was for older and underrated goups/ idols to get another chance. Chan,Kijoong, and Marco should've tried for PD101. All 3 groups at the time of the UNIT were 3yrs or younger. Nuest should've waited and tried to get on the UNIT. Jun was the epitome of an underrated idol. UKISS has been around since 2008(Jun joined in 2014) they've only 1 won award and that was on a Chinese show. I was glad when he won. Besides UNB and UNI.T were just temporary groups. Most had their own group they were with. They should've never been on this list. Nine Muses yes. I love them. Wondering why their brother group ZE:A wasn't on it oh well.
If only The Unit could get as much hype as Produce. All Produce groups' debut blew up because there was hype.
there was a ton of “hype” surrounding the show actually, with rain and all, but it died out as quickly as it started. also KBS didn’t promote it well at all...
I loved The Unit, actually was the reason I got into Kpop. But so sad about the outcome 😔 they are so talented, all the guys and girls from The Unit, I really grow to love them ❤️
OMG so sad
UNB WERE UNDERRATED AND STILL ARE. THEY LITERALLY DESERVED MORE

@@amie6221 what is dissapointing? Is the one that they disband or the one he just found a love? I'm just asking
Mari Mar wow who wouldthat be
To all idols that are listed in this video;
I'm sorry. From the bottom of my heart. All the tears you've spread as a trainee. All the mental and physical pain you went through. All your depressed days and the sad moments. I am so damn sorry. You've worked so so hard. This is not fair and all of your fans know that. I'm sorry that too many fans weren't able to help. I'm sorry that so much work didn't pay off. I can't imagine how much you actually suffered. And I respect you so much for disbanding with such a sad fact in the neck. The longer you've been trying to become an idol and on stage without the deserved wins... for real, you deserved better.
And to those idols which debuted again or will debut again; you will get the deserved win one day. And if not, please don't ever feel like a worthless idol. In the end its genuinely just a win and the memories you gave your fans, are way more important. Your fans love and care about you. Please don't give up or let a not existing win ruin your desire to dance, sing or act on the stage. There's more for you in the future. I promise.
Ya'll are such inspiration. And all of you deserve so much love and respect. I hope each of you understands that. And definitely knows it....

Pristin is Debuted in 2016 before their song Wee Woo in 2017 after I.O.I disbanded
Especially knowing how hard these idols train to debut

9muses was honestly the saddest case. These poor girls worked hard comeback after comeback, and got nothing to show for it. It breaks my heart that they never got the chanc to experience a win, bur I'm comforted by the fact that all the members are close in real life and still hang out as friends

Wow some them were together for 6 years and 8 years and didn't get one win not one! Kpop is a tough industry!
Big bang dominated and it didn't help when they did duos and solos. Then you had 2ne1 and girls generation, exo.. no chance
Nah its more if your not the big 3 , most likely you either gonna get your lucky break randomly or never get the recognition til you disband sadly
U-Kiss has been going at it for 11 years and still hasn’t happened (properly)
The only way for a group to gain recognition now is either
A. Join Survival Shows (recommended is Produce)
B. One unforgettable fancam
C. Be a meme
D. Have a member so handsome/pretty that the group will gain attention just by that member alone
E. Break norms
@you're ridiculous And like Nancy and Momoland
This reminded me of a singer, who debuted in 3 groups. He is now around 30 and has basically trained for nothing since all of the 3 groups failed.
He was in Roadboyz, BTL and B.Heart.
B. Heart didn't even last a full year.
I feel so damn sorry for him.

Spica, 9Muses, Fiestar, Bestie, Stellar, Hellovenus and Rania will always be as iconic as their songs. All those talented groups gave us such bops, and of course deserved better.
Melodyday were so good too tbh! All the groups you mentioned disbanded like few months befote I got into them. Fiestar was my most favourite out of all these groups,I was so sad to see them disband when Cao Lu was getting more exposure and when Yezi is on the rise. Then boom, I saw the news that they disbanded. So sad...
Also Spica isn' exactly disbanded according to them right? They still have the chance to get back together whenever possibke right? Like EXID and SNSD?

