As a Korean, I know all of these songs and they are really called "legend" Although most of K-pop songs are known only by fans these days, it is no exaggeration to say that K-pop in 2009 is known by all Koreans. I really miss this time.

I became a a kpop fan in fall of 2008 so 2009 was my first full yr as a kpop fan. So many iconic songs from 2009! I remember learning Gee, Honey, Wanna, Ah, Diva, Bo Beep, Muzik, and Hot Issue's choreo lol. Genie is still one of my all time fav kpop songs.

Oh the nostalgia~! 2009 is the year I discovered Kpop and all this time later I still am a huge fan. I will always remember the 2nd and 3rd gen groups/idols that got me into Kpop as I continue to support later 3rd gen and now 4th gen groups/idols that are performing now ^w^ being a "multi-stan" is hardwork but I've been doing it for 13+ years now so it's second nature. Also the fact I know every one of these songs and can sing along still XD
I discovered Kpop around 2007 or early 2008. It really saved my life for making me happy and boosting my creativity skills. It was not accepted here in my country during my life (even Korean food), they even called me weird, but I love it, cos I discovered the music that I'll enjoy for the rest of my life.

A reminder that 2PM's Again and Again was in Top 5 and Hate You in Top 50 of most downloaded songs of 2009 but for some reason both songs are often ignored.

The 1st year where I knew about Kpop only by magazine is 2007. Begin with SNSD,Wonder Girls & 2NE1
2NE1`s debut single `I don`t care` was mega-hits in Korea all half of the year(released in July1,2009)
and most downloaded/sale song in 2009 and they swept almost all the awards that year.

2009 to 2013 was the golden age of kpop
By saying this, I don't mean to relegate this generation of Kpop, but my heart belongs to these old gems. The melodies, concepts, vibes, etc. have etched onto my brain so deeply that whenever and where I hear them, I can always sing along

I got into Kpop in 2011 but 2009 and 2010 were the years I remember finding first in my Kpop journey. These songs bring me back to high school when I played this era all the time.
Yung mga panahon na wala pa akong android phone after ng school na sa computer shop agad pag uwi mga 4 hours ako dun tapos Saturday to Sunday nasa computer shop parin nag dodownload ng mga kpop ulzzang piture para sa Facebook cover 2NE1 BIGBANG SISTAR BOYFRIEND talaga nag dala sakin sa kpop pati ate ko nahawa saakin grabe miss does days 😭 yung more on story yung mga MV noon but now puro sayaw makikita mo sa MV 😭
Tvxq brought me into kpop world and my high school was full with these precious groups and songs! I can sing along to most of the songs! Compare to now which I only know few super famous groups, maybe because of I'm old already 😂

Yup. This takes me back. I got into not only Kpop, but Kdramas and variety shows. Of those variety shows, We Got Married started during this time. Taeyon and Hyung Don just got on the show at the time Gee was released. I think that song got a lot more exposure because of We Got Married. Not to mention they were cute back then. Well at least Taeyeon was! 🤣

K-Ville's vote for A Boy is EPIC! To this day it's one of my favourite songs. And having had the opportunity to see it live is one of my most precious live concert memories.
