    I use this and the effects section is top notch, the flexibility in sound design powerful, and the sampled instruments are good enough quality and sound like the real thing.
    Thanks for making this vid 👍🏾

    I"ve been working with Miro 2. It's been growing on me for a while now. It can do a lot, and is now the centerpiece for my scoring projects. My new gripe is not having a manual to thumb through to learn more about what it can do.

    Thanks for this review. Yeah this is what I'm looking for; To me it is all about accessibility. When I am inspired I want to have an intuitive and simple workflow so that I can get down to recording my inspiration / creativity; nothing kills that most crucial thing - your flashes of inspiration - than getting bogged down in complexity and scrolling through menus, and having to switch between the mouse and the keyboard every five seconds. While East / West is undoubtedly more elaborate, I have some really bad memories using that software due to the inspiration-crushing WALL between their GUI and me getting the sound I want. I'm sure people who use that stuff probably write their scores in perfect notation first, and then get to work actually putting it together, but that is not how I work. I like to just right in and let the sounds and my fingers make the magic happen, and for this I think Miroslav Philharmonik is the way to go!

    When Classic Edition of Miroslav is on sale you can get it for half of the price, sometimes eaven less (40$). I am Cakewalk user and i like free stuffs that i have get with cakewalk, but this library is worth the price, i have buy this thing on sale and i am very hapy with it. Its nice feeling to own legit softwer and not be money-broke at the same time. Ik multimedia is my favorite company. Symphonic choirs from EWQL are worth the price when they are on sale, i like word builder. I have spend les than 200$ on symphonic choirs and Miroslav. That is all i need, and my VST journey is now closed. I am not brook, and finaly all softwer on my PC is now Legit, thank God on Cakewalk by bandlab and summer - Christhmas sales.

    Two questions - if allowed:
    1) Why the VOL is on 0 dB instead of +6dB ??
    2) Why all tracks are PAN in the center of stereo field and not situated like the panorama of a real orchestra ??

    I’m just getting introduced to Orchestral software, and I am pianist who’s really interested in the software programs. I’ve written symphonic orchestral music before, but it was old style with handwritten scores, then sent off to the copyist. Does one need a midi controller keyboard for expediency or can you use the piano roll on the daw? Another process I’m confused about is, if there are only 16 midi channels, how does one assign multiple instruments to different tracks? I’ve watched RUclips videos featuring Orchestral software, and there may be 40 to 50 tracks. How do you assign 16 midi channels and audio to that many tracks? I realize this may be MIDI 101, but I would really be interested in working with orchestral software. Looking forward to your response.

    • @davidcuny7002
      @davidcuny7002 4 года назад

      It's faster to enter music into the DAW with a MIDI keyboard, and then edit it in piano roll mode. As for MIDI, you can have multiple instances of Miroslav running at the same time in the DAW, one on each track. For example, you could have 64 different tracks in your DAW, with each track a different instrument. Each track would send MIDI data to its own instance of Miroslav, and each instance of Miroslav play to a different instrument.

    • @shayneoneill1506
      @shayneoneill1506 4 года назад

      Generally what people do is , for something like 64 tracks, you'd have 8 instances , with 8 sounds loaded on each, and then all the routing set up for the other tracks. Its a bit fiddly so what you wanna do is set up a template with it all set up and off you go. Make sure you have a heftier machine with a lot of ram, or you'll be be in trouble

    Just can't take my eyes of the CPU Usage Meter of Studio One. Is this just because you're using an outdated daw or is this usage in any way related to Miroslav or IK Multimedia Products in general ?
    OK you mentioned at ~5.09 that you have a very potent machine under your desk. So I assume the high CPU load is just related to Miroslav Plugin then. That's a pitty as I assume arranging a whole orchestra score without constantly bouncing tracks is not possible with that thing. Any other experiences ?

    • @consordini6258
      @consordini6258  4 года назад +1

      Whoa, you have an excellent point - I didn't even notice that myself. I honestly have no idea why it's doing that. I've used Miroslav a lot, including on that machine (Asus ZenBook Pro Duo, i9 9900K, 32GB RAM, RTX 2060), and never had an issue working with 10+ tracks in it. In this vid I was running the latest update of Studio One, which has always been pretty CPU efficient. But I haven't seen that happen to my CPU before or since. Weird. In any case, don't let it turn you off - no idea why it was doing that. May have been related to my screencap software or something. Good eye though!

    I've read there is a standalone version of the program you get with downloading the product. Does this standalone version allow for simple midi importing, for example can I import a 16 channel/track midi composition and just assign each track an instrument and include the key switches in my composition? Can you mix down and send out wavs from the standalone program? Sorry for so many questions but I don't have any modern DAWs and am on the verge of buying this

      I bet you can. Right now I'm using East Hollywood (just thinking about switching into this one) on my Ableton Live 11 and works fine. The only problem comes with rendering, Ableton Live doesn't renderise on real time so you could get troubles exporting the mix. Anyway, you can easily solve this just recording it into audio.

    well seeing this video came out only 2 years ago I gotta say, unless you are looking for that old videogame 16-bit sound or something of that style don't buy this library, it just won't hold up and it's a terrible investment, Musesounds sound x1000 times better if you are a notation software person and it's free. If you have a DAW and can afford it get Spitfire's BBC Core, or buy kontakt on discount and use orchestral freebies from companies who do quality orchestral sampling. Anything is better than this pretty much

  • @kadiummusic

    It's a fantastic bundle of orchestral samples, BUT... the player is far too small and crashes all the time. I play Miroslav Philharmonik 2 through my Sampletank 4 free player which is far more reliable and enjoyable to use. IK need to update the player it they want it to be taken seriously. 🤔

    Great content! I'm very much interested in Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE, but I need to understand something first, though: can I import the midi files I have into it and work from it, or I necessarily need to work using the keyboard controller? I didn't find this information anywhere on internet, so if someone can explain me this, I'd appreciate. Thank you! in advance! :)

    • @consordini6258
      @consordini6258  4 года назад +1

      Yes, you can definitely just work with MIDI data, no need for a controller. It's a plugin for a DAW so you'd just use the piano roll editor in your DAW.

    • @micwarren21
      @micwarren21 4 года назад +1

      Cnsordini is correct. Save midi file as type 1 so tracks imported separately. Then assign each track to it’s individual channel with output to Miroslav plugin. Load paches in Miroslav with channel number corresponding to your midi track. You’re good to go. Edit in your DAW pianoroll.

      I would NEVER give this company $500. Ever.

  • @landonp629
    @landonp629 3 года назад +1

    Except the sound quality is crap. Their samples clearly haven't been updated - and sound like something played off a Korg Stage. Beyond that, there are MUCH cheaper, and MUCH better sounding libraries that are easy for new composers to use - "The Orchestra 2" and "Amadeus Symphony Orchestra" are all under $300, and include full singles, ensembles, and even orchestrators.

    • @landonp629
      @landonp629 3 года назад

      @@keithstarkey5584 not really, no. The library sounds awful. It might be useful if you just want to play around and learn, but the samples will never be up to what you need for professional or to sell tracks made with it.
      I’d highly recommend looking into something like ‘the orchestra 2’ or ‘Amadeus’ libraries.