@@iekha_triples7718 Black Swan was that song just sucks that it was so overlooked 😭
Most of the groups doesn't have a lot of media exposure and promotions. Most of them came from small companies. This is the hard truth about KPOP Industry. It doesn't matter how hard you try or how talented you are. What matter is where company u belong, unique talents or visual, good promotions, or just a pure luck.
I don't think so .it's just they need to work harder I think . For example like Gfriend they also from small company but able to succeed . Many more groups that success and from small company. They key is just to work harder . It's just my opinion
@@theez.6238 true though. I used to think that way when I was an early fan for BTS, I also had some doubt. And they worked very hard and produce money to support and promote themselves. So I dont think media exposure and promotions are the only thing.
@@moririn9923 yes . Now there are a lot group already that I think started to be well known as result of their hardworks.

That's why Produce 101 exist, it literally brought Nu'est back and made them more successful than pledis ever could. Unfortunately there's no more Produce

Yeeees ! If they released that song today it would be super popular... what a pity ! I loved them so much
I wish they didnt disband bc they could've rereleased it like this year bc the song so fucking good.
that will forever be my jam
History’s debut song is one of the best debut song ever.. if they kept that style I think they could’ve reached the korean audience that like ballad groups
That AND i might just die
9muses is the most painful one of all because it was literally bop after bop every comeback but still not enough and I still don't understand why 😢
Mel Azemi 8 years as well, oh my god so long
Mel Azemi I agree. I think them, Spica, and Rainbow consistently came out with catchy songs.
They almost got their win with 9muses A but lost by less then 40 points
Madtown didn't so much disband as their company destroyed itself around them when the CEO went to prison for embezzlement and they were left to fend for themselves with no money, no staff, not even a place to live. I can't remember which member it was now, but he was still pretty traumatized from the ordeal and said in an article that he never wants to be in kpop ever again and even discouraged other people from trying it. The whole thing was so tragic.
it still breaks my heart how they were forced to be homeless after that. they were living out of other peoples’ houses :(
bruh thats horrible :(

Pledis is just a plain bullshit
After School, Nuest, and now Pristin ... fuckin Pledis
MZNO i think it’s their will to disband too bcs knowing that pledis is that trash lol
I hate pledis for treating their artist so badly, I love their groups tho
I remember when INFINITE debuted 2010 and almost get disbanded bc they didn't get much attention and their company was onnthe verge of bankruptcy but their CEO gave them a chance, sold his own house, put out his own savings to produce INFINITE's album and they reached the top with Be Mine 💛 then they became the breadwinner of their company. I'm really thankful that they didn't give up and their CEO trusted them 💛💛💛 and now they became one of Korea's pride 💛 Proud of my boys. Inspirits will be right here waiting for your comeback. Fighting!!
😭😭😭
Honestly. Infinite and BTS are two of my favourite groups and are success stories that made their companies.
There’s also boyfriend who along with K.will and sistar made starship the company it is (albiet one with shitty management but nothing new there with companies) and so starship became a more well known ‘reputable’ company and have lots of artist now (which they can’t bloody manage since half of them are locked in a dungeon half the time)

I agree Maybe it has to do how many members they have and Up against the popular ones. Remember Sera = Snsd Taeyeon Even though her Dialect is the same spoken by Hyemi Eunji and Hyuna because they're from Jeolla Province like Taeyeon if doing a comparison with JYP entertainment twice Sera = Jihyo.

Their company is actively promoting them in South Korea, but one of them is enlisted in the military. They have a decent fan base & after having huge success in Latin America. They’ve done tours around Mexico, Brazil, Chile & Bolivia.
User5777
And Argentina
TheEastLight is such an underrated band and they terminated their contracts instead of a disbandment which is a great thing because their agency treated them abusively. I wish they could be debut together again with a different name in another agency.
Seriously, they actually deserved better!
its almost a relief they disbanded, they suffered all kind of violence to be in that band even physical abuse ... no music award or professional success is worth that kind of life
@@MsBie-xy1ph I guess when music show wins are purely based on how the group perform that day on the show and their song yhen we can see many underrated groups win.it's unfair for the the groups performing while popular groups even without performing on that day wins because of staying on music charts and popularity and sales .not throwing shade on any popular groups rather saying generally as the groups performing on that day leaves with disappointment without any win
Pristin should have gotten their first win with their debut song :/ and now they have no chance becuz of pledis 😭 hope they find manageable agencies
They won rookie of the year at the Asia Artist Awards and followed that up with nothing. There has to be more to the story. But it sure seems like poor management.
Jerrod Willea it is poor management, they only got 2 title tracks and 1 for a subunit. Then they disbanded. This isn’t the first time pledis does this. Pledis hasn’t given a group named after school a comeback since 2013 and it sucks. Also pledis used to make seventeen buy stuff their self and they couldn’t afford it so they had to use cheap handmade stuff.
@@mengmeiqi6965 from everything I've read it does seem like poor management and like you said, they've mismanaged other groups. It just baffles me that you have a successful group with 2 girls coming off the success of IOI and other girls with varying success on produce 101. Even with the bare minimum of effort, all signs pointed to a successful group. The inky thing that makes sense to me is that something else had to be going on. But it's quite possible there wasn't. I'm so disappointed that Kaachi has had more exposure than these groups. Some groups are still going after years while barely getting 20,000 views IN A YEAR

Fabiana Bueno Lmao stop acting like just Korea slept on them 😭😭. Their music video views are proof ALL Y’ALL slept on them too
man!
9muses too
There are many factors, not necessarily people ignoring them, but rather a bad timing and publicity, small scandals and concepts that went unnoticed, and don't get me wrong, those groups were not bad, but they came at a time when the market was being taken by other groups like Twice, Red Velvet, EXO, Seventeen and of course BTS, which caught the attention with unique concepts and sounds (and had the support of big companies in some cases), they just had a really really bad timing
Nine Muses remains a mystery. They were talented, hard working, beautiful and their songs were all bops. How didn't they win anything?
씨줄리아 popularity is honestly a hard thing to obtain, im just surprised they lasted this long without a win :(
Their giant women concept didn't appeal to the public and they couldn't hold a steady fan base
Agree with u on your fair n accurate comment.
No joke, they'd make group like GFREIND looks small because they're such a tall girl group.
They debuted in 2nd Generation competing with the Legends
Before Mamamoo, we have Spica and Melodyday who have a strong vocal
Oh my God This is What I Though Spica's Vocal are no joke, they were supposed to be get 1st win, they deserved it So much
Honestly Spica is a fucking dope group. The rapper honestly sounds like a main vocal material. If you heard their cover of right here. Damn
Well it's time to us open our eyes about the 'fairness' of KPOP world. Ones that has a strong backing (big agencies) and looks surely always ended as the winner. That's 100% guaranteed tho. Only PLEDIS trying to mess around with their good group such as PRISTIN.
We still have Matilda, at least the last time I know they still exist.
And 15& isn't officially end.
Now I remember that BTS was supposed to disband also before the I NEED U Era. I'm so glad BigHit pushed them through and BTS never gave up even with the tough and toxic industry especially for talents from small companies. There are so many underrated groups out there, all they need is a chance to prove themselves and a caring company to support them all through out and treat their groups as a family and not just money-makers.
Exactly. That's what makes BTS success so amazing. There were some groups from small companies that made it big in 2nd gen too like SISTAR with Starship and Beast/4minute with Cube. But everyone thought K-pop was starting to die in 2013/2014... A lot of 2nd gen fans were very blinded with their egos, they couldn't see past their own noses enough to notice that 3rd gen groups were debuting with more polished skills than most 2nd gen groups did
Yes and so many new armys don’t know that...
Yeah, I also hope that groups in these videos would’ve pushed more and could get more success than disbanding, it’s like wasting talent, I mean look at BTS now, they thriving
It also helped that they know how to write/produce their own music. Most of these idols are manufactured so they are disposable with the next young generation. If they don’t got anything else.
Wait they were gonna disband?
So many of these groups lasted a long time without any wins. This shows that bops are produced by many groups but only the mainstream one's are seen and given wins.
That is why even with controversies Big Company Has... They are still the safest bet to debut with all that years of hard work as a trainee.
One word: zimzalabim.
( And it is no bop in any way)
@@yachishairclips2250 they are usually but there are some artist that haven't gotten wins in bigger companies. Even then it can take over a year to get a win, but yeah, you're usually promised a win.
@@yachishairclips2250 because win in music show doesn't mean everything. A group could hold and survive as long as they make income. And all groups from big company will always make enough income. Because eventough they don't win any music show they still could make a concert or even they sales are already make enough profit. This is proven with Got7 who lasted 3 years before they 1st win, day 6 even without no win until now. Their profit was enough for them to survive and not disband
@@Ms1stprime Fyi, GOT7 got their 1st win below 2years actually around Oct 2015 I believe. Even tho they not really famous then in Korea but their i-fans are huge and keep growing eveb until today. But i agreed with your statement . As long as the band can make profit with album sales, concert, fan meetings, merch etc the chances to be disband earlier is less.
the number of ggs on this list is just saddening...
And most of them are talented and even have some bops. What a tight competition 😭
if the song played every group is theirs, im shocked. most of them were bop and has unique concepts
Those are their songs, indeed
Yeah, all of the songs sound cool!
Nine muses, dal shabet, stellar, rainbow, history, madtown was iconic. So sad to see groups disband without thier first win
This just shows the reality is the kpop market is over saturated and you could be a phenomenal singer/performer/visual and still not make it big...
Exactly. Companies keep pumping out new groups for the sake of trying to make some money. It's basically impossible to make it unless you come from a big company or you are really lucky.
It doesn't help that artists have minimum to nil creative control. Making all songs sound factory produced
ok but not at how nobody talks about THE EASTLIGHT, these young and talented boys deserved so much better, they got abused and hurted by they're own producer and CEO so much... I loved them and still do,hope they are recovering well...

Change the title to
Highly underrated talent that Koreans didn’t appreciated enough
And international fans.
Genius comment
caytlin100 So True ~ Thanks ♥️
the accuracy
I don't understand why international kpop fans have to always target Koreans 😑😐.
Triple H was my favorite mixed group...
I hate cube + 'fans'
They deserved so much better ... their music was incredibly good ... I miss them so much ...
same tbh their songs were rlly good :/ i. miss them a lot
Anyway I hope Cube won't treat their other groups like that in case of dating 'scandals'
Christian D.O ikr I hate it how people call it scandals they are saying as if dating is bad
it’s even more sad because they left their families, dieted, trained for years and even learned a new language for this dream just so it could end like that
Let's admit that we actually like or even knew at least one of them. And it's hard breaking to see them disbanded without winning
I am pretty mad about UNB, Uni.T, The Ark and Triple H😡
(Edit: wow 2.5 K humans agree with me...thats cool👍)
me too...at least Hui is still der...i hope Pentagon will win soon!
I’m also mad about pristin because pledis sucks, they could’ve won if they stayed together and actually got songs but no they got 2
To be fair UNB and Uni.T didn’t have to many comebacks so less chances to win... I think if they stuck around a little longer they would’ve gotten a first win.... whereas older groups like SPEED or 9Muses had probably a dozen comebacks and never got a win :(

9Muses is really one of the most painful cases ever in Kpop history.
They really came out with Bops like WILD, GLUE, NEWS, DOLLS, GUN and more but they never win anything in almost 9 years ;-; It's really so SAD.
It's hard to win an award cause of their big rivalries like TWICE, BTS, and other big group in kpop industries.. that's the sad part of being a kpop Idol..
@entre mlm i don't think they will be paid, cause the years of training and expenses of the companies that they invested to their Idol... if they got commercial.. or guesting etc. That money will go their company because Idol that has recently debut are in debt... meaning before they debut they all have debt so if they fully out of deb to their company.. that's where they gonna receive their first salary.. have u watch one of the episode of korean variety show which a momoland member is a guess, where she revealed that she haven't get her first salary yet because they're all in debt.
Old school Kpop fans know:
Rainbow
Hello Venus
Dal Shabet
9 muses
😊
RIP right these are the ones that hurt and the boy groups are another thing 😭
I loved dal shabet 💔
NoneKnowing right?! I used to stan C-Clown but nobody I know irl knows them cause they never got the promotion/attention they deserved TT-TT
I miss them 😢
And secret
*I was literally broken apart when I saw the news about History disbanding!! I mean they were one of my first groups they were like the light to my soul!! I WAS JUST HEARTBROKEN BY THE NEWS!!!*
Also for 9Muses, gosh they had bops but people just didn’t do much for them!! They lasted long and I’m thankful for that!!
9muses story is the saddest to me. They had great music, so much talent and amazing stage present, they just couldn't make it. It hurts, because I was trying to learn more about them when they disbandent, and it felt horrible. I can't imagine how the most harcore fans of they could had felt.
😭
But I think changing the line up also affected the group
Not enough people are talking about Fiestar and Stellar. They both had such amazing songs, but they weren't promoted enough and their companies did them dirty. It breaks my heart because they two of my favorite groups.
Agreed. Theres so much wasted talent here.
Same. Used to absolutely love Stellar but their management was a nightmare. Same with Fiestar.
You would think the momentum that Yezi had from Unpretty Rapstar 2 that Fade Entertainment could have promoted Fiestar to the moon.
@@funtimeswithtom4108 Entertainments do not know how to promote. Except for maybe Big Hit
I remember Stellar saying that they were forced to do sexy concepts because it was the only album/songs that gives them sales :((((( Even though they were so talented they were slept on :(
Nine Muses will ALWAYS be that girl group who were the most underrated throughout their whole career. With all the inconsistent company line up changes and factors they weren't able to control, they always served amazing bops and were talented visually, vocally and with dance.
Agreed
So true, the most disayangkan group in kpop history.
Some of the group were ahead of the time. If they were to debut in 2019, they will do well I think.
Its unfortunate that these groups didnt get a win :'(
Madtown had some great songs... Emptiness was so good.
I'm sad for the eastlight and I hope they will form a group under a GOOD company.
I loved history's songs too.. It's sad they disbanded.
Ajax members used to be on the older variety shows that I used to watch. They were so funny. It's so disappointing they disbanded.
For all of those worring about Dreamcatcher ,there's no need for that they're not going anywhere :) here's some infos why cuz i did research.Their youtube channel gain more than 200k new subs in just 2 months, they sold over 50k albums for this new comeback and ppl still buying albums every day,me myself bought 4 :) #Dreamcatcher was trending #1 on bugs (which is kinda similar to spotify so ppl in korea seached for them) for few weeks .You can clearly see that they getting stronger each comeback,i don't even need to tell you that they gained alot of international fans too do i :)
I think because DC ever disbanded with name minx and the member is depression, and i heard if they disbanded again the ceo of they compeny will makes a kimchi restaurant for them
Happy to hear *sorry i mean read :v that
That fact that they almost win over everglow who is similiar famous with dc in the show when promoting deja vu remember? Everglow wins 7 points over dc, only 7 pointss, but well i stan everglow more than dreamcatcher back than but i feel sad that the fact they didnt win bcs they already long time ago debut
Their member Aurora participated in Youth with You 2 under OACA
Jiwon was in spica and uni.t can you imagien what that feels like
And Woohee was in Dalshabet and uni.t
And Yoonjo was in Hello Venus and uni.t
And Lee Suji was in the ark and uni.t
Then all members in uni.t experienced the double disbandment :(
@@jwibao NC.A is an very underrated solo artist
Dia (Yebin was in uni.t) didn't disband, are underrated but actually have a first win
Sonamoo (Euijin was in uni.t) didn't disband, are underrated but win an award at list ( new korean wave music star award of 2017 )
Laboum (ZN was in uni.t) didn't disband, are underrated but actually have a first win
April (Lee Hyunjoo) left her group as Yoonjo did with Hello Venus
So yeah Uni.t members history is sad in general ( and it's the same for a lot of other The Unit contestant
@MiekoNeko same...
Black Shire uni.t was such a disappointment like honestly how could they do that??
Madtown, Speed, History, Cclown, Hello Venus, 9 Muses and Stellar were fairly well known, too. They had quite a few fans as well! And yet they never won.
Don’t forget cclown too they on they spot light suddenly they disband
@@Ekinhae Oops! I'll add them now!
Amemura Ramuda ikr I really miss HelloVenus! They had so many good songs 😢
SPICA was also actually quite well known
So sad when they disbanded TT
Lets hope that in the future we don´t see Dreamcatcher and Loona on this list, just because they are too unique for the koreans and their ridiculous music shows.
Weki meki
I don't think that will happen. I predict that they will get a win soon.
loona got a win now!
Yeah, SBS be doing everything they can to steal Dreamcatchers well deserved win.
Loona comeback is supposed to be more mainstream so maybe a first win
i remember madtown, high4, history's songs are BOP and them visual is no joke but well, the competitiveness is too strong out there :(
Maybe Triple H would've won a award if cube didn't kick hyuna and e'dawn out 🤦🏽♀️🙄
And it's just because they're dating🤦♂️🤦♀️
@@jonesanderson8023 darling, thats becouse stupid people and cube ent. Not bz they wanted to find happiness in their lonely lifes

@@kinga9445 I think @Jones Anderson meant because Hyuna and E'dawn are dating, they were kicked out of Cube.

What Bestie,Rainbow,Stellar,Feistar,Dashalbet,9 Muses,Rania Didn't Won Any Award? That's Sad And Suprising
I think Dalshabet won in other shows but not in popular show like music bank or mnet. Because Dalshabet never won in popular shows.
@glossorange I heard that a lots of none fans said they heard a lot about Nine Muses and thought they were popular but it surprised them as they found out that NM is not popular at all.
NekoMiki82 i think a lot of people know of 9muses, especially back a few years ago before all the lineup changes. Their sales used to be pretty good (not as big as really popular groups but not bad at all), but I think all the lineup changes really hurt them (even though I think all the members are great).
Now i'm scared for April, Sonamoo, SF9, Pentagon, Gugudan, Kard and Weki meki 😥😖
Kard is doing great tbh, they have a much large international fanbase than korean + they win awards. It's almost pentagon and sf9's time i hope ;-;
It's nearly done for Sonamoo, complicated for SF9, April but Gugudan, WM and Pentagon are pretty safe for now
Juan García I believe all groups will stay in the scene for a long period of time. Pentagon and SF9 are almost at the brick of popularity. They’re almost there, they just need more publicity. As for the girl groups, I think they’ll all be fine in the industry, except for Sonamoo. It is true they could possibly be almost up, but let’s hope not.
@@nicole9856 but jseph has to go to the military next year and kard will be stalled without creating a fanbase..
Astro is in danger too😭

Even I was thinking the same thing 😭
One of my ult groups are gonna disband real soon and i really wish they get a win with their last comeback but i just know they most probably won't cause their management is pure shit
Illogically Logical Are u talking about pentagon are they really disbanding soon?
I miss the old kpop era when they get win because of their music and talent 😢
@lexha wish I agree with you
When was that? Idol group has always been build by popularity. Only after they have enough fans, they could show music and talent.

Ikr! They had this classy vibe too. I was inconsolable when i found out they disbanded😶

i think this is proof that songs and/or talent is a small, small percentage of an idol group’s success.
Mostly it depends on which company they belong to😢 cuz on the list they actually have it all talent, charm, visual, perfect mv and bop song...

All the sexy and mature groups disbanded...#notfair
A lot of them were forced to do that concept because at that time most groups out of the big3 flopped and small companies being money hungry were using these women
Yeah... the only one I can think of is Aoa but they’re most likely to disband since they lost 2 members... and their fanbase isn’t that big
Sexy concept isn't always good, most of them disband because it was boring.

Fandom babe, their fandom are not big enough, like most of popular groups do.

lebah madu but why their fandom don’t grow? Bcoz dont popular groups start with small fandoms as well? It is so sad that they are so so many kpop groups that never make it outside of South Korea or Asia or barely make it even in South Korea while some grow extremely huge whether it is only in South Korea or just in Asia or internationally. I’m pretty sure The Ark had all the potential to be big :(
Maia M I never really understood why. All I know is that the agency forced them to separate without any other explanation for their fans. They lasted about a year only, maybe less.. :(
@@norazlina2847Nope, it was because their main vocal (Yujin) fell sick and had to have surgery on her vocal cords... leading to their hiatus and eventual disbandment since the company didn't want to put effort in promoting them afterwards. The Ark truly deserved better. They were well-rounded singers, dancers and performers in general. The members are still close to each other up to this day though!
Two of the members, Jeon Minju and Euna Kim (leader-lead vocalist and main rapper) are now in a duo called KHAN, and Jung Yujin (main vocal) is now a solo artist by the stage name MAIL.
Halla (Lee Suji), the main dancer, actually got into a group Real Girls Project for a web drama called Idolm@ster.KR but the group wasn't really known. There's just to many kpop groups running around now. The chances for a success is slim to none cause you have to compete with the well known major groups. It's sad to see them disband like that after they work hard. Let's not forget they still have to pay on what the company owes them.

It's a cut throat industry. Sadly a lot of good groups fall through the cracks.
but they either di something else or do acting or so.ething so at least there's that
@@aaa-tm6sf nope. That's plain wrong. They're plenty of reasons and examples for why it doesn't work out. And very rarely is it the artists fault. Prime example Pristin with the company Pledis. Great girl group, company completely mismanaged a popular group.
But its still a cut throat industry. If your in the big three or well known companies your chances are higher than others if not you got to work your ass really hard to get notice. Im not saying well known companies are guarantee success but just a much higher chance than others at the moment in korea.
And then some cliche crap gets all the clout. It's not fair
